  1. Oh snap, good point, she IS a bit of a manipulative witchy-chicky isn't she? XD Weeeeeellllll my vote's stuck now isn't it?
  2. After Suskel's pretty neat thread of "Which pony can live up to another element of harmony best?", I thought up an interesting question that I wanted to ask you all. Which Element of Harmony would Spike, Twilight Sparkle's number one assistant, most fit? I'm not going to answer juuuust yet, I wanna see what everyone else thinks first and give a fair-looking poll to start with. This is not about if Spike became one of the ponies, no no. This is purely about which Element specifically would fit him best.
  3. Alright, that's actually a pretty good question! Lemme think. Rarity would do Kindness easily since it comes hand in hand with her Generosity. It also explains why her and Fluttershy are very close friends since their elements compliment each other greatly. Pinkie Pie I see as being the most Honest because she is the least likely to lie for any vindictive reasons. Even then she's a terrible liar and cracks easily under pressure from such. Even if she's legendary for her secrets and promises, that is still a facet of honesty since honesty is not just about being true. It is also about GAINING trust from others. Fluttershy can easily do Generosity because again, it comes hand in hand with Kindness usually. We've already seen her try to help others out, as well as nursing animals back to health. Applejack already contains some facets of Loyalty. She's already deeply loyal to her friends, INCREDIBLY loyal to her family despite her misguided venture in The Last Roundup since it was all for their sakes, and also, Loyalty retains a similar facet with Honesty in that they are both about gaining the trust of others. Laughter goes to Rainbow Dash easily, as both a fellow prankster with Pinkie Pie, but also because Laughter seems to be more about boosting the morale of your friends. The Element of Laughter seems to be about keeping others happy, and as such, that means keeping their spirits up i.e their morale. Rainbow Dash does this to some extent even if not always through laughter (and even a few of her pranks are a LITTLE bit mean). That said, she has the potential for it, if it was her element. And finally for magic...Pinkie Pie. Because, seriously, she is a goddamn reality warper. ...huh, I feel kinda bad that I can't imagine Twilight as being anything BUT the element of Magic. Probably because she represents the best thing of all, the very faith and belief that comes with Magic. And just like with Magic, if you believe in your friends, and have faith in them, then everything will turn out alright. Usually.
  4. Honestly, I love both of them, absolutely so <3 I was really worried about them bringing babies into a show, but once I saw how ADORABLE they were, and how like babies they acted but not in the annoying way, they won my heart. Much as I love both of them...Pumpkin wins out because of the way she went all "Mmmwaaaaam 8O" for Pinkie's broom handle. Which is awesome and exactly what babies do XD
  5. So...lust is directly linked to a near-sociopathic sense of superiority over others, and exerting your power over others by using their bodies for your own personal gain? ...yeah okay lust isn't me then, at all XD thanks for that!
  6. I keep thinking it was lust, but everyone tells me it's wrath. So I'm going by popular consensus because while I am lustful, I can control it a LOT better than my wrath. I can't help it that so many things in this world irritate me to ungodly ends.
  7. I'm still having nightmares about ghosts ever since I played Fatal Frame when I was 16. I'm 25 now. I still sleep with the light on ._. Uh as for better dreams, I remember a pretty messed-up awesome one where I had a gunfight with Lee Harvey Oswald in my back garden. And it's raining meteors that explode into dozens of pencils flying everywhere like shrapnel. And the boss theme of Time Crisis was playing. ...I may have had a butler or not alongside me.
  8. Seriously, I feel bad for forgetting it, but what do you expect when the only reason I a European can play it is through illegal means? I even OWN a cartridge of Earthbound but because my transfer pak was made before it, it's region-locked and I can't play it. So, sorry Nintendo, but I have to ROM hack your games to appreciate them and not mention them in top favourites
  9. I dunno what my FAVOURITE is...but I do love Metroid very verrrrry much <3 then Mario, then Zelda, then Pokemon in that order. ESPECIALLY big fan of the Mario RPG games. I used to really be into Animal Crossing buuuut not as much nowadays.
  10. Yanno I always did wonder what happened to the chat. And as much as I enjoyed the immediate interaction with all of you guys, I think this was the best choice. Chat cannot be supervised 24/7, and as a result, it'd be a wild card of indecency and spam. At least a forum is much easier to moderate because you can just BOOP-delete and regulate anything unsavoury. Two letter why I normally hate chat rooms. i c
  11. It's okay, I seen Scott Pilgrim, you guys just travel through warp pipes instead
  12. Hmmmm magic-based? Well, he DOES have a compass star for a cutie mark and he had that rose, maybe some sort of magic aligned with magnetics and roses for extra doucheness?Vinyl Scratch definitely needs some music-based thing, but capoeira is the closest I can imagine since it's all dancing-style fighting. I'm sure she could pull out some sort of vinyl-record-based slash-attack stuff like some Mortal Kombat character or other X
  13. Well being that Daring Do is essentially an Indiana Jones expy, I see her as a straight-up brawler, no-holds-barred fighting or even boxing if you prefer. Maybe Applejack is more of a wrestler due to having her lasso to do throwholds with, though considering she LOVES to kick, kickboxing is perfect for her. Prince Blueblood I don't see having a physical fighting style, but rather an actual weapon style. A good choice would be fencing because it's just the sort of fancy bull that he would go for (and quite frankly would have quite the good body for). Shining Armor I can see as having the traditional Germanic sword-fighting, particularly involving the bastard sword class. Though as for martial arts involving without weapons, I'm a li'l out of ideas.
  14. : O It IS?! *Stands up for the national anthem* EVERYONE, STAND UP AND SALUTE! BFFs with Scotland 4 eva <3
  15. Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness for me. I was VERY. VERY disappointed by that game. It was an absolute chore, they made these endlessly-repetitive hub areas which have to load between them without ANY warning at all so god help you if you have no idea where to go, and you won't. The combat was stupid, and the controls were AWFUL. THEY SWAPPED THE JUMP AND ROLL BUTTONS. I LITERALLY ROLLED OFF A LEDGE. MANY TIMES. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT, AND WHY WOULD YOU NOT GIVE ME AN OPTION TO CHANGE IT YOU STUPID PEOPLE?! UGH
  16. On my side, which I always tussle at least three times before fully sleeping. On two soft pillows at medium height. Always in pyjamas. I get sweaty and uncomfortable if I sleep naked <<;
  17. On a side note, I actually DO voices when I read books. Even the women. The same applies to RPGs before they had voice acting in them.
  18. You're hearing God. Congratulations, you are now the next Joan of Arc.
  19. So you are saying that the haters created their own source of hatred? ...very Nietzcshean, I like it! I approve of this, this has my FG stamp of approval good sir/madam!
  20. In the name of the Sun and the Moon and the Twilight Sparkle Amare. I DO remember the 4chan Pony Wars, could that REALLY have been how it got popular? Certainly was a big part of it, I forgot about that.
  21. Best pony, or best pony, amirite? But nah seriously I do wonder why you all think about this show is so popular in our generation. Feel free to go into socio-psychological details even, I just wanna see what people think.
  22. For a long time now, I've always wondered one thing about the MLP fandom. I've been with this since the early starts, I watched the first episodes around the time Bridle Gossip was airing, I was there at the beginning as it were or close enough. And yet, despite loving most facets of the fandom ranging from creativity to generosity to an overall ambivalent humility that rarely exists in most other fandoms...I have to wonder. How DID this fandom come to be? I'm not talking about why the show is so popular, I'm talking about WHY we are all here? What is it about this one particular show about cartoon ponies learning about friendship that managed to unite so many of us together? Why are we such a huge fandom? What did this show give us that made us all unite together so swiftly within the span of like two years? I just really have to wonder about this and well...I wondered what you all thought about this very question, if any of you ever did. ============ So, TL;DR, why do YOU think this show is so popular with our generation?

  24. I'm British, we spell it with the Queen's English with our C's and U's :3
  25. My mum was confused at first but didn't mind. My sister used to be a fan of the original G1 so she was surprised that I been keeping her informed on how G4 goes, even buying her daughter the Applejack playset for her birthday. My dad joked about it at first but I don't think he minds at all. Hell he even got me a G1 blind bag SOMEHOW...so now I have a little model of Firefly XD
