A bit annoyed. These exam costs used to be hundred; now they're almost 200. I'm not a goldmine. I'm tired of increasing costs while the promise of benefits continues to be tiny. I don't care how good it could be; I just care about how good it actually will be, and it's already the future. Still nothing. Why can't the cost be incrementally small just like the promise of good is???

I'm hoping to look forward to leaving this job I'm currently at and do something new, more constructive. Obviously can't do what I really want to do because it's a criminally high barrier to entry (to an extent not even that high, but to me a cruel joke..), so I have to find some middle ground for now.... until I'm 40, probably. 10 years out. Never had to be this way... Much as I'd like to apply now (where, I have a couple of ideas), I have PTO late July, so I might have to stick around for another month. Ugh. I'm already beat and committed to leaving though. -

I have a Canon MG3620, inkjet printer. Hasn't been a problem yet. I seldom use it except maybe a few times a month. I used up the color cartridge printing out all my "lesson plans", so now I just have black. Again, seldom use it, so not much need to get color. I had read reviews about it (since I didn't just want what was cheapest) and had plenty of good reviews. Actually I think it can also fax or make copies... -

To put things into perspective, they have "hot weather advisories" when the temperature goes above 90 . Or rather, you have hot weather advisories when the temperature goes above 90 . And you'll probably be getting those more often now D: ..

Decided I definitely will not be staying at my current job for much longer, formally. However I can't look now as I have a vacation in about a month, so I'll have to apply and hopefully be accepted right before.
Assuming I cannot complete this bloody training still lol, but at least I'd hopefully have gained some mobility after this. Assuming I actually can find something..

I was watching a weather chart on the restaurant TV; hotter than usual temperatures up there. Oof. What timing. This is not the norm thankfully.

Hardly anything, but I guess it wasn't completely unproductive. Reviewed the airman certification standards for flight instructors, built a lesson plan/scenario that one could give to a student, all while running a flight in the background on FS2004. JFK, New York to Incheon, Seoul. (x4 speed since I don't really like having the computer run on the sim for 16 hours straight anymore). Then mostly just.... doing nothing...
