Yes, clefairy and clefable make perfect sense. Some do. Its the ones like azumarill, mawile (this one barely makes sense, but not by much at all), and grandbull that don't and mildly irritate me. GRANDBULL OF ALL POKEMON. ITS A BOXING DOG FOR GUTHIX'S. HOW DOES THAT EVEN RELATE TO A FAIRY? I don't even.

I'm not really a huge fan of Pokemon... but this does sound cool.

Eh.  I'll wait 'till some actual screenshots get uploaded, then think about possiblly considering toying with the notion of maybe possibly getting it.

Snubbull and Granbull have always been fairies. The pokedex has classified them as such since their inception in Gen 2

I actually agree with Aged Rain. If they actually did have a fairy type when the game started, they probably would have been fairy types anyway.

I mean; we all wanted it, but I didn't think they'd actually be doing it...

But they are! Awesome!

That said though, if you've already played Ruby/Sapphire then this remake is rather unneccesary from a Pokémon collection standpoint... still though, the whole Hoenn region will no doubt be fully redone in 3D, and hopefully these games will bring heavy improvements to X/Y's graphical engine, like being fully supportive of the stereoscopic 3D without frame-dropping. Going to need to see some new Mega stones as well(though I assume that Latios/Latias are the only ones left that could be supported by X/Y and these games), and I fully expect the Battle Frontier to be there, hopefully with X/Y's improvements to the approach to battle facilities, along with move tutors of course.

I'm really excited to see more of this though, can't wait.

I remember getting Ruby when I was about 9 years old and thinking "OH MY GOD, NEXT-GEN IS AMAZING X3". The only way, the only way my day could be made any more perfect by the announcement of remakes now would be if Nintendo really did stop beating-about-the-bush and just announced a Majora's Mask 3D,  but then the fan-gasms would probably kill me XD
 
But I digress, totally getting Omega Ruby for the nostalgia on release day, Team frekaing Magma ftw!

Its species is Fairy. In the same way that Rhydon is the Drill Pokemon. They've always been fairies. If you couldn't, and still can't see them as fairies, then I can only suggest that your perception needs re-calibration. I didn't mention anything about egg groups.

Well, R/S/E were my least favorite Pokemon games, but I'm thinking that what made them so disappointing compared to G/S/C as well as further generations won't be such a big deal this time around. as they might actually fix it.

 When was there any creating matter? As for flying types who are unable to fly, if you mean Dodrio and Doduo, it's mostly because of the fact that in the original development of Pokemon, the flying type was the bird type. This is known via a glitch

Yes, but those NEEDED remade, BADLY. There was no trade compatability from Gen 2 to 3, so everything in 1 and 2 stayed in 1 and 2. Hence why Gen 1 and 2 got remakes.

I'm so excited for these! I've been waiting so long. Ruby and Sapphire made great strides when they were first released, and hopefully their remakes do the same thing. Implementing new ideas and things to do.
