I don't think a background pony episode would work. There are a lot of background ponies, and it would be hard to fit so many mini adventures into one episode. It'd be even more rushed than Magical Mystery Cure. Let's say the episode is dedicated toward Lyra, Bon Bon, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, Dr. Whooves, and Derpy. Each character would get roughly 3 minutes of screen time. We also don't really know how these ponies act in the canon, since their personalities have been sculpted by us: the fans. It's only enough time to let us know a few details about them. The episode would be inevitably convoluted. As much as I love some of the background ponies, I think they should stay background ponies when it comes to the canon. The fans can play around with the background ponies as much as they want though. I'd say they've made the background ponies a lovable bunch.

Oh dang, such a toughie. I absolutely love all three of these songs. They work their way into the two-parter so perfectly too. We've got a song that sets up the plot and the characters, the villain's song, and the happy ending song. They're all awesome, but I gotta go with This Day Aria. It's a really well made song, and really captures Queen Chrysalis' intentions in song form. The haunting vibe of the song really made the execution of A Canterlot Wedding's unexpected dark side excellent. The contrast between Cadance and Chrysalis was also excellent.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I'm finding these reactions to be REALLY mixed. I was on IMDB's website earlier today, and noticed that most of the ratings are extremely high or extremely low. Same thing goes for the reviews. I'm still probably gonna check the movie out because I'm pretty curious. The good reviews are making me more optimistic than I previously was, but to be honest I've still got pretty low expectations. I think the thing I'm looking most forward to is the music. Daniel Ingram has always done a great job with the MLP songs

Yeah, it would be nice to see Twilight's friends rescue Twilight in season 4. A common complaint about Twilight these days is that she's too overpowered, or that she's eating up all the spotlight time. Also, one of the reasons why people seem to dislike Equestria Girls is that it's really Twilight centric, and renders the other members of the Mane 6 as background characters. (I haven't seen the movie, but that's just what I've heard.) Unfortunately, all signs point toward a Twilight centric season 4. She's just recently become a princess, and I'm sure season 4 will spend a lot of time focusing on her. It's also likely that Twilight will be the one to save the day again. Still, I'm hoping we'll get to see a lot of the other members of the Mane 6. I like your idea about Twilight getting kidnapped by an antagonist who wants her for her princess status. I can imagine Twilight's friends feeling lost at first, but remembering all the lessons they've learned together, and finding a way to rescue her.
