Any toddler/child injuries that you do or don't remember?

I wanted to ask if anyone related to some childhood injuries. I'm searching for head scars because that is something I have. When I was 2 years old, before my mom divorced my father. I dove head first into a glass coffee table because I was jumping on the couch. The scar is on the top of my left eye brow. I don't remember having that injury, my mom told me about it. I do remember being around 7 and I was riding my bike down a big hill at the time(small at my age today) and I tumbled down the hill and hit my head. I was unconscious for several hours and was eating a green ice pop lol.

When I was little I remember spraining my ankle misstepping on the stairs at my grandma's house, and closing a suitcase on my fingers that hurt them extremely at my cousins'... I know both these things happened before I was 10, but I fail to recall the exact order of the events. :P

Don't remember hitting my head on anything... I mean, surely we all hit our heads on something when we're younger, but some get it worse than others unfortunately.

I was riding a rocking horse as a baby, and I hit my face on its neck. My tooth went through my lower lip. The scar isn't terribly noticeable, but it's certainly there.

I have a scar beside my right eye as the result of having a tug-of-war with another child using a garden hose. The other little brat thought it would be funny to let it go and the metal end hit me there.

I was also dropped on my head as a small child. Sort of. My father was carrying me on his shoulders down the stairs and he fell. I landed on my chin and required five stitches.

I think I was about 8 years old.

I was playing with my older brother on the swing set at my childhood home and I was on the swing and I flipped and landed on my left elbow and I broke my arm and dislocated my shoulder. My brother ran in the house saying,"I didn't do it!" lol

Of course, it wasn't easy to learn to write from my righthand (I'm a lefty).

When I was twelve, a bottle rocket blew up on my right hand because I was foolish enough to try and make it look like I was shooting sparks out of my hand, it left a-.....woah I'll stop there, it's too graphic to explain even in words.

Well when i was 3 or 4 i banged my head on a pue in church and my head bled. And at 5 or 6 i shut my finger in a door and also bled. Then at 7 I skated on slush crashed into a girl and was in pain. I remember those times very well. And my sister when she was young was stupid enough to roller skate indoors. She was pretending to be Sonic the Hedgehog and she banged her head on the toilet seat and got a permanent scar.

I think bad spirits gave me my injuries, because when i was small i use to live in an old house. Later in life, my dad told me that the house was haunted. When we moved there, there was blood on the walls. And every time he went near that house, he'd always get a bad feeling. Sad, depressed, angry feelings. I use to have no scars before when i was young. And i generally dont remember ANYTHING about getting hurt or having stitches at all in life. But for some reason, I have SO many scars on my head, I think around 7 or 8... Never knew why.

I remember falling on an anvil I think, something similar at least at a young age. Results was a scar on my forehead, right a above my right eyebrow. I used to play around saying I was similar to Harry Potter, the scar is still there but not that visible.

I have a lovely little white patch of hair from where I was walloped over the head with a broom handle when I was three. (Thanks, cousin.) He damaged the follicles so now it grows through without pigment.

I also have a tiny bald scar on my scalp, right in the middle toward the front. It's covered by hair, so you can't see it. That happened when I fell off the back of a slide, headfirst into rocks. I was four. That one needed stitches. Fun times. =D

When I was a toddler there was a bumblebee that kept flying around me one summer on the back porch and I wanted it to get it away from so it wouldn't sting me-so I tried to scare it off by shooting at it with a water pistol.

And it stung me on my right foot.

Not my brightest moment...

My spine is crooked due to a mishap involving stairs  and I have a 3 inch scar on my head from a entire shelf falling on me. Apparently when I got up I proceeded to clean my wound and inform my neighbors of my injury...I was smarter when I was 4.

Ah, yes I was two years old and I fell down the stairs leading down the TV family room. -violence occurs- I then ended up having a massive scar near my eyebrow and I still have it but its slowly disappearing. Also, from that incident my dad had to carpet the stairs to avoid any more injury.

I stepped on a nail once when I was 9. That's probably the most painful thing I've experienced. D:

I have a scar on my right arm about two inches in length. I don't remember exactly how I got it, but I think I was learning to ride a bike when I was around 5 or 6...

More importantly, I remember trying to show off a few years later that I could ride my bike really fast. I went out of control and smashed into my neighbor's mailbox and my face was all bloody. I remember crying in the car on the way to the doctor's office. The next thing I remember was being 100% okay. No blood at all. My memory gets a little fuzzy when it involves the process of getting better.

I believe I jumped off the crib or something when I was 2 (I don't think I still slept there), and broke an arm. I've only broken a wrist several years later. I'm very cautious.

My parents told me that when I was two years old, I actually had a hole in my left cheek when a PEN got jabbed through it. I have sero recollection of that incident and quite frankly, I don't want to remember it anyway.

When I was five years old, I had tripped and knocked a tooth out. It wasn't even a baby tooth, it was a fully-grown tooth! And I swear I remember a little chunk of my gum come out aswell. So yeah, there was blood EVERYWHERE.

Then, when I was six years old, my older sister elbowed me in the chest HARD, winding me. All the air had gone out of my lungs and I was finding it impossible to breath. It felt like my entire chest was going up in flames :(. I'm not sure if it counts as an injury though, but I'll put it here anyway.

  • 1 year later...

When I was 9, I was riding on my Barbie scooter down my street. I must've went too fast, because my scooter flipped over and I feel flat on my face. My nose scraped against the concrete and several layers of skin came off. Now whenever I go outside for more than 30 minutes, my nose turns a bright red because of the accident.
