  1. Oh, i'm overwhelmed by the great suggestions, so i'll just comment on some that feels special to me: * Hatsune Miko Vocaloid: Great idea! * Slipknot? Ok ... Then i'll add * Lordi Eminem ... yeah, good idea The entire Watchmen? Rorchasch, Silk Spectre(2), Dr Manhattan, Ozymandias, NiteOwl(2), Comedian, .... I like the Idea * Akuma: Yeeeaahh ..... put him in "Fighting is Magic"? .... Almost makes me wanna see Dalshim, Chun Li, Guile and Cammy, too .... * Dr Doom: O.O Oh, yessss. * Glados = Aperture Pony, yes (I really like those two PMV's ) * Falco? Are we talking Der kommissar & Rock me Amadeus - Falco? That would be really interesting indeed, if so .... * Lady Gaga: I'd like that too ... * Drum Corps ..... ok, if only for the wierdness of it * Freddie Mercury ...... Yes, he would be badass. Great idea. (RIP: FM) Umm, yeahhh, i think i have seen him somewhere ......
  2. After first seeing Magneto as a pony, and then seeing someone in another thread wanting to see Chuck Norris becoming a Brony, i thought, "Brony? I want to see him as a Pony!" So, which Celebrity and/or fictional character would you like to see as a pony, in the series or just in fanwork? I think i'd like these (in addition to Chuck Norris): Celebrities: * Ozzy Osbourne * Bjork * Johnny"Rotten"Lydon * Grace Jones * Quentin Tarantino * Pat Benatar Fictionals: * Jem * Alucard (of Hellsing) ... Hard to think of more, several has already been done ....
  3. Clouds, Ponies and bears, oh my... hey wait! That's not even Gen 1 ponies!
  4. Why not ask her to banish Michael B(®)ay instead?
  5. OMG!That is actually one of the series that i would Like to give a makeover ... so it worked! I once saw some of the early episodes on a rented VHS Videocasette, .... Problem is, even then i noticed that it wasn't very good .. i mean, at most there were 3-4 "songs" on a minute or so each, of which one were the "misfits's" "song", really .... in different mixes .... ... And i remember the "truly outrageous" ... sad that i found it to only be outrageously bad in the longer run .... The problem is, could it work, how much would be neccesary to pull it off? My personal thoughts on what it would need, is adventure ... which they never really seemed to get originally, real opposition .... but actual enemies would automatically turn them too easy into either the super-hero- or magical girl-genre .... but then, they might need it ... And, of course, variety. As far as music styles went, they only had Jem & the Holograms, and the Misfits. Other bands with other styles would possibly be welcome ...
  6. Ok, now that Lauren Faust has managed to make a massive makeover to MLP, that is nothing short of a massive success, it is most probably just a question of time until other shows tries to mimic that success, with extremely varying results. So, the questions i ask,is these: * Which shows do you think will be the next to try by fixing a makeover similar to Lauren's work on MLP? (No, i'm not forgetting the rest of the staff, but Lauren did put together part of the staff, who then put together the rest.) * Which shows would you like to get a makeover like the one above? * Will the makeover be successful or not?
  7. Oh, and someone made a live-action musicvideo of Eurobeat Brony's version of "Discord" ....
  8. Hey, it is of course in Magic .... and some other things: "The magic of Friendship" ....
  9. Sorry. All i can say is "so, this is now another site that has grown beyond the "hobby level", and will need constant revenue = ads" .... I'm personally torn between donating, wich i might not be able to be consistently ... if at all, or not donating even if i could, just to ensure you won't grow too much .... Ok, i sound harsh, and i sound selfish, but by now, too many sites has started out as hobbysites, but eventually been so popular that they had outgrown the "hobby" level, and eventually taken in more and more ads .... And i see ads today as way too often a waste of time, space, and work .... and they look ugly. I'm torn.
  10. However, Pinkie IS rotating Twilight's tail. Also, in sheer size, Twilight is far more closer to a gatling than a Thompson MG. And, it do look to me as if the Thompson also has a rotating ... is it ammoclip? you just doesn't see it rotate. ... Or do you mean that all of the Gatling gun's barrels fires at once?
  11. Are Thompson submachine guns "driven" with a rotating hand maneuver? The old gatlings were, tough. ..... As for gratification .... well, getting temporarily turned into a weapon by Pinkie Pie simply must be at least a bit gratifying ....
  12. * Sigh *.... Another who is unable to understand the difference between WH40K with Ponies and FiM with WH40K-influences. The point was that Platoons are smaller than Chapters, MUCH SMALLER. You are also another that obviously don't understand my problem(s), but that is common, so i'm not surprised. Oh, and this is not my first attempt at a game, far from it, i have (had?) a tendency to be unable to fully complete games, though. And Twilight is very logical as an Inquisitor, as i see it. That you don't see it too .... well, that's just makes it even more obvious that you can't help me, under the circumstances. "Additionaly, the inquisitor would more then likely use an inhouse service like Deamon hunters, Grey Knights, Imperial Guard, SoB, or any of the other houses built for combat. Usually inquisitors already have their own teams. Space marines and the Inquisition don't get along well" Again, this is FiM with WH40K-influences, and NOT WH40K with Ponies.
  13. So That was what you meant with deployment! But anyway, who says it is different chapters? Again, the place is Equestria, not a vast galactic empire ... The size is mo likely Platoons, at most. Also, it is Twilight, in this case an equivalent of an Inquisitor, that has put together the basic task force, where each have their specialties, think more a mix between a Killteam and an Inquisirorial retinue. Yes, i do take huge liberties here, it is because i can and must, for several reasons. As for the planning, i wonder if you did read my post before this ... I wonder if this thread was such a good decision after all ... but i know i did it because i had to ...
  14. Ok, i put in 6-10 hours, but that is much because i have currently a crossover-project going, that includes ponies, and i tend to have any of my projects on my mind, ponies or not, much of my waking time. This crossover is also my "other" entry in the poll.
  15. First thing, this is not my first game attempt, the first was planned, but despite that, it both became too much, and i kept adding ideas, so planning did not work that well for me either.Besides, when starting working on this, i was totally alone, and also eager to start. But. I really like your suggestions, especially that with a real menu. ... I had almost forgotten that ... The reason why i only added close combat-type attack to the ponies to begin with, is because i was uncertain where to place any bolter ... or bolt pistol ... and so on, so it looked good. Besides, this game is not intended as a "40K with ponies", it is rather intended as "FiM with notable/heavy WH40K - influences". As for set-up in the first mission, the others had already started looking for the info, when the Iron Hoof localized it, and deducted that they needed a "jumper" to get it. ... Then in comes the Blood Mare, on short notice, with no weapons at all, but can at least jump on the small enemies, and squasch them by weight. Also, It is not unheard of for squads to start a mission scattered, especially when it is only one or two squads, it also happens in the Space Hulk Game, that i'm inspired by. So, your suggestions on what i should do next, is adding a real menu, and/or adding bolters ... sounds good. I'll see what i can do
  16. It is currently easiest described with this video: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEkFeqNvZCE If the video somehow doesn't work, or you want a clearer definition: It is a 2D multiscroll-platformer, where one controls several Power Armored Ponies, and may shift between any of them, in order to get the tasks done. The Blood Mare is somehow best at jumping, while the UltraPony is a Unicorn with a chainhorn that .. almost can't jump at all. The placing of the ponies, and in which order to move them, may be important in how fast one manages to do it. The first Mission may currently be managed by only using The Blood Mare, but i consider to put in a Bulkhead somewhere that only the one with chainhorn can get through. I'm inspired by the original version of the boardgame Space Hulk, so yes, making Terminator Armored ponies may become a priority at any time. But. There is also something else to the project, that i call "The Dollhouse", where it, if i manages to make it, will be possible to choose to use possibly any of the ponies available during the entire game, including some cameo's and "hard-to-get ones" in the game itself. However, The Dollhouse will be just that, a kind of dollhouse with movable ponies, and not a game.
  17. Ok, to begin with: No Doctor: Kyronea exlpained that very well. Derpy, on the other hand, is a completely different issue ..... You see, just exactly what happened after The last Roundup can be used, as a lesson in Tolerance, in Caring, in Understanding, in the actual series. Think of it, after The last Roundup, Derpy may have noticed how less people wants her around ... so she was clearly happy when she got invited to the wedding. However, during the festivities, she got ... a bit down, possibly after a few people avoiding her, and Celestia notices that, and asks Luna to talk with her, and report back. Luna does so, ..... and Celestia considers things. Some time later, Celestia tasks the Mane 6 with a wierd duty: To bring Derpy to one "event" each. They do encounter people who ... are unsure ... about Derpy being there, as well as people that goes directly "No, thath trouble-maker may not enter", and they deal with it in their own ways ...
  18. I'd add 5 or 10 minutes to "part 2". That would have been enough. Cheesy Defeat of the Changelings? Remember what show it is, mind you!
  19. "Minotaur" literally means "Mino's Bull", so the name itself do not imply any "half-human" at all.It is "The Bull from Minos".
  20. I feel awkward even making this topic, and i partially even feel like i don't want help, even if i know i do need help ... So, what is it, then? I'm currently working on my FiM/WH40K Project, and way too often, i get stuck in figuring out what next to do. I frequently has an idea on what to do next, but is unable to focus on it. And, i explain it closer, so thet you reading this may understand: I know there is several ways of figuring out what to do by myself, but i always ends up needing someone to suggest things for me, anyway. And just helping me on one occasion is just helping me on one occasion, but i get this several times. I have tried to fgure out other ways instead of asking for help, but i always end up having to ask for help, anyway ... So, what is my current problem i need help with? As i mentioned, i have a FiM/WH40K - project going, and need currently suggestions on what next to do ... in it/for it. You don't need to know anything about WH40K, but it may certainly help if you do ....
  21. Ok, you respond with all decent replies as "It's a joke" or "You are over-analyzing it".I have then no other option than to patially agree with batbrony: This is a thread just to troll "Trollestia" ... or just to troll. I'm done with this thread now, i guess, there is no point in replying here anymore.
  22. First, i Know what a Mary-Sue is. I do not need any test (i think i've seen the one you talk about, though).Tough pill? Heck i know my own fictional character is a possible ... or actual Mary-sue, so don't say any about tough pill, it is already swallowed. But. You do still not underststand what a Mary-Sue is. A Mary-Sue is at least implied or intended to be a general character while she really is not. Essentially, if Princess Celestia would have been one of the Mane 6, then she would have been a Mary-Sue. But She is NOT. She is never implied to be anything such, she is rather defined as a Godess, so if she is a Mary-sue, then so too is Thor, Odin, Zeus, Athena, Isis, Ra, .... oh, and possibly even Jesus. Alucard in Hellsing is more of a Mary-Sue ... or Gary Stu, as the male equivalent is called. And in the show, both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are more of Mary-Sues, considering what they can do, compared to others in their estimated age and professions. ... Twilight Sparkle may soon pass them both, though. But, again, Pricess Celestia is a divine ruler, and is always defined as a such, and therefor, she is a possible Deus Ex Machina, and not a Mary-sue. Weakness? That has nothing to do with it, since Mary-Sues may well have weaknesses, too.
  23. First you say ""For science", and then you say that anyone truly analyzing it is missing the point.I think you miss your own point at that exact moment. First: Celestia is not a Mary-Sue, since she has not the main role, nor does she truly takes the spotlght while trying to pretend she's a normal character. However, she is an ever-present Deus ex machina, meaning she can seemingly fix anything, that can't be handled by the main characters. There is a difference between a Mary-Sue and a Deus ex Machina, even though a Mary-Sue may work as a D.e.M., too. That's why Celestia removed the "get it"-spell Twilight had made, but seemingly not cared about the Cerberus. As for hogging the spotlight, ..... ah, i'll take that perhaps another time ... Oh, by the way, sending a knight with all those letters would have risked 2 things: 1: The knight getting distorted by Discord, the letters would not reach Twi. 2: The letters getting read by Discord after point 1, and him understanding what Celestia was trying to do. 3: The desillusioned Twi not caring about recieving the letters.
  24. Lauren wanted to define Celestia as Queen, from what i have heard. Hasbro preferred she was defined as a Princess. Crysalis was souped-up on Shining armor's love for Cadence, if she hadn't been, Celestia would have won easily. Royal titles are just that: Titles.
  25. Ok, The Demo is not yet updated, but i want the next demo-update to be more solid than it would be if i made it as i write this. But, i have a screenshot-like picture, that shows some of the new additions .... direct or indirect: Additions shown(currently still not in the Demo): * A working Chainhorn * Yes, all 4 space ponies in the mission is movable, but only one at the time. * A timer (this may prove to be realy important ... ) * A possible "Order"-function. This might be removed, though, unless i find a good way to use it. Ok, i have made a lousy video, and put it on youtube, to show some updates .... The Demo itself is still not updated yet, though.
