I just about reached my point of tolerance for this game's BS. I bothered to check back up on my Ponyville and Canterlot..........overrun by literally about 30 or so changelings or...whatever. All I know is that there are so many of them the game is littered with at least 8 of them no matter where I swipe to look on the land. On top of this I swear I'm getting less and less of the needed shards each time I do it. So...I've just about burned out of excitement for the game and I sent a complaint to GameLoft. I know it will probably do NOTHING but does anyone else feel like ever since the "Parasprites only appear when you get gems to combat them" update that it only made them appear EVEN MORE? Because it can't be just me. I just can't play it anymore. Augh.

Almost feel like I'm in the same boat if only for the part of the not being that physically attractive. I'm just sorta blended in with the others, though I sense a feeling of community anyways as I previously said.

I don't know if he's 'big name' or anything but a brony named Saberspark on Youtube often puts out reaction videos to this sort of thing. He did one for Twilicorn and Equestria Girls.

My thoughts on the matter is that this is what people usually kneejerk into every. single. time. a season. ends. It's always the same BS over and over again up until a new season arrives because then there's fresh content and new things to talk about. When there's nothing happening the fandom just festers and then you get a -lot- of people getting extremely complacent. Me? I'm actually happy I'm a part of ANY franchise that's actually growing as I'm a part of it: I've never taken part in anything that has seasons or a movie that's being made that I eagerly wait for, so this is is a first.

It's not a show, it's a single movie that exists outside of the usual canon that the 4th Season of MLP:FiM is continuing. I know I'll be watching both.

MLP was never made for you, neither is Equestria Girls. It was ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS a cash grab: do not convince yourself it was anything else but a successful part of history where Gen4 was the objective best one to make Habro money. However it IS only a convenience that you came onto the show and as a result, liked it/loved it. Having said that, I don't think you 'lost' the love for it, you may have just merely hit burnout. If you went through Season 3 and suddenly everything isn't doing it for you...don't you think the understandable thing is that you've burned yourself out a bit? Take a break from ponies for awhile and come back to it. You need to go back and understand from yourself too WHY you got into the show. Did you become a fan because there were others into it? Then you're not a real fan. Was it because of the writing behind the characters or story and MAYBE the fact that others were into it helped your decision? Then you're a real fan and this slump of downtime before Season 4 shouldn't be damaging to you at all. If you truly care about the series and it pains you then 'leaving' it won't help you at all. Just take a break.

Of course not. They may threaten because of stupidly disliking something and will circle jerk over how much they don't like something but honestly if you can drop something you love on a whim that you disapprove of ONE SINGLE THING then you weren't really ever a big part of us to begin with and only thought you were. To top it off, people do this -all the time- and the fandom we have here is ridiculously quick to judge on everything which is a shame, really. I don't think this'll do a dent to our fandom at all.

Otherwise this question would just turn into 'what do you like?' What attracted you to MLP and brony culture? To answer about MLP: it was the writing. It took me a LOT to be bothered to give MLP a try as so many young adults had also done the same with it but the writing by the 9th episode in Season 1 had won me over. This was CLEARLY not the girly girly pink things cotton candy rainbows' stuff that I remember seeing commercials for in the early 90s. It literally felt (and does still) like a "Cartoon Network" animation merely with the My Little Pony brand name put on it. That fact alone blew my mind and made me appreciate it more. To answer about the Brony culture: Well it was a natural evolution of my being a fan, wasn't it? I'm glad I'm here and I don't think I know a single better fandom anywhere else. Do you consider MLP-related activities to be your primary hobby? Only when it comes to new episodes and new events coming out...for example MLP: Equestria Girls. Other than this I am mostly playing my video games, watching anime or movies, working, or hanging out with friends and being equally geeky with them. MLP is really only big when one of two things happen...1) a new episode comes out so I must share it with ALL OF MY BRONY FRIENDS (including my cousin) or 2) I find a lot of artwork.... ..oh and 3) I go to a convention. What percentage of your leisure activities would you estimate are related to MLP? Ehh....twenty perce-*shot* Okay for serious, probably 30%. It's one of my favorite things at the moment and I don't see it going away. What portion of your friends also consider themselves bronies? Quite a number of them. I'm not making a BS percentage for this though. If you have non-brony friends, are you ‘out’ as a brony to them? If so, has this affected your relationship with them in any way? No not really. Do you feel that bronies as a group are put upon or stigmatized on the internet? (Or society as a whole?) Yes but it's only because PEOPLE KEEP PERPETUATING THE IMAGE OVER AND OVER that there's something vastly 'wrong with us' or whatever. Which really needs to stop. You could find a lot worse in other, older fandoms.

Well reading this made me feel better even though this wasn't even directed at me. Girls where I'm at are so vain and fake NOT to mention my own personal experience with...well stuff...that I have all but given up bothering. But it makes me feel like I have a slim chance with at least ONE person like you existing and throwing a monkey wrench in society's cogs.

I will be posting a written impressions article once I see the movie so you can expect it to show up here as long as we get threads going for it. It would of course have to be labeled as SPOILER TALK though if people are going to go into great detail. So for those of you interested in reading up about those seeing the movie: more detail the better?

I start talking to them personally to find out what it is they dislike. 99% of the time I actually succeed in making a decent conversation with them and I've changed their perspective on the whole of us. ...and here's some other tips and a well made video from Saberspark which is on-topic.

Same exact thing with me here, but trying to find girls that are into MLP here where I'm at is....a bit rough. The girls I know now are either: 1) Across the world and have kids of their own or 2) Underage so I'm pretty bummed about my chances but oh well. Perhaps someday.

Come on. The idea literally sells itself. If not a full fledged game, at THE VERY LEAST adding Rainbow Dash as a DLC character. I'd pay mountains of cash for it. That's just.....I mean have you PLAYED that game??? It'd be way WAY too much for me to handle. I just..I couldn't do it man. You couldn't pay me enough to see that happening to other ponies.

I would make a quip right about here how this is all Discord's doing...but he's reformed now, so he wouldn't want this sort of thing. I'm against (even if it is freedom of speech) the vastness of hatred that EG is getting for obvious reasons stated here multiple times but ALSO ON THE GROUNDS that I don't want any part of MLP to go away due to it, so I'm going to trust the staff. I learned by the time Twilight became an alicorn that any further worrying should be put to rest because frankly, to be fretting over things like this and hating vehemently to the point of near obsession being 27 years old that I am....yeah I can't find it in me to care -that- much that I would go on a quest to shove some selfish destructive opinion like that. I just refuse it entirely. So whenever I just dislike something, I stay quiet or go 'meh' and that's roughly it. ...I think it helps that when the last Season 3 episode came around I actually said to myself "Y'know now that I think of it I can't recall a SINGLE EPISODE that I hated" and pretty much solved my own inner conflict right there.

You know originally this post had a LOT MORE TO SAY ON IT other than these pictures but I felt in the end it wasn't worth it: if Righteous is going to hate on it and then jump on other people for defending it so be it. But I think these 3 pics do a pretty good job of further summarizing why being pricks to others that are trying to keep conversations going as to WHY they are looking forward to EG is a moot point.

What the hell happened? You got into this show in the FIRST place because you decided not to let initial thoughts get to you and give it a try. I won't back down from defending those parts of MLP but so long as the haters back the hell off for ONE DAY. For a fandom that was brought together because of a really positive-feely show, we're teetering off a bit again now to the negative side too much.
