  1. What's the longest an OC could take to get into a branch? My OC was submitted over a month ago, and I still don't see it in a branch. I don't want to rush you, I just want to make sure mine wasn't lost somewhere.
  2. Is the project on hiatus? The counter has been stuck at 46 for a while now.
  3. On average, how much time passes from being put in the queue to being in a branch?
  4. How often do you update the list? I haven't seen new names on the list in a couple days.
  5. When MLP's 4th season premieres, I'll be away from home. I'll have internet, but will not have access to a tv with the hub. Does anyone know if I can find a stream of the premiere online, or something else I can watch it on? Thank you in advance for any info.
  6. Here's my OC, Orion: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/orion-r4967 (It's a he) How will we know when our OCs are added to the list, and where can we find them when they are?
  7. After watching the Brony Chronicles: Part 1, I realized that it hadn't updated in a long while. Saberspark claimed both would be finished by late 2013, but that looks doubtful, seeing as it is already mid November. Does anyone have any information as to when the documentary will be finished? Any info would be much appreciated.
  8. Derpy's Finest Hour There are certain things that you read because you want to find out what everyone else is talking about, and then there are the things you look up because your curiosity overwhelms your common sense. Derpy's Finest Hour is the latter.
  9. This is going to be so great! They did say that Twi's royal duties would not come into play in S4, but whatever. I have only one thing to say to Hasbro:
  10. Yeah, I looked that up. Not like I needed to sleep tonight or anything. It's like the telephone/talking part of "I am the Walrus," except it's for the whole song.
  11. What PMVs do you want to see that haven't already been made? For one, I would like to see Do Ya (ELO)-Spike singing about Rarity Rockaria! (ELO)-About Octavia Sweet is the Night (ELO)-about Luna Tender is the Night (Jackson Browne)-About Luna Wanderlust (Paul McCartney)-Showcasing the more adventure-like episodes Sure as I'm Sitting Here (3 Dog Night)-About the ups and downs of Twilight's stay in Ponyville She's Always a Woman (Billy Joel)-About Twilight Sparkle (and her personality quirks) Honesty (Billy Joel)-About Applejack Baba O'Riley (Who)-About Ponyville's creation (shown in 'Family Appreciation Day') And a lot more. Do you have any PMVs you want to see made? Also, have any of the above mentioned PMVs been made? Post away.
  12. I sometimes subtly say things like "what the buck" or "everypony," but don't usually use brony-speak when not around my brony friends. Also, I can't imagine how people's friends/siblings react to being called, "sugarcube." It just sounds like it wouldn't go over well.
  13. Before the big bang, there was one very tiny, very dense singularity, which rapidly expanded because of the Higgs-Boson. Before that, there was another universe which collapsed into said singularity. Outside our universe, there are infinite universes existing within a four dimensional plane.
  14. Simmer down, there, Prime Reaper. This is a philosophy thread, no need for so many exclamation points. Also, please don't bring religion into this.
  15. How do we know ponies did not suffer previously? Hearth's Warming times seemed pretty chaotic to me. Also, assuming Discord is chaos incarnate, we can also assume he was just toying with the mane 6. People are only as powerful as the believe they are. Chaos is more of a concept than a beast. It is also the cause, and answer to, all of life's problems. Hence it's continuation. Equestria is a fictional land full of pastel ponies in a kids' cartoon. They better be freaking happy. I bet they could overcome normal human problems if they needed to. I mean, a lot of the episodes are "slice-of-life," right?
  16. Idk how a geocentric solar system functions correctly. I'm guessing the whole universe isn't geocentric, though. "That is another discussion." Yeah, I kinda accidentally an essay on your thread about that.
  17. First of all, Equestria is a society that functions much better than any I know of, except for Andorra; they're all happy there. Speaking of Andorra, let's look at it, for comparison to a fictional world. Andorra (one of the happiest places on earth) shares a lot in common with the fictitious land of equines: relatively low population, great natural beauty. (On a side note, Andorra also has high life expectancy) Andorra also hasn't been at war for 700 years. Let's use that example to represent harmony. Andorra/Equestria hasn't been at war (which is an example of bad chaos) for nearly a millennium (not counting the season finales: those weren't wars), and, possibly as a result, has caused great happiness (harmony) among its citizens. Harmony does not always mean complete order: because complete order is tyranny; harmony means something along the lines of peace. As for the Equestrians' hostility towards other races, it is just because they were too hostile to be reasoned with. For the Changelings we do not have enough information to make a judgement call, as they could have eaten other things as well. For all we know, they could have just liked love better than food. Also, they were attempting a hostile takeover, not an eating spree. You said that the Equestrians were contradicting themselves by defeating Discord and others, but no rule can be fair if followed all the time. The U.S. Declaration of Independence states that all men have the right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." It then goes on to contradict itself, saying that if someone took away someone else's life, liberty, etc., they could get theirs taken away. This is obviously good, because otherwise there could be no law. The same goes for Equestria and the defeat of several villains. They can be punished if they punish others too much. As for oppressing chaos: Equestria only is against evil chaos. It's like those alignment tables; there's chaotic good, chaotic evil, good harmony, and bad harmony (although I prefer to call it oppression, as harmony is supposed to be intrinsically good by definition.) Discord represented evil chaos, which hurts other people. That's something that Equestria oppresses because it needs to be oppressed: what if we didn't oppress murder? Good chaos, like Pinkie Pie's, is not bad, and I think that we all need a little bit o' chaos in our lives. Furthermore, bad chaos (Discord) consists of crimes and sins and shouldn't be tolerated, while good chaos (P.P.) is needed and should be tolerated. Bad chaos is doing evil; good chaos is doing unorganized or spontaneous things. They're completely different things, if you look closely. Discord's reign was only bad chaos under the guise of good chaos. The only difference was that he was having fun while making everypony miserable. Discord wasn't actually all that different from all the other villains, unless you're only looking superficially. So no, I don't think Equestria has it wrong. Chaos leads to fear. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. thank you so much if you read this waffle of a post (more like a pancake).
  18. I read a theory that that's why Discord tried to create chaos in Equestria: to stop universal order. Also, I think the whole purpose of threads like these is to make Equestria "realistic." I don't think they strive for universal order; I just think that they found out they could manipulate the weather, and said, "why the heck not?" Not saying it has to be; though it would make sense, the way Celestia and Luna are depicted raising the sun and the moon, respectively. Also, a solar system based around the sun would make Luna pale in comparison to Celestia. I mean, some other planets have 10+ moons.
  19. For this, I think that they're's no good explanation (yet). What controlled the weather before ponies evolved? Wouldn't everyone just die out if nopony was there to move the clouds? Additionally, for clouds not to move, there would have to be no wind. Perhaps the clouds would not move because clouds in Equestria are made of something different than clouds on Earth. They sure don't look like condensed water vapor. Which would make sense, since if Pegasi went as high as real clouds, they'd freeze to death. Maybe the atmosphere doesn't work the same in Equestria? Maybe that's why the clouds wouldn't move if not for Pegasi! Or maybe it's just Pegasus magic. That theory still doesn't say how creatures could evolve without survivable weather. Even the Sahara has some rain, I mean, all creatures need fresh water to survive, right? Who knows? Evidently not me.
  20. It seems that all weather in Equestria is controlled by ponies (save the Everfree Forest.) If they made no attempt to control the weather, what would happen? Would clouds move on their own, like normal, or would there be a huge drought? Not to mention the sun; what would happen if the unicorns didn't raise the sun and the moon? Personally, I think that the ponies only help the weather move along. I bet if they stopped controlling it, weather there would be much like on earth. If that's true, what about the sun and the moon? Well, I think that the sisters only serve to stabilize the heavenly bodies, rather than completely control them. If they solely guided them, how would the sun or the moon ever be there before ponies could move them? However, I believe Luna and Celestia still could move their heavenly bodies at will if they wanted to. If the royal sisters died or something, seasons/weather patterns would be like on earth: unpredictable. Even though this headcanon gives a slight nerf to the sisters' powers, it does explain why the unicorns weren't "the master race": they weren't the sun/moon's only driving force. Also, if the heavenly bodies in Equestria "raise" as if they were discs in the sky, does the Equus' (or whatever) solar system look like this: http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/lect/retrograde/aristotle.gif Let me hear what you think about the weather in Equestria.
  21. Umm... Sim Gretina hasn't quit. Aslo, I agree with what your're saying, although I probably would not listen to brony music if it didn't have to do with ponies. It's not usually the kind of music I like.
  22. Tombstone can't make references anymore because he got some contract or something (good for him.) Not everyone is quitting, though. Look at Mandopony, he's still going strong. I don't think this is the case, though. I'm not much of a brony doomsday prophet, like some people, and I think that just because a few people stopped/went on hiatus from their music, doesn't have to be such a bad omen. Personally, I like the fact that Tombstone got his contract. We still can carry on without TLT, and some others. Personally, I think some people are overreacting (what a surprise!) With the ever-continuing influx of, well, everything, I'm sure some other bronies will rise to the challenge of carrying the brony music torch, when, and only when, our current musical artists quit. Long live the bronies.
  23. Is anyone noticing that several brony musicians are not producing mlp music anymore? I saw something on EqD about some pretty popular artist quitting (whom I can't remember the name of), and, of course, Tombstone can no longer explicitly reference the show, which means no remixes. Additionally, JackleApp and WoodenToaster are currently on a music hiatus. It would only make sense, with the pony drought and all, but do you think that's the cause, or is it only the cycle of talented people coming in and out of the fandom? Let me hear what you think. (P.S. Does anyone know what happened to the Beatle Bronies? They are all producing music separately now, but have never said they broke up the band.)
