Corey Powell (the newest writer at the time) started off splendidly in the factually fantastic Sleepless in Ponyville, developing Scootaloo’s character as well as Scootaloo’s relationship with Rainbow Dash, and it was her turn again in Just for Sidekicks. The idea of Spike petsitting the Mane Six’s pets was great and better with the the Cutie Mark Crusaders' randomness. Unfortunately, JfS contains one of the biggest flaws in the series: the incapability to characterize Spike consistently as a ma
As season three dwindled down, John de Lancie returned to voice Discord in Keep Calm and Flutter On. Fluttershy is the central character and pony responsible for “reforming” Discord from a chaotic, dastardly villain into a chaotically neutral character/mild antagonist. Conceptualized by Teddy Antonio and written by Dave Polsky, the path to Discord’s “redemption” made sense in some way, and there were plenty of clues leading towards it, all the meanwhile being contained via a very cramped pace.

Season 4, Episode 5
WOW. This. Freaking. Episode. Not only is it the best Season 4 episode so far, and the best CMC episode, but it's also one of the best episodes of the entire show. There was so much emotion, amazing character development, and simple and pure epicness packed in 22 minutes of candy-colored ponies. Now, I'll stop gushing over this episode, and instead will tell you WHY I love it so much. Since I have much to say, I will

The Cutie Mark Chronicles (April 15th 2011, 22 minutes)
Summary: How I got my cutie-mark, by the Mane 6.
Right off the bat. Zip-lining has been around forever, but that's relatively recent name for it. Early references to a sliding line go back to the 1700's as one of the stunts tightrope walkers, steeplejacks, and the like performed. The version shown here is a cobbled-together one out of climbing equipment instead of a dedicated zip-lines (which would use pulle
Hello! I am Patterson Rio Tacitus.
As the title suggests, I will be putting two similar songs from each series up against each other, and by vote, you will choose which song is better.
Why Phineas and Ferb songs? I chose this series to pit against FiM. because I feel that their songs are quite similar. Not in style necessarily, more because both series create many original songs for the episodes that are usually exceptionally good quality, for an animated series. (I do not wish this to

but for clarifications sake: Scootaloo and Dashie are on the same ornament. Vinyl Scratch and Pinkie Pie are on the same ornament. Rarity and Sweetie Bell are on the same ornament. and Twilight and Spike are on the same ornament. (couldn't get a good shot of twilight)
This song's in my head for some reason.
I'm not sure why I'm still awake. I don't know why this song shows up out of nowhere. I figure since I'm here and all I might as well start rambling.
I'm not sure why I made this blog separate from my other blog. I have no idea what I was thinking when I made two separate blogs. I guess my nighttime thoughts are different than my daytime thoughts? No idea.
That being said, Let's discuss the song, since I am effectively brain-dead and cann
Holy new personas, ponies! You’re the Power Ponies! – Spike / Humdrum
Spike takes the centre stage in this episode. Late at night, he is reading a comic book instead of sleeping. Twilight tells him they need to get a good night's sleep, because the Mane Six and Spike are restoring the Castle of The Royal Pony Sisters in the morning. Of course, she relents a bit after he excitedly describes the plot - the heroic Power Ponies are facing their arch-nemesis, Maneiac, but their bumbling sidekick
~Introduction~
So, the notion of destiny is one that I have always found interesting, due to the fact that my motto “Everything happens for a reason” pretty much reflects this idea- the idea that all things a part of a predetermined causal chain which is leading to something greater than any one of us. I first realised that this tied to MLP after watching Digibrony’s discussion of free will. Digibrony’s videos sparked some ideas in my head. And I also decided to watch Bionicle on a whim one
Ahhh, Power Ponies. The hype was strong for this one. Was it worth it? Personally, I don't think so. In fact, in my opinion, this episode was, well, not good. But it seems like everypony else liked it. Why not me? Well, there's a few reasons. For starters, we will discuss the humour, because that was pretty much the purpose of this episode. It was a fun romp, just like Castle Mane-ia. Or at least it was supposed to be.
This episode was not very funny in my opinion. The laughs I emitted were
Christianity has identified itself for the longest time as a religion based around goodness and holiness.
Aside from it being the catalyst for plenty of massacres, wars, bigotry and horrible politicians, it's been alright. By "alright" I mean it's been corrupt and downright evil. Jesus wasn't much of a Christian, either. Considering he supported the poor and renounced worldly power, Jesus probably would make a better Satanist than a Christian.
Let's assume the guy didn't exist, and the New
Happy Holidays, everybody. I hope you all have big plans this year, for whatever you celebrate. I sure do. But, I'm looking forward to reviewing Sonic Lost World on the final Saturday of 2013. The game is said to be a sequel to today's game, Sonic Colors. So, I thought "Hey, what better way to get ready for that review than to do the game it's based off of?" So, without further delay, here is my review for Sonic Colors on the Nintendo Wii.
I'll be completely honest, last weekend was the firs

A Bird in the Hoof (April 8th 2011, 22 minutes)
Summary: Fluttershy cannot help herself, she must nurse Celestia's pet back to health, no matter what!
That's an interesting couch in the background there. It has a very post-modern look, with the bowl shape. It's probably a standard given the quadrapedal lounging style that ponies likely have with the legs curled up under them.
The white rabbit is late, for a very important date. *sigh*

Behold... God's Country
Good evening everypony (at least evening to those of us in the Western Hemisphere)! Not much of a blog for ya'll tonight, but I just wanted to give you all a quick explanation as to why I will be absent for the next couple of days. Shocking as it may sound, I, the Batbrony, one of the biggest superhero-obsessed members of the forums, will be missing the premiere of "Power Ponies" tomorrow *cue the inevitable forum-wide gasp*. Now, in most instances I would co
Christmas has become a very popular holiday all across the world. However, it's not the only holiday that occurs around the time of the Winter Solstice.
For far too long, Christians have had this country by the balls. Non-Christians or Christian mystics, like myself, have been excluded from the holiday season in order to make sure everyone remembers that Jesus Christ was born.
Well, Jesus was a nice demigod and all but he's not the only entity that deserves praise. Mithra, the Roman god of t
You know, most people recommend against what I've been doing recently when it comes to looking at other people. However, this is something that has bothered me for quite some time. I've been looking at the creative things that people have made here, such as artwork, stories, music, roleplay plots, etc. Really, anything that you could classify as "art," I've been having the urge to look at it. All the while, I've been asking myself this fundamental question:
Why haven't I improved my ability
So I'm relatively new here, I haven't gone out of my way to make giant strides in the "community" if you can even call it that. However, I'm honestly pretty damn disgusted by it. I know it's not all of you, and perhaps it's just me but most of my interactions with the more established members have really made me question even coming here. Maybe my age difference to the majority of the fandom also plays a role. Hell I don't know, I'm no expert in psychology. Here's what I mostly see here: A bunch
