I always had a thing for characters with psychokinesis! Silver, Ermac, etc.

Ermac is definitely in my top favorites.

 

Interestingly his name actually means "error macro" If memory serves correct, this word pops up in a debug screen in the mortal kombat game (arcade version I think) and I think it said something like "Ermac not found" or whatever. Players thought this was referencing a hidden character by mistake and sent questions about it to the creators, who decided to make Ermac an actual character.

 

Thus Ermac was born from a misunderstanding of a line of code.

 

Apart from him my fav's are Scorpion, Noob Saibot (Tobias Boon backwards if you didn't know) and Shiva.

I've always had a soft spot for Baraka x Mileena.  He's the battle hardened Tarkatan general whose efforts are taken for granted.  She's the diabolical, sociopath spawn of a homunculi experiment gone wrong.  It's meant to be.
