National Day of Silence- 2014

So the Day of Silence is on April 11th!

 

I was kind of curious and wanted to know who all might be participating this year.

My teacher told my Human Geography class about it... still not fully understand it.

I will be, I think a fair amount of people at my school are.

I will be participating in it.

I will be heavily involved in the process. I plan to spend most of the night before duct-taping people's mouths shut.

The National Day of Silence is sponsored by the GLSEN ((Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network)). It is a day of action across the country in which students, from middle school to college, take some form of vow of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. Through their activities, students can speak out against harassment and organize for change in their schools and communities.

I'm always silent so no difference really. Whatever you do at it, I'll participate. I support the purpose of it.

My job requires me to yell at drunk and disorderly college students. So I cannot really partake.
