As well as Legos and "The Hunger Games".

It was only a matter of time. I still think Twilight should cameo She'd be Lisa' favorite thing, ever: a pony who's into books.

If it involved Homer, its probably going to be really stupid.

Feel free to add me on steam if you want to play something. Also don't be afraid to message and talk to me. I've had bad luck when I start a conversation, so I more then likely won't start one.

Oh yeah why have I never made that connection of Lisa wanting a pony and Twilight being like Lisa. It's so obvious. Also where did it say in there that they were gonna spoof mlp?

SPOILER NOTES on the episode, per the author:

The visuals are kicky fun, literally taking apart the Springfield universe (and inhabitants) and putting it (them) back together again. It's a fresh look and feel that's almost cinematic.

The gags, too, get new life with Lego angles. (No, no, I can't, I won't spoil the really pun-ny jokes.) And so does the sentiment. The dirty little secret of "The Simpsons" isn't its wide-ranging humor but its supersized heart. Sure, episode barbs target "My Little Pony" and "The Survival Games." But emotions score just as smartly, arising as they do from our human core. Homer really loves his new perfect world—until he learns he's missing "real-life" pleasures as well as pains.

But if you watch only for the Sparkle Unicorn tea party, that's OK, too.

Seems like it's mainly a parody of The Lego Movie with The Hunger Games and My Little Pony being smaller parody targets. Either way, could be good. I haven't watched The Simpsons lately, but I might give this episode a shot, if only because of the huge style change.

I honestly could care less about the Simpsons. It's been going on for far too long if you ask me, and is like Southpark now with all of it's spoof episodes. I am really not surprised that they're doing even a small part of it spoofing on MLP, wish they didn't but it's whatever I guess.

I haven't been following this recent season of the Simpsons much (most of the episodes have been really dull) but I'll watch this one. I loved the LEGO Movie and I wonder how the Simpsons will spin it.

I love the Simpsons, but the Simpsons died a long, long time ago.  It's just a sad disgrace now.  This has nothing to do with MLP, it's just a fact.  The show has been going on way too long and stopped being funny at least a dozen seasons ago.  They should have gracefully stepped out the spotlight at the right time like Seinfeld or Futurama.

Bleh.

Bob's Burgers was painful to watch when they did it...and they aren't a droned-out shell of something that used to be great.

I can only imagine the cheap laughs they're going to attempt to squeeze out of the viewers utiLizing my 2 favorite things (the ones that aren't Hunger Games),just like the cheap laughs ANYTHING tries to achieve when they reference pop culture.

Its going to be awful, i called it.

The Simpsons was my favorite show for a very long time, but the new seasons suck now, it's not funny and original anymore.

I'll watch the episode, but I don't have high hopes. -_-

It used to be that the Simpsons did everything first. South Park even made an episode about that. It's sad to see how the mighty have fallen so low. The Simpsons used to be great. They never spoofed what was popular, except in sporadic places during episodes. They NEVER completely dedicated an episode to this sort of thing. Long gone are the days of Frank "Grimey" Grimes and the like. The Simpsons is a pathetic shell of what it used to be, more like Family Guy than anything else. I don't know if it's because that's what the demographic today likes and the writers are desperately trying to remain relevant, or because they don't know what to do anymore now that the show has been on longer than most of their target demographic has even been alive, or a combination of both. All I know is that if they had ended this show ten or fifteen years ago, it would still be regarded today as one of the funniest and most socially influential animated shows in history. Instead, they spend 20 episodes a year eroding their own reputation. The Simpsons has been a lousy, unwatchable show for more seasons now than it was a great show, and that is just sad. We have been witness for almost a decade to the decline, fall, and life-support-aided vegetative state of a piece of American culture.

If every form of media went the Watterson route, the world of entertainment would be a much better place.

Considering that The Simpsons handled Michael Jackson's death in such a heartwarming, mature way, I'm pretty sure that they will put MLP:FiM in a positive light. This isn't Family Guy we're talking about after all.

I hope we aren't seeing a growing number of "brony spoofs" in major network tv shows. Things like that just scream desperation from the writing staff. It seems that rather than come up with some new, and fresh ideas they'll just spoof the newest show with the biggest fanbase in a hope for views.
