  1. *gross sobbing* Your art is so amahzing I don't want to bother you but could you draw Petite Leaf? The purple one here: She's a dryad so her body is the texture of wood and her hair is made of leaves, if she's too much hassle, the guy beside her (Plume) is just as good, anything really I just love your work D:>
  2. My dad told me I was muttering something about blood and golf balls once in my sleep. Good title for a book about a golf related scandal though, really. "Blood and Golf Balls" Coming to shelves in a store near you The story of Vinnie the 9 Iron and his stranglehold on the undeground world of illegal golf tournament betting Oh god, I've done that. You wake up half way through a laugh. I had a dream where I was laughing really hard, like rolling on the floor laughing, and was out of breath when I woke up.
  3. So I've got four pages done of a fanfic I plan to do about the ancestors of some of the canon characters (specifically Twilight and the Princesses) The basic idea was inspired by the song Look Closer by Clockwork Quartet and the story of William Herschel's drive for discovering other planets. An astronomer (Twilight's Great Grandad) is driving himself insane trying to disprove the existence of the royal alicorns in a time where they were worshipped by practically everyone. I was considering making it the other way around, but I dunno, I felt like this might be more interesting, if it comes off a bit anti-atheist that really wasn't my intention. So anyway, this is the time before the job of raising the sun and moon were given over to Celestia and Luna, so there were a huge family of alicorns that split up the jobs of bringing on night and day. The Princess in charge of making the stars twinkle sees the astronomer is going nuts and decides to save his sanity by presenting herself to him and gifting him with a set of lenses powerful enough to see other planets and even the realm she and her family lived in. I haven't quite figured out any progression for it, but eventually the astronomer does something for the Princesses and his family is favored for generations, right down to Twilight herself which is why she is so close to Celestia Since I want this to be set in a victorian-esque society, it might contradict something about the history of Equestria, but I just figured it was a time in which everyone believed in the Princesses, but they rarely made themselves known. If it clashes too much, I suppose I'll just have to alternate universe this bitch up. That's basically it though, I would really appreciate a tip or two on what I could change, what I could do. Have a peek for listening to my rambling and/or giving me any ideas to spruce it up
  4. Oh hey, this should be interesting, I've been looking for some fanfics to read, I'm not all too familiar with MLP fanfics so this could help me-
  5. I like the expression, but either her forehead is gigantic or her bangs are slowly levitating off her head, no doubt they've been called back to the mothership for another mission. And like Silverwisp said, the ears are really disproportionate to the head. 5/10
  6. Nah, I'm ok with negative comments, I actually prefer a few critics here and there rather than nothing but people that go out of their way to be nice. ...Probably some form of psychosis behind that innate sense of panic I get when too many people are nice to me but I'll just let that particular tumor bubble for a while.
  7. Sweet baby jaysus a bastion of rude in this desert of kindness. Please be my senpai and shield from all the...nice *^*
  8. I joined not to long ago to get my art out there a bit more, and after perusing the site, I see that this community is super nice. Like...really nice. I don't know how to deal with niceness Not at this level at least. I rarely see a single negative post on any topic, and you're all just so...nice. Makes me itchy, like I just joined a cult and they've brought out the punch bowl. It's not even bad I just don't how to handle it. Guess that sort of suggests I'm not a very nice person if it makes me so uncomfortable. Anyway, I do arts and stuff, sometimes writing but I haven't tried anything pony related in the way of literature, I was hoping to open up commissions sometime in the near future but I figured I should swing by here for a second. Just ah...don't be nice. Scares me.
  9. Yes, there are in fact tons of good fanfiction writers out there. Mystery solved. Case closed. Bring in the dancing lobsters.
  10. Eh, I tend to gravitate to male characters when starting out, but they're usually a trial run. When I want to make a bad ass character (or in some cases where the game has a morality system and I want to be evil) I pick a girl. ... Not that I think my own gender is evil >.> I just play through as a guy the first time, when I would usually choose to be good, and the second time around I use a girl when I would be playing through as evil. I don't believe it has anything to do with mine or anyone else's gender identity, it's more just playing from every angle. Someone could probably read into that but really I'm very happy with my vagina
  11. And another~ An entry thing for a Draw to Adopt on DA, the blue haired one is the one I'm trying for and I MUST WIN BECAUSE THIS COUPLE MUST BE A THING
  12. I sort of hid it in the beginning, but now practically everyone in my family knows about it. They buy me merchandise, I show them the ponysonas I do of them, my mom is even considering making MLP plushies of my characters Suffice it to say, it wasn't something I really needed to hide in the first place, the only people whose opinion I care about are fine with it. Then again, I am a girl, if I was a boy I like to think they would be okay with it too, but I know my Dad's reaction would be different.
  13. Depends, can't properly make a name without knowing her talent, her cutie mark, backstory, or anything really. Going solely off a design can make it difficult to suggest a good name.
  14. Yeah the lines are super wobbly, if you use MSPaint you can use the line and curved line tool to make it look cleaner. But if you want a good program, I suggest Paint.NET, it's easier to edit something you've already done, you can use layers, effects, lots of tools to play around with, etc etc
  15. I like the Star Wars one but I love love love the Pirates of the Caribbean one. Your style is really interesting, can't wait to see more! >W>

    movies/tv Fakest shows?

Have to agree about truTV, my stepdad watches it all the time and it couldn't be more fake. Like the time on one of the pawn shows when a man comes in with a duffel bag in which a man wearing nothing but a banana hammock has been stuffed into. They didn't call the cops or try to help the guy, he just ran off. Plus, my uncle visited one of those the televised pawn shops, they shoo tons of people out before they start filming and everyone that comes in has to be cleared. Which means no items come through they don't know about while the cameras are rolling. I don't think that one is fake, so much as they use a lot of sneaky ass editing tricks. Like they emphasize something a person says with an audio clue, like a small bell or a little background music, then cut to someone looking shocked. That person may not have been reacting that way, but they edit it to make it seem like they have a rivalry now. Or when they go into the 'confession booth' thing where they recap what happened, the crew might poke them a little in the right direction to the get the reaction they want out of them by either rubbing something in that will make them cry or convince them it was screwed up.
  17. Seems like a pretty lame villain, and honestly -and it looks like it may only be me with this opinion- I find her design more than a little of an eyesore.
  18. Holy crap these are all AMAAAAAAZINNNG I think my favorite might be Fallout (cause he reminds me a lot of Pyro from TF2) but Nurse Ironcross is a close second. The rest all get a tie for third I legitimately love everyone of these
  19. I was gonna post a picture of the Fluttershy paperchild I did but I can't find her I still have Dashie but ITS NOT THE SAAAAME Anyway, have a big ol' art defecation of some recent stuff I've done that I've liked. Mostly to introduce myself formally to the forum. Speaking of; Ahem. Hallo. I am the Robber Baron. I do arts. These are those arts.
  20. There are a number of fanfics that try to cash in on the popularity of the more gorey fics like Cupcakes or Rainbow Factory, a lot end up failing hilariously. I would avoid those in the horror genre if anything But that may be just me finding it kind of funny to think about it the actual MLP universe. Although honestly I don't care for a lot of MLP fanfiction
  21. I've yet to see Pulp Fiction, but I've wanted to for awhile. It's on Netflix so I guess I'll just have to sit down and have a viewing sometime. The rest I've seen, well except for Avatar, I dunno I'm just not a huge SciFi fan and the story doesn't seem like something that could hold my attention enough. I'll just watch Dances with Wolves and change the hue on my TV so everyone is blue Let's see, I freak out if people haven't seen IT or the Shining or really any Stephen King movie adaptation. I also demand people see Step Brothers at least once.
  22. My Bamboo Touch is starting to crap out, like I have to restart my computer at least once a day because the driver has a meltdown, and I was looking at the Bamboo Create since it's a lot cheaper than like a Cintiq or Intuos. I'm just breaking down and saving for the Intuos, but how is the pen pressure on the create? Also nice work, sketchy and like kenniks said the shading is far more subtle than needed, but still a good start.
  23. And they went the route of Ol Yeller.
  24. I second this motion wholeheartedly, do it do it now. Then of course we have to do Bender Bending Rodriguez or Hermes Conrad.
