Another 13 episode season ain't gonna happen again, as someone in this thread before said Season 3 was only 13 episodes long because that was the amount of episodes needed to get into syndication. The hiatus won't be that bad either, it's a standard wait time in between seasons. I mean look at us in the Doctor Who fandom, The last Doctor Who episode we saw was during Christmas and we won't see another episode until late summer. That's a good, what? 8 months? If we in the Doctor Who fandom can wait that long so can you. And I doubt Equestria Girls 2: Rainbow Rocks and the Equestria Girls TV Show will have an effect on the number of episodes either. We're going to get another 26 Episode season, just you watch. Plus Equestria Girls has a good number of fans (I'm one of those fans) so for those us who like it the new movie and television show is a bonus and we have the IDW comics! I'm good with this. If you don't like them, just ignore them, they won't have an effect on the show. I know it's hard to believe but some of us LIKE Equestria Girls. So much potential for panic from that comment... I don't get why people think that Season 5 2015 is too long of a wait. I would not have cared if Season 4 aired this year instead of last November. I'm always more concerned with quality of the episodes and the season rather than the wait. Hmm, interesting how the gaps have widened between seasons. Also note that Littlest Pet Shop premiered around the same time as Season 3. Could that have explained the 7-month gap? However, with another EqG movie (as well as plans for an EqG TV series) in the works, it's entirely possible that enough resources could be pulled away from FiM's production team to cause se05 to be cut short. Unless, of course, they're expanding their staff, dividing their force into an EqG-focused crew and a FiM-focused crew. But then again they have been listening to the brony fans and been doing pretty good responding to our shout outs and recommendations some what, they brought back derpy! But 7months of waiting...? AWWW, I was hoping it'd be late 2014, not 2015!!! I'll go mad! If I were into rising money for such kind of thing, I'd not waste money for EqG, but I'd rather focus on buying back the MLP franchise from Hasbro and freeing the ponies to make it safe for fans to make derivative works based on MLP without worrying about C&D letters (the idea I once proposed here). MLP is the main reason Hasbro is making money so I'd imagine they want to churn out as many episodes as possible.
