  1. It TOTALLY is. I mean...goddamn that game is just heartbreak after heartbreak, plus the whole rhythm combat system is fantastic.
  2. My first ever videogame was Ducktales on the NES. I never looked back since. Videogames have been pretty much the central focus of my life to a literal extent. It was because of videogames that I was able to finally focus, inhibit/destroy my ADHD which was severe as a child, and also allow my mind to open up to slow down and take time to learn things. I'm gonna be honest when I say that if it wasn't for videogames back when I was a kid, I would be a drooling mess in the corner. ----------- As for consoles I have....weeellll. NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Master System, N64, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Playstation. Least that's all the ones I still have going back to old days. I'm on my third NES right now which still has the usual glitches of any NES but is reliable. I did however keep my original NES even if it no longer works, as a relic of my past. Master System I think is pretty much not working now, or I can't find the right cables. My Mega Drive works superbly, my SNES does too with a little adapter added to it, but the cartridges are so old that they can't hold save files anymore. Sega Saturn works like a pro I think. Nintendo 64 is like an old excitable man, it loves to play but after five hours it gets too hot and tired to run and starts to freeze. Game Boys are all fine, though my original Game Boy's screen no longer works. Playstation...not sure actually, I think it does but the processor might be on its last legs. And finally the Dreamcast. All it needs is a little nudging of power connectors to stop it resetting all the time, and it's golden for the day.
  3. The only one I really admire that I know the work of is Feld0. Speaks three languages, built this entire site, has a fantastic sense of composition within fictional realms (he knows what I mean), and all at an age shamefully younger than me. Shamefully to me that is.
  4. Hold on, people DON'T watch American Idol for the bad auditions? ...wow, mindblowing to me.
  5. Lots of people seem to enjoy that show, and it's big in the UK of course. I know little of it but if you enjoy dramas or want a classier sort of soap opera, do have a look at it, I hear many good things of it.
  6. My favourite cartoon is one not listed on there. The Animals of Farthing Wood. Anyone here from the UK or Germany should know of this show ;D Cracked.com put the show rather succinctly in a recent article. That show was the single most influential show in my life. It taught me EVERYTHING about humanity within three seasons and three years. Life, death, love, hatred, war, peace, tolerance, greed, courage, piety, and alcohol. All of that. REMEMBER THE OATH!
  7. Achievement Unlocked Pumpkin-Colour Coordinator!
  8. WOW...that is...messed up. So glad you survived though dude. /) (Was it bad that I very briefly thought you had been infused with diesel in your blood, thereby allowing you to become a motorcycle-man?)
  9. But do you fight like one? ---------- Once, when I was a kid, I kicked a security-strength window in SO HARD that it cracked. It cost the school £600 to replace it. To be fair, it had been worn down over the years by balls being kicked against it repeatedly, so I probably gave the final blow.
  10. 8| Oddly enough I don't MIND spiders at all, but I HATE jumping ones. I absolutely FREAK at seeing any small creature able to jump at the height of my face from spiders to headcrabs.
  11. Aaaaah right, wow that's amazing! OH, another sad moment from a game...well someone will expect to hear it so I'm going to put it out of the way right now. The ending of Mother 3. Yes it is just as sad as you expect it to be.
  12. HHHAHAHAHA XD oh you~ Is Dexdrive a good emulator? I'd actually love a PSX emulator that can run on Windows 7 and is reasonably easy and stable, can you recommend me one?
  13. Oh my god I know who you mean D:That is one of my favourite games of all time, god that was such a painful ending. A lot of people talk about that BIG legendary part of FFVII Right, that part. But there's ANOTHER moment from the game, that a lot of people forget about, which is surprising considering it's THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST OF THE DAMN GAME. Seriously. Nobody remembers this that I know of, and yet it's one of the most heartbreaking pieces of the game.
  14. I believe it is, at the very least on a subconscious level which America should try to shake off in future, no problems about 100 people being beaten to death with the jawbone of an ass but oh god no Song of Solomon plz. You can pretty much tell the state of a nation's mentality, any nation really, from its media. Actually I'd love to see a study on something like that, would be fascinating.
  15. That's pretty much how it is here yes, we have a watershed where adult content can be shown, only after 9pm. The BBC were first to implicate that and it's carried on since then as a standard. Newspapers operate on a different lay entirely, tabloids being just gutter trash. However, the recent Leveson Inquiry might change all that, hopefully for the better. I do however note that American TV has more puritanical values that place harsher restrictions on sex than violence. I never understood that priority that sex is somehow a worse thing than violence, as if yanno violence can be a more socially acceptable thing than sex in ANY FORM. While Britain does retain a rather stiff-upper-lipness about sex, we do get influences from Europe who are the opposite way around, emphasising harsher restrictions on violence rather than sex. It even extends to videogames. The videogame Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy when released in Europe contained sex scenes (not even good ones but more explicit than Mass Effect at least), whereas in the USA, the scenes were removed. It just blows my mind that even in this day and age there's a weird stingyness from American media about TITS OH GOD. I dunno, I just feel that's some messed up priorities. Everything in moderaton yeah, I'm not asking for tits in the daytime, just be less weird about it.
  16. FILLIES AND GENTLECOLTS YOU ALL NOW HAVE A NEW FAVOURITE COMMERCIAL
  17. Well in keeping with my gaming style, I'm gonna blow your goddamn minds with DUBSTEP FROM A VIDEOGAME. It's the final boss theme from Dead Rising 2: Off the Record and DAMN is it a bitchin' final boss theme! (Contains Spoilers from Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, so just be warned)

  20. I once got the first three original Fallout games (1, 2 and Tactics) for £10. And the PS1 port of FFVI for only £6. That was a glorious week.
