Suppose hasbro instead of doing season 4, just restarted the show from episode 1. Twilight is leaving her magical studies (Or they could delve into that more). Instead of doing a new episode to fill in the patches on nightmare moon (plot holes), they just re do it entirely and put them in that way. No ones getting fired, no ones getting removed, (Okay maybe snips and snails LOL), they can splash in some new content that might been in season 4 into the reboot of the whole entire series, where there's room to fit it in. We wouldn't have a reformed discord. With equistra girls we could pretend like it never happened with a reboot Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, introduce sun set shimmer and do a little for shadowing, The main queston is, would you be okay with the writers trying to hit the reset button, or forge on ahead for better or worse.

she's basically draco malfiod from harry potter. I made the mistake early on thinking he'd ever grow into a series rival, a great villain. I kinda didn't mind how they made his story about redemption but that took Several movies. it took the whole damn series. truth is with as much time as diamond tiara gets, who knows, i'd like to see her earn her screen time.

I've peaked at the spoilers from season 4, and truthfully, I don't have alot hope for, well progress and development. I mean yes we're getting some back story on nightmare moon, but you could still have included that if you had those episodes to do over in the first place. In a reboot you could had a apple family trip in well, the first season. you could had diamond tiara being a Bitch to the cutie crusaders as soon as possible (heh and they have). Cause that would be the only real fear of a reboot. "Well we'd lose alot progress." i'm not sure that we're doing anything in season 4 other than spinning our wheels.

well when you say final episode, do you mean instead of season 4 we'd be getting a reboot? Cause I might lump that. There enough slip ups where I could see a reboot being some what acceptable. Re do discord, a couple of villians, maybe include some stuff from the comics. Yeah i'd be fine if that's what you meant.

I think you guys are missing something. It's not about going to equistra and destroying it for deconstructions sake. Pfff you can blow up a car and get that kind of satisfaction. your trying to destroy what it stands for. You also have to take into consideration the infectious nature of equistra, 1 you'll need to be patient 2 you'll need to bring people (ponies with you) to help bend equistra to your diabolic will before it infects you with it's wholesome goodness. So can you be patient enough, and disciplined enough all the while equistra is chipping away at your black heart and soul? I think that's how most of you would fail. And you'd be proud to fail that way. I on the other hand would be proud to be that vilian leading a hopeless charge that could never win simply because I would despise the alternative. I started watching his videos before i was really even a fan of the show, just cause i was fascinated "wow reviewers of the show have fans?" Now, this is never gonna fly (I think) but imagine a antognist maybe being a little to pro celestial, or to creative with what celestial may or may not want. Now you could totally attach a rel vent lesson to that episode. Now I don't hate religion, this isn't a heavy handed agenda to bash organized religion, I happen to belong to one, I think it would be neat that Pony A (what ever she'd be called) shows up, preaching the word of celestial (maybe not quite preaching, but shilling, talking about how awesome she is.) POnyville being 100 percent pro celestial make fast friends with pony A. Slowly but surely, do to her possibly brutal tactics (just as a out there example going rounds saying Changeling scum!) which most ponies probably wouldn't even flinch at. Sooner or later someone like twilight would hear these speeches or see her actions and have to make a hard unpopular opinion on how to handle the matter. The lesson could be sometimes doing the right thing isn't always gonna be popular, or what's popular isn't always right. I really like the idea of twilight in her new role having to have a not so happy ending now that she has more responsibility. The idea that being a alicorn princess has some suck moments to it.

really stubborn = over confident. Kinda like big mac telling her she can't do the whole farm. THE problem is she learned that lesson already. i mean see ponies like rarity and flutter shy learn lessons like this but they more or less lapse. well lets be honest. Trixie was never really cut out to be a main bad guy. Now a side kick, or a hench wench, hell yes! I saw a fan video where sombre makes an offer to twilght she quickly turns down (It's amazing the miracles fans pull with sombre loL). Now replace twilight with trixie in that scene. we might have had something. I think that's sunsets problem. she's a lacky (No literally even as a good guy) who just exceeded her post in life. She tried to disregard her mediocrity and paid for it. (anyone else picture diamond tiara saying that at a bad guy meeting?)

I finally saw the 4th episode, aka the apple jack episode where she runs herself into the ground running the farm, and helping everyone. And something new clicked. 1 why some people like apple jack 2 this thread. she is very close to OP in that episode. Close, but no cigar. The lesson of the show (or that episode) is no matter how reliable she is, she still needed her friends. A couple more days of that and she likely would had a stroke lol. Now this is some what of topic but please indulge me. I would have preferred apple jack not learning that lesson. (no i didn't want her to have a stroke and die LOL) but we likely all know that overly committed work horse, i think it would been a great continued character flaw. Rarity slips into vanity at times and it's some of her best screen time. Pinkie crazyness is her character flaw, twilight OCD is her most fun trate, Flutter shy is (DUH)....., and rainbow dash is a huge attention whore/ slash douche (LOL I could said that better, and sadly those are less enjoyable than i feel the others flaws). Taking away apple jacks flaws didn't make her more powerful, it made her less interesting.

well hell the only way to get a suitable bad guy in mlp might be i fact to use well the good guys lol. we'd get more discord, hell maybe even an unhappy ending where the Real pony is unable to help and is forced to home, learning the hard lesson you can't fix all problems but it doesn't excuse you from trying.

I recall seeing a code name kids next store episode where father is the good guy with his kids, and the main hero's are the bad guys. Now It's been done, (Dark wing duck showing the muddle foots as bad guys lol of all things), wouldn't it be awesome with discord the champion of Freedom (chaos). chyselias rage being oppressed as she tries to strive for acceptance, King sombre in the role of Celestial of sorts. Trixie using her meek powers to help her friends in effectively, imagine a poor dimond tiara and silver spoons being terrorized by the cutie crusaders who who are bitter about not having their cutie marks. I was thinking of twilight being cast into this other dimension, but she gets enough screen time already. Pinkie's mischievously enough to end up in any amount of trouble, or they could really go for something unexpected like using a back ground pony to tell the tale, or Candice.

I think this is a fantastic theory, and they could even tack on a lesson that some times the people you trust most will sometimes disappoint and hurt you, I'm not sure I can give the writing staff that much credit. And don't hand me "it's a girl show nonsense.." I think theirs' room to have complex schemes, difficult struggles that extend beyond half hour to an hour, and henchman that aren't as dopey as snips an snails LOL. (Why can't we have a bad guy using trixie and sunset as flunkies?) their expendable, annoying, everything you'd want in henchmen.

I believe the term for worf people might get is "job." "as in discord jobbed to so and so." And discord losing could be part of his plan. you could also say celestial losing is part of her plan to encourage her students to rise to the occasion and not rely on her. I only count flutter shy beating discord honestly, I mean she did it with the elements. we already know the elements are the ultimate super death cheat code. Example Cthulu the elder god appears, BAMP elements of harmony and team rocket is blasting off again (LOL).

Well the changeling army is suppose to be stealthy, i mean luna never really shows her own forces (or does she?) isn't it odd the second most powerful creature in all of equistra doesn't have wallflowers? Now I'm assuming that scene from season 4 is a flash back of some sort. Who's to say it's not mis leading? Kinda like tom riddle in the chamber of secrets in the second potter movie. Suppose Luna is evil, wouldn't it be in her best interest to spin a lie about her being controlled by out side forces? Bam, instant mulligan and all is forgiven.
