    I made a thread about the 90s, and the 80s... the-90s-nostalgia-thread the-80s-nostalgia-thread So I figured "why not make a nostalgia thread based the first decade of this millennium?" So lets do that, lets talk about the decade that most of you guys were either children in and/or were teenagers in. Talk about TV, movies, music, trends, all that stuff. Animation was rather notable, in that the american cartoon industry boom of the 90s continued into the 00s and then declined as the decade went on. Same with anime, there was a big anime boom in the early 2000s that busted by the end of the decade. This was the decade of invader Zim and Haruhi. Classics.

    Not including the current season, I can't rank that one yet because its still ongoing. I would rank them in order of... 4,2,1, then 3 Season 3 gets last place because its only half a season, and Magical Mystery Cure is pure awful.

    For me, its that Celestia can tell the future and so losses on purpose. Sorry guys, she flat out lost to Chrysalis, Tirek, and some vines. She is a powerful pony, not an all-powerful pony.

    Remember Daria? I think I need to watch this show, I saw some of it in the 90s, but again, I was a kid then and this was for teenagers/young adults, so not for me at the time but its something I think is very much iconic for the 90s, this show and Beavis and Butthead, MTV in general actually, because then it was about music.     I made this thread to point out the silliness of referring to Equal Town as communist because of a few traits. So many people were like "lol communism!", I'd thought it would be apt to point out that you can just as easily say "lol, capitalists!" at Griffonstone.

    As annoying as it was that people were proclaiming that Starlight Glimmer's town was communist, it seems to me that the Griffonstone Griffons could just as easily be seen as representing capitalists with that same kind of thinking.

    I theorize that Equestria is a collection of united realms rather than a single one, like a confederation, or like the Holy Roman Empire, or like city-state Leagues. There are several things in the show that support this... -The Crystal Empire is apart of Equestria and is ruled by its own Prince and Princess. -The Flim Flam brothers mention a "Kingdom of Canterlot", and that could imply that Canterlot itself is a sub-realm of Equestria. -Mrs.Harshwinny mentions that "every City and Empire wants to host the Equestria Games" -Shining Armor mentions to who he thinks is Mrs.Harshwinny "I'd think in your line of work you meet Princes all the time" Overall, I think its a pretty good guess that Equestria is a collection of sub-realms, and it seems the Griffons are one of those realms.

    Two of my grandparents are French Canadians, from Montreal and everything. Yet I lived my entire life in English speaking America, to English speaking parents, and I know only a little French from when I took a class in High school. So how French-Canadian could I be? I guess I like Canada, and I would like to visit Quebec at some point, and I would be interested in learning more french, maybe.

    Can you belive there was once a time where people didn't know about Mario? The 80s had some good rock. The FIM universe had an 80s too.

    @@Steel Accord, Yeah, Power rangers! I think Power Rangers in Space was my favorite Power Rangers. But i like Transformers Beast Wars even more.

    The Nostalgia Critic has a good video about the Disney Afternoon Cartoon block, its very 90s. Although, I never watched many of those Disney Shows, except for Gargoyles and Recess, those shows are awesome. I should watch me some Kim Possible now, I feel like I missed something by not watching much of that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEE53i0wNNA But yeah, remember Saturday mourning cartoons? The time of the all the best cartoons kids show on air, especially Pokemon. Ah man, I was in like 4th grade when the Pokemon craze was at its height, almost everyone at school loved Pokemon.     Man, the 90s had a ton of great music! Like this... I never used the internet back then because I was little and it was the 90s, but I remember hearing this sound. And that people couldn't use the internet when someone was on the phone.

    OK, so Nure Redheart had a scene in season 2 as well. We didn't see here since then, even that rainbow Dash episode that heavily featured a hospital.

    This is how well loved Sonata is (and to a lesser extent, the other Sirens too), she can bully Sunset Shimmer and we all still love her. Mind you, Sunset Shimmer is the pony/human that climbed to the top of the waifu charts faster than Coco Pommel did.

    They will keep adding in more pony characters with each Equestria Girls they make. In the first movie they had Cheerilee, the Mane 6, the CMC, DJ Pon3, Celestia, Luna, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, and Cloudkicker. In Rainbow Rocks they added Derpy, Roseluck, Amethyst Star, Maud Pie, Bulk Biceps, and Octavia. So there is a good chance Zecora couls be in the next one. Cadance also propobly has a good chance too. I would like to see some of the human-only characters get a pony version, like how Flash Sentry did.

    We all know about Aloe and Lotus, the blue and pink spa ponies. But what about the other spa ponies, like Vera, the one who the CMC gave clown hair that one time. She was in the background a few times. Also, Nurse Redheart, didn't she only have that one scene in season 1? She seems somewhat forgotten to me too. I would like to see these characters at least in the background again.

    It doesn't have to be hollow, she didn't have to be physically existing, she might not have had a body at the time, mentally trapped in darkness.
