As we all know, Pinkie Pie is one of the wackiest, fun loving, reality defying, absent minded, and (seemingly depending on the writer ) arguably brilliant character in the series.

Plus there are some very odd things that Pinkie has done:

1. Her fourth wall breaking powers.

2. He bouncing off the wall, either brilliance or simple hyper activeness.

3. Pinkie Sense

4. In EQG both her pony form and human form, knew about precisely what was going on in both worlds but called it " a hunch".

5. When needed she is able to figure quite a good deal out.

6. Her moods can go downhill, sometimes depressed and in one instance angry (Part of One ).

7. She looks nothing like the rest of her family.

My Conclusion: Pinkie Pie is actually adopted, the Doctor Whooves character is a Red Herring, and Pinkie Pie is more importantly

Also both pony and human Pinkie are the same being but either different regenerations or at different points in their timeline.
