Discord, Celestial, Luna, and given enough time Twilight will have likely had the ear of every damn immortal in the land. Benevolent or other wise. She'll know the score. Meaning if there's an after life she'd known about it. IF there was one. Now you can take that any number of directions. Twilight trying to extend her life, toss death aside entirely, maybe even turning evil, I mean sombre beat the breaks of aging and he's not even an alicorn. Unless we're to assume he eats souls to stay young lol. "It's dark magic." is the excuse. You know who's to say good magic can't extend life. Well in the hearth's warming eve episode i thought i heard them say "before celestial." and mentioned ponies were more into hatred. (to quote spike "hard to imagine right."). Um I don't think they'll touch B.C. = before Celestial. (heh funny how that worked out).

I'm not saying they'd ever show that or should, but it's kinda messed up how bad the main six just go to the point of breaking. Twilight even if she did get an extended life span (we know she doesn't but shhh) with the work she puts on herself, could end up wearing herself down to the point where she fidders away the extension from stress. Apple jack in the third episode literally was running herself into the ground, trying to juggle everything she could. Rarity push to design and resign dresses, in stare master, and dressed for success but she seems like the kinda pony who's smart enough to take a break. I could see it happening to Flutter shy, but alot animals would have to be in peril. Now in rainbow's case I don't think it would be continued stress so much as rainbow pushing her luck one to many times. but her job is dare devil (of sorts). Could Pinkie party till she drops? (could think of alot worse ways to go lol). Now again i'm not suggesting it would be on the show, just maybe the show seems to have alot fun with pushing the characters to their limits so it's some food for thought.

Oh I can totally argue Winnona over friends. Friends and family cause you grief. There's a special bond of raising a pet that it's a different box all together than losing a friend. You can grow apart from friends. your pet in most cases is with you for life. It's not like your gonna go "i'm sick of my dog or cat." and yes I think we lost direction a long time ago LOL. Well i'm gonna think outside the box on this one seeing as how the Gala was a blow out you asking me who deserved to be there the most means "who deserved to have their dreams dashed?" I would rule out flutter shy cause it's not a lesson she needed about animals. I don't think Pinkie learned or needed to learn about those kind of ponies. AJ likely already knew about snobs and high end city folk and could seen that coming. So it's a toss up between rainbow and rarity. I'm not sure rainbow became more wiser for going to the G but rarity might have. it might have been the wake up call for the person who wanted to be at that kind of social event the most. I'm inclined to agree with Anthony C. on the matter when Kids stories use to have license to be "Grim." Little red riding hood and the like. Kids tails with poor outcomes as a tale of woe. but again if we're talking kids show regular show had Death in it. Grim adventures of billy and mandy had Death as a main character. but i'm just looking at the whole "But it'll be sad if twilight out lives everyone." Pff you can already had tons of tear jerking moments like that already. Apple jack out living her dog. Tank out living rainbow (not just cause turtles age slower but cause rainbow daredevil style is gonna make sure she checks out first in all likely hood lol). I like to indulge in the goofy "what if" realm of fans.
