    I know that most people think that all the Pony Conventions are on the West Coast, or the North East of the United States, and it is really hard to get publicity for any conventions that aren't. We know that there are Bronies and Pegasisters in the South East of the US that wanted a convention and we've been trying to get the word out that we have one... So, if you want a reasonably priced convention that is located near all the most popular theme parks, gorgeous beaches and a very pretty city... come to Tampa, Aug 15-17th. We are offering a discount on our Facebook Fan Page if that helps!

    Hi Everypony, It's been a while since I've posted an update. The Grand Brony Gala is only 2 months away and we're in full swing with rehearsals for our stage shows: "Fluttershy's Villain Reformation Program" which will be a full length stage show with some of your favorite villains and "Mystery at the Gala" which will take place on Saturday Night at our formal Grand Galloping Gala, and will be an interactive Mystery Dinner Theater and Formal Dance. Along with these shows, we also have two local bands performing: The Brony Tones and SS Hanami AND we have our Guests performing: Michelle Creber (VA of Apple Bloom) and Black Gryphon in Concert In addition we have Cathy Weseluck (VA of Spike & my favorite: Mayor Mare) And the MLP Book Series Author: GM Berrow who will be signing autographs of all her titles, including Equestria Girls. So many events and panels planned for this fun-filled weekend! If you want to come, tickets are still available online! Oh, and where & when is all this fun taking place?     xxmoonxraverxx I hope you can come! However, I don't know about leaving your 8 year old brother off with a random child, but we will have a game area for younger fans, with face painting, games and crafts. Also we will have a balloon artist who will be making a life sized pony for our Saturday Night Gala. He'll be making smaller ponies, etc. for tips, I'm sure. And G.M. Berrow is coming... she's the author of the mlp chapter books. If he has them he can get them signed -- or of course, you can, too.

    I met Zach and some of his team in Gainesville last month at a showing of Double Rainboom. He didn't come across at all like you are all describing him. In fact I invited him and 5 others from the Double Rainboom team to come to the Grand Brony Gala and do a showing of Double Rainboom at the Gala. They were incredibly nice! And I'm still hoping they will come and do that. So... if you didn't get a chance to see Double Rainboom, you may have a chance to see it on a BIG SCREEN theatre style at The Grand Brony Gala in August.

    Yes, I am sure people would enjoy it, but perhaps not a whole convention, as those usually involve panels and dances, and I don't think the two would go well together. However, maybe at one of our next meet-ups or fundraisers we could do this. I'll put out a poll on our FB and see how the response is. Thanks!

    We tried to bring in some mini-horses last year to our Con, but the hotel wouldn't let us because of "insurance issues" -- I think they were afraid we'd leave pony-poop in the parking lot. That being said, I used to ride and I've friends who still ride and show, including show-jumping. Florida is well known for its horses.

    I used to be blunt and not very tactful. But I saw that damage that words could do to a person, so normally I take my time in a conversation and I think about how the words I say will be received. However, that being said.. get me upset or angry and the "Jersey girl" comes out.

    The shadow pony can't be a live pony because it is translucent. You can see the background behind / through it. But is this the first time an episode has ended with a cliff-hanger? And this has got to be the most terrifying episode ever. Practically lost AJ off that ledge -- no wings, no horn... what could an earth pony do? And yes, we know Angel was safe, but wasn't it heart breaking when Fluttershy thought Angel was killed? MLP isn't for kids anymore. -Arlene AKA Mayor Mare of the Grand Brony Gala

    I'm the "Mayor Mare" of the Grand Brony Gala, of Tampa, Florida. Our goal is to not only have a great time, but to do it for charity. We raised money for Children's Miracle Network, which benefited All Children's Hospital. Last summer was our first convention, which was a tremendous success. Over 325 people participated in our one-day mini-con. This fall we held a Nightmare Masquerade Dance (about 100 attendees) as a kick-start for The Grand Brony Gala - TWO. And have decided to hold it for THREE days, Aug 15-17, 2014, at the Embassy Suites-USF/Busch Gardens, in Tampa, FL.
