Did Inspiration Manifestation Remind Anyone Of Lil Miss Rarity?

Cause that's the kinda vibe I got from the whole episode. It seemed a little darker than what the show usually does.  Plus there's this comparison:

No not really, but Inspiration Manifestation did have a LOTR feel to it. what with the book being the Ring and Rarity being Gollum/Smeagol.

Not really, but it's probably because I forgot about Lil' Miss Rarity over time.

Not really. LMR is much more dark (and much more badass than Book!Rarity), and even though I think this episode was a bit dark for the overall theme of MLP, LMR's darkness makes Book!Rarity look like a ray of sunshine

I don't even though what's Lil Miss Rarity, but judging its cover I assume that it's a violent/horror fic? I'll pass.

 

To be honest the plot reminded me of that one movie in the 80s.

Not really. This episode reminded me of Lord of the Rings, Rarity as Gollum and the ring as the book.
