Flappy Bird was never "fun" or "addicting" in the first place. People are just dumb enough to fall into it's curse.

I could probably name off about five used-to-be or currently overrated smartphone games. Flappy Bird is going to be like Angry Birds; people will play it now, but eventually, it'll be forgotten.

For me, it was a wise decision to not install and play Flappy Bird and the reason is this. Instead of it being fun for players, it makes them rage with frustration and anger. Some players even destroyed their phones after playing the game. I'm not kidding.

 

I think it's not worth playing Flappy Bird. Especially when the creator faced a lawsuit with Nintendo and took the app off the store because of his reasons.

It's such a simple game, but all its elements work well, its design, its sound, its gameplay, its difficulty, etc, it is not original, it just takes elements of other games and make them work, is a good game (for the standards of that kind of games), and that's the reason it can be addictive for some people, so i don't think it's overrated, making a simple game like that work is not easy, and nobody is saying that Flappy Bird is better than a console game.

There's a game theory videos describing how gaming media is all Dependant on Pewdipie, and compares him to other things. It showed a graph of the downloads a day for flappy bird. The graph was flat, then a spike on the 14 january. Pewdipies video came out that day.

Just because you play Flappy Bird doesn't mean you can't play Flappy Bird, that game can be entertaining when you can't use your console because you're not in your house, for example
