  1. I've also wondered, why have there been no preview clips for the past four episodes?
  2. Not sure where this whole "Nightmare Moon returns" thing came from (she did "return" in S4 as a flashback), but the "Princess Luna nightmare" thing was no leak; it was an announcement at last year's SDCC. As for the "Nightmare Star" card, I don't know if that's a screenshot from the upcoming episode or a piece of fan art, because the TCG has used fan art for some of its cards before (though those other fan art examples may have already been made public before getting used on the cards). I also know Nightmare Star was deliberately teased on Twitter as some kind of spoiler, and the cards have had many spoilers before. Let's just hope this particular spoiler isn't something that could be misinterpreted; people thought Cheese Sandwich would be showing up in "Party Pooped" because his card mentioned Yakyakistan.
  3. Ah, the go-to explanation whenever anything goes wrong with this show. Let's see how the second half goes.
  4. I wouldn't want an overdose of episodes. Even if S6 did start this year, it'd be hard to get excited without a wait. Besides, this week's episode looks to be a reasonably epic story.
  5. I'd actually say the Hearth's Warming episode may air before Christmas (which would be December 19 at the latest), just like how all the other holiday-themed episodes aired before their respective holidays. And I'm willing to bet that Episode 15, Scare-Master, is a Halloween episode, which just might air on October 31 if there are are a few breaks thrown in before Episode 21. At this rate, we can probably expect the season to begin in mid-October, if not October 10, the five-year anniversary of MLP:FiM.
  6. Well, it says the second half of season 5 "later this year". And I doubt they'd use it to describe a few weeks, either.
  7. Upon recounting, I'd say the break would be closer to three months at the longest, not two. But it's funny how I predicted not too long ago that there would be a mid-season break after episode 13 that would also last no longer than three months... How's it holding up for you, anyway?
  8. If we get a new S5 episode every week from now on, that would end the season on October 10, the five-year anniversary of MLP:FiM (looking at the TV schedule, there's actually going to be a week off after this week's episode, though assuming the two-part finale will be on the same day, it'd still be October 10). That'd bring the wait to anywhere between one week or two months, give or take a few more weeks. Either that, or S6 is actually the remaining 13 episodes that were originally produced for S5, bringing the broadcast season count ahead of the production season count. Of course, if that were the case, I'd assume something would have been announced...
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if it would last that long. But still, there hasn't been any official announcement of episode 13 being a mid-season finale, either. Who knows, maybe a new episode will be announced as soon as I finish typing this. I'm looking forward to knowing what the rest of the season will be about, too. But it doesn't hurt to exercise patience. EDIT: Well, here's a new counter-argument to the three-month break: apparently season 6 will air later this year, and assuming we'll have one new S5 episode every week barring next week (which would end S5 on October 10, the fifth-year anniversary of MLP:FiM), the only way for that to happen is if we get anywhere between a single week and three months without another episode. That is unless some if not all the following episodes will be done in a back-to-back format, with at least two new episodes per week...or if the remaining 13 episodes that were produced for S5 will actually carry over into this season, making our first broadcast season separate from the production season count. How about that? It turns out it's just the second half of season 5 after all, and it'll be coming "later this year". I doubt Hasbro would say that to describe a few weeks, either.
  10. That's what I've been saying. It's possible there will be an announcement or a change in schedule, but how can we be so certain there won't be a break when we know absolutely nothing about the season after episode 13? The only thing we know for certain is that there will be at least one week to wait between episodes 13 and 14. But if you're asking me, we should brace ourselves for that one week lasting for up to three months. Child's play compared to the 11-month wait between seasons 4 and 5, if I do say so.
  11. Just read any Discovery Family Channel TV listing online, or if you can do it on your TV, do that. Here, look: http://www.locatetv.com/listings/discovery-kids#18-Jul-2015
  12. There's scheduled to be a rerun of the first four episodes of season 5 on July 18. That's all I know.
  13. I've looked at the TV listings, and after Episode 13 airs this weekend, there will be no new episode next week.
  14. Or, you know, the Cutie Mark Crusaders. And I have a very interesting idea on what it will be about: what if Diamond Tiara and/or Silver Spoon loses her cutie mark and turns to the CMC to get it back?
  15. The middle of the season is within our sights. What can be seen beyond that? Myself, I see a potential yet unconfirmed Nightmare Night episode (Episode 15, Scare-Master) airing in July unless it gets pushed back three months to October, which would put the Hearth's Warming Eve episode (more than likely Episode 21, Hearthbreakers) neatly in December if we account a week or two off. (For titles and episode numbers, I'm going by the leaked list that has been confirmed real ever since before Episode 100's title was revealed.)
  16. I'm not just hoping it'll be Big Mac. I'm also hoping for Shining Armor as well. This whole "BBBFF" thing could use some fleshing out, something it should've had for the past three seasons. Also, I once read a fanfic about Twilight and Applejack arguing over who has the better big brother by forcing their brothers into a competition. Odds of something like this happening in the show are slim, but not impossible.
  17. Yes, but assuming we have a new episode every week from now on, we'd be getting a Chris... er, Hearth's Warming Eve episode in September. But every holiday themed episode has aired close to their real-life counterpart: Luna Eclipsed (Nightmare Night): October 22 (9 days before Halloween) Hearth's Warming Eve: December 17 (8 days before Christmas) Hearts and Hooves Day: February 11 (3 days before Valentine's Day) According to the leaked episode list, Episode 21 will be titled Hearthbreakers, which seems like a pretty damn likely candidate for our Hearth's Warming episode. The closest Saturday to Christmas this year will be December 19. Meanwhile, Episode 15 will be called Scare-Master, which I'm going out on a limb to say it will be a Nightmare Night episode. Now, let's suppose Episode 21 will air on December 19 at the latest. If we were to have an episode every week leading up to it, that would put Episode 15 on November 7. But we all know that each season has breaks and rearrangements in from production to broadcast order. All it would take is a single week break in this time frame to bump Episode 15 to an October 31 release, just in time for Halloween. But you know something else? This year, October 10--the fifth-year anniversary of MLP:FIM--will be on a Saturday. If Episode 15 is going to make its presumed Halloween date, then I predict that a 3-month hiatus will begin after either Episode 12 or 13. (If it's the former, then Episode 15 will probably air on October 24). I can't say this with any shred of certainty...but we'd better brace ourselves for a mini pony drought. And considering Episode 13 (Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?) is supposedly going to be the long-awaited "Princess Luna has a nightmare" episode, I pray it won't begin before that.
  18. Afraid not. I know G.M. Berrow is confirmed to have written a Pinkie Pie episode, but it's also been confirmed that this week's episode is written by another newcomer, Nick Confalone (who is also confirmed to be writing another Pinkie episode about her whole family). We'll have to wait a little longer for the Berrow episode.
  19. Since the scene has been effectively disproven to be from "Princess Spike", I would very much like to see where this goes. "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?" is almost certainly the episode with Princess Luna's nightmare. I want to think that "Brotherhooves Social" will involve Twilight and Shining Armor in some manner. I really want the show to explore their sibling relationship. I also have a thought on "Crusaders of the Lost Mark": someone loses their cutie mark and the Cutie Mark Crusaders have to help them get it back. Maybe Diamond Tiara...? "Hearthbreakers" is undoubtedly the Hearth's Warming Eve episode featuring the Pie family. Seeing how the comics didn't give Discord a backstory, it's safe to bet that this means the show will be exploring it. "What About Discord?" could be a good place...
  20. This list was leaked sometime in April, around the time the season began. The title of episode 100 and the two episodes before and after were confirmed in May. It's safe to say this list isn't far off the mark at all.
  21. Well, I wound up enjoying the episode more than I expected. I wasn't looking forward to it not because it was a Spike episode, but because it was an "abuse of power" episode, and they usually tend to bore me. But I think the episode's pacing made up for it so I didn't mind the cliches that are normally associated with it. I guess this also means Twilight's little reunion will be part of another episode after all.
  22. So, no preview clips tonight, huh? They usually release something a day or two before the episode airs. It's a shame, I want to see something to get me pumped for tomorrow. I've already made the mistake of presuming I won't enjoy the episode based on what we know of the plot, because I already have a firm idea on how it will all play out, save one element I'm not wholly sure will be in the episode, but if it is, then it may just get my interest..
  23. As awesome as this would have been, I'm surprised by how absolutely perfect I still think the episode was. It's like, any more and it would've felt overstuffed for me. So I honestly don't mind seeing any of this cut. Then again, I suppose that explains what the crew meant at that S5 teaser panel when they said Coco would be returning. But I still have the feeling that maybe they're saving her for another episode.
  24. For about as long as I've known what the 100th episode of MLP would be about, I knew that it was made specifically for the bronies who helped make the background characters their own. I also knew that the show's actual target audience probably wouldn't be nearly as involved as them, so I'd imagine that having an episode suddenly switch focus would be pretty weird. The same goes for the casual adult fans who've gone nowhere near Derpy and the like. However, I've read accounts of kids laughing their heads off and loving every minute of the episode. So I'm curious, if you're a casual viewer who saw this episode, or if you've watched it with them or read other accounts, what did you/they think about it?
