  1. His existence was mentioned by the creators at SDCC in July. There was also what I believe to be a huge hint for the plot of "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows". I'd like to think there will be a Twilight/Fluttershy map episode. Pinkie and Rainbow Dash had theirs, and Applejack and Rarity's will be next week.
  2. It had a limited run in the U.S. They were always meant to be straight-to-video movies, but as it was kindly pointed out, Hasbro couldn't resist going the extra mile.
  3. I had the craziest thought just now. We were all so certain that "Brotherhooves Social" would feature Fluttershy's brother, but it turns out to be a Big Mac episode. Not only that, but the plot probably wouldn't feature Fluttershy's brother in a prominent role. But then I realized: one of the upcoming episodes is called "Scare Master"... And Fluttershy is known as the "Stare Master"... So what if Fluttershy's brother will feature in that? Not only that, but the previews suggest a Nightmare Night episode, and this year's Halloween is on a Saturday. So we'd not only be getting an episode with Fluttershy's brother, but on Halloween! ...Right after a Christmas episode. In October. But still, how cool would that be?
  4. On the bright side, everyone will be able to watch it on TV next Saturday.
  5. I've come across a new screenshot on a Toon Zone article that could probably be considered a spoiler. And here's a slightly older image posted on MLP's Facebook. It's likely promotional art and not a screenshot, but the very concept of it could also be a spoiler:
  6. I'm going to guess that the moral of tomorrow's episode is that hard evidence will fall short without intuition. No matter how guilty Rainbow Dash will appear, Rarity's faith in her will give her the insight to look further than what the evidence suggests.
  7. I totally would've gone to the special New York theatrical screening of Friendship Games, but I had to go to work. For anyone lucky enough to see it, all I really want to know beforehand is the voice cast for the Shadowbolts (apart from Twilight, obviously).
  8. I'm pretty sure they'll live. Negative energy only makes their magic more powerful, and with it their sway over others.
  9. He's the co-director of season 5. If a character written for an episode were named a certain way, I think he'd know.
  10. Doing okay. Pretty sure it won't be the disastrous, show-killing end people are saying it is.
  11. Word has it the original poster of the synopses admitted they were made up. What I want to know is where the source of that claim is.
  12. Well, I'm now hearing that the original poster of the leaked plots has admitted it's fake after it was brought to Jim Miller's attention. Can we get a link or a screengrab of that?
  13. But wasn't that leaked song about the singer feeling she has changed for the better? And someone who's a bitch definitely has room to change for the better. Who's to say she doesn't start out as a bitch and has some kind of run-in with Applejack first, or Applejack is familiar with how bitchy she can be, and then she undergoes a big change and sings this song for the climax?
  14. I know as much about that as you do. All we know is that it came from an employee/intern who leaked the entire episode title list in April and probably got fired for it.
  15. Tell me about it. Even the "Journal of the Two Sisters" book was more about Luna's adventures than Celestia's. Apparently the writers think Celestia is too "perfect" to be easily written into a lead role. With Luna there's her struggle to get out of her sister's shadow, and for Discord there's his struggle to balance his want for mischief with his want for friends. But Celestia has maintained such a strong image of a wise mentor that it's hard to imagine her playing anything but a supporting role in her own episode. I see your point, and I know how dangerous it is to show too many people being able to change their ways. On the other hand, it's not out of the realm of possibility considering Suri only became a bitch to survive in the big city. The synopsis says Fluttershy is embarrassed by her brother, so at least she'd have an excuse to never talk about him. On top of that, how would they explain Sunset becoming a princess if she ran away before Celestia took Twilight in as her student? Maybe they confused her with Starlight Glimmer.
  16. Yes, but still, you have to wonder...
  17. That list was released in April. We only knew, like, the first 6 titles for the season at the time. I have little doubt that the others are real.
  18. It seems there has been another leak from Season 5 on 4chan, and this time it's plot synopses and other tidbits for every episode from the season's second half based on the episode list that was leaked earlier this April (except for the episode "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows"): Word has it that the same anonymous user who released the episode list (which we can safely assume is genuine at this point) also released this information, but I haven't found this direct claim, let alone any confirmation that the claim was ever made. What makes this list suspicious, however, is that it was released a day after the MLP panel at 2015 SDCC, so it's possible this is simply speculation based on what's already known. It also seems to conflict with previously known information from last year's SDCC and PonyCon AU among other places, but it only raises the question: is that previous info accurate, or have we misinterpreted some of it? For example... Only time will tell on whether or not we should believe this list. Until then, get your salt grains handy and feel free to discuss what you think of these potential details for MLP's future, if you dare.
  19. I have a new theory on why there's a mid-season break: it's precisely because of the dip in viewership. Some shows take mid-season breaks to boost demand; by taking a break for three months, demand for the show will rise, and more demand means more views. Discovery Family is likely trying to save the show by keeping it from us, at least this time. I just hope this means they'll get their asses together and give us a solid run for the second half.
  20. I've read up on reasons why mid-season finales exist. One reason is to keep shows from wasting their budget, so the animation and resources won't run thin (you may have noticed some S4 episodes have tried conserving animation through methods like the "scariest cave in Equestria"). Another reason there's a mid-season break is because viewership has been taking a dip. By taking an even longer break, it'll boost demand. More demand, more viewers. Add the aforementioned budget conservation, and there's a slimmer chance of disappointment. In a way, it's almost brilliant...
  21. Or it may just be because they haven't gotten the finished animation back. These animatics are from the end of the season, after all, and the animation is only getting more and more elaborate with each passing season.
  22. Well, it could be worse: we could be waiting another 11 months for episode 14. Looking at the leaked episode list, it should begin in the fall, mid-October at the earliest. And with a fall premiere, maybe Discovery will get their asses in check and have S6 start in the fall as well.
  23. Well, tomorrow's the day of the SDCC panel. New secrets for the rest of the season should be revealed, plus EG3. Let's hope we get some good stuff coming up, because most of the promised awesomeness has taken up the first half.
