I'm sorry to hear you're leaving. But if you don't feel participating in the fandom makes you happy anymore, it's probably the right choice. I hope you continue to find enjoyment in your new interests!

I’m sorry to hear this. I know that we rarely spoke (if at all) but it will be sad losing a familiar face around here. I agree that the fandom does not feel the same as it onc did. When I joined back in April of this year, it was a lot more people here and felt very active. Now places like the Lounge is a ghost town and the games aren’t played as much. 

If being in the fandom no longer gives you any joy, then you should leave and find something that makes you happy. Being a part of something you enjoy should never feel like a chore or a job. I hope that you are able to find that same spark in something out there that brought you here.

I didn't get to know you much since I too joined very late ( just a couple months ago). I can understand your decision as I know interests change. Hope you find joy out there and drop a visit sometime.  

imo the thing most people who are dissapointed in the fandom haven't realised is that the fandom isn't a being, you are part of it, and if you want to see it move to a certain direction, you have but do so yourself, that's what i try to do at least, and obviously everyone has their own opinions on what this direction should be, but waiting for something(anything not just this fandom) to change on its own is one of the reasons it doesn't. anyway. excuse my rant there, if it feels a chore then of course no one expects you to keep doing it, there's just no point to it, i'm glad that you'll remember it fondly, that's all we can ask of you at this point, to try and remember the good times you had here,
maybe we'll hear from you again, and maybe not, but for now, goodbye and best of luck in whatever hobby you'll end up pursuing

There is no shame in doing so, there is no shame in leaving a fandom like this. It's your choice, and I support you in leaving the fandom. We may not talk much, though I'll try to talk to you over discord. This fandom is dieing, people are leaving, it's only a matter of time before it really declines.

The show is dead to me, I don't care about ponies anymore, I might do the same, eventually but I won't just throw away my success here.

I'll tell you one thing, leaving the fandom doesn't mean you'll have to leave us. I mean, I don't watch ponies anymore, but friends on this site keep me from leaving. Thing is, whether you're a brony or not, you're still wecome here.

oh man ... well, it's not a news that I'm very happy because you're one of the few people with whom I interact in this forum, even though I understand your decision, I do not follow the current MLP series ... I usually use pony art for lucrative purposes, the food plate does not just come to the table it alone. even so I want you to know that you have been a good friend and I will add you to the Discord that I recently created ...I still do not know how to use the application, so if I have not added it, that's why.... Sounds like your interest in the show was tied to your interest in the fandom. ... Or is it a reminder of the painful experiences?

I myself have learned the hard lesson that the MLP fandom is a mixed bag like more or less any other fandom, with all the usual flaws, and while that in itself is just a setting for good real-life MLP episodes to happen, few people seem interested in being a part of one. Looking up to something and loving it so much that one lives it are two profoundly different things.

Especially regarding the 'horse-famous', you often got young people, immature minds, accessing more influence than they can handle, playing with borrowed power, maybe believing it's the real thing. Many different motivations. Some devils, some saints, and everything in-between. Life presents the same basic challenges regardless of where you are, about overcoming fear and coming into love. The show teaches everything, yet not many are devoted to the lessons.

Where there are ponies, there are phonies.

I run my own show fandom, in my heart, where nothing but my own foalishness could corrupt it.

As for you Gloam, I will say I will miss seeing that original avatar of yours.

It's always sad to see member on the forums leave us, though if it's your final decision, I shouldn't and won't try to change your mind. I respect your choice. But either way, I've always considered you a friend, you're one of the first friends I made here, dare I say the first friend here. Even though I haven't been active as I could have been here lately, I still think you're a friend of mine. You've been funny and kind during your stay on the forums, and it will be different without you here anymore, but... we'll manage something, you can move on confident and hopefully live the best life you can out there. If you feel restrained here, that's definitely a bad sign, I would say you made the right call. If I ever want to contact you, I'll know where to find you. Thank you for being my friend, I wish you the best for your journey this moment forth, and may we met again one day. Goodbye, for now, my friend.
