  1. I don't really like when sitcoms do that, but I enjoy some continuity in my anime. I normally don't really care about adverts on TV, but I occasionally wish they could at least get different ones, since it gets a bit boring watching the same handsome man try to sell me dish soap every five minutes. Other than that, I don't really hate anything about it. Maybe it's because I usually only turn on my TV for something to stare at while I write show notes.
  2. I finally decide to start listening to the Beastie Boys again, and MCA up and dies. Dang.

  3. Quit my job. Does it count as quitting if I quit as I'm being fired?

Sorry man, that sucks :/... it should still count though...

You quit as they were firing you? That don't count in my eyes man...

  4. Just find a character with a broken hitbox. Like Meta Knight.
  5. Penumbra did a good job of making use of its game mechanics to build a scary atmosphere. Having to use your mouse to swing stuff like that made combat terrifying. I don't know if the Gameboy camera counts as a game, but the 'Run' screen gave me a good scare as a child. Look it up, youngsters. Since when is Bioshock scary? It's basically baby's first System Shock 2.
  6. I'm not often disappointed by things, especially since Duke Nukem Forever taught me never to get excited about anything ever.
  7. For those unfamiliar with the lingo, a 'Jobber' is a term in professional wrestling used to describe someone who doesn't just lose, but always loses, usually in a quite fantastic fashion. Games are chock full of these characters. A perfect example would be Glass Joe from Punch Out, or the Slimes from Dragon Warrior. I figured it might be interesting to see if anyone else could come up with some.
  8. I now have even less reason to buy Kid Icarus: Uprising. Yay me!

Like the overall idea of the game is pretty good... but the controls are just absolutely horrible. I miss the days when you could play Nintendo games just by pressing buttons.

  9. I think I'm also gonna go with Faust and Eliza. If it's strictly within tv series, at least. Otherwise I choose Tom Hanks and Wilson.
  10. There have been some pretty rad final bosses in video games over the years. I can think of a few. There's GLaDOS, Kefka, Malus, Meatenstein, and lots more that I can't think of. So what are your favorites? A quick use of the forum's search function revealed no threads of this sort in the past, but if there is one you can feel free to laugh at me and call me embarrassing names.
  11. Akira Yamaoka can hit banjo strings with a hammer and make some pretty scary stuff. I think the track that scared me the most as a child was the Creepy Castle music in DK64. There's also the River Twygz theme from Super Paper Mario.
  12. Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop.
  13. Ah, Spawn. I used to love the older comics, but I have a serious problem with the way Todd McFarlane draws people. There are muscles on top of muscles in places where there should not be muscles.
  14. I like the toys, and the '89 movie was awesome.
  15. I've recently been playing a lot of older Point And Click games, like Sam & Max Hit the Road and Dreamweb. They're much better than I remember them being.
  16. Guys, I'm pretty sure this means the year 2012 is never going to end.
  17. Beginning's a little slow, but it picks up. EDIT: That was the wrong link, but I'll use it anyways.
  18. First name means "Loved" in some Scandinavian language. Middle name is "Son of Anders", and Anders is apparently Danish for "Warrior" Last name is "Son of Rolf", Rolf being "Wolf". Note: I used Google for all of this, so feel free to call me out on any gross inaccuracies.
  19. I've only ever 100%ed a few games. I think they were Zelda: Twilight Princess (The gamecube version, mind), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Batman Arkham City, and Fantasy World Dizzy. Props to anyone who knows what that last game even is.
  20. I must say, although this movie looks stupid, I'm going to watch the hell out of it. At the very least, it'll be to see if I can make fun of it.
  21. Let's see, I think I have my list around here somewhere. Ah, there it is. I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum. My guess is every fight with a horse-spider-thing. I may be incorrect, however.
  22. From what I can gather, it looks more like a Steampunk first-person Hitman, what with the strongholds and optional extra-stealthy bonuses.
  23. Solid Snake. I must have messed something up along the way, because I ended up with a good one.
  24. Best one I can come up with.
  25. All of my favorite box art has a terrible American counterpart. Examples include: ICO (Not America): ICO (America): Future Wars (Pleasant): Future Wars (Unpleasant): Out of This World (Looks nice, don't it?): Out of This World (MY EYES):
