    For what it is worth I completely disagree. I respect you completely mesme, but I don't quite see it like you described. I think it is very important to have a place where controversial topics can be discussed. I have seen many interesting points of view in the debate pit and I believe that while there is definitely a few bad apples, in this case, it does not spoil the bunch. A vast majority of debate pit topics and threads are completely civil, I think it is jumping the gun to say because a few users (or threads) can't control themselves the whole thing gets shut down. Perhaps if we were looking for a compromise you could argue for stricter rules. This is something I could potentially get behind, just so long as it does not hinder potential conversations. Also, for what it is worth. Sections such as the debate pit are what make this forum so much more active than most MLP forums. The fact that users can talk about anything (within reason) really keeps people posting and sticking around. If we make it a habit of stunting conversation the community cannot last very long.

    As someone who can't take a joke (by my own admission) I would say NO personally. But staff makes friends just like everyone if they make friend's and know those friends are Okay with it, I have no problem.

    The trailers I remember getting were Ferdinand (looks terrible), Coocoo (looks alright), and the preview for Hanna Zuki (I somehow really enjoyed). I don't remember seeing Peter Rabbit.

    But it does include Marketing because to Hasbro this film is an excuse to make more toys and books and DVDs. It is literally just an hour-and-a-half advertisement. If you were telling me that they spent millions of dollars in did not take that into consideration you are a liar.

    You're failing to get the point I guarantee you that that budget did not go into production of the film. That budget is including the marketing. This this is going to be written off as advertisement. Honestly they probably didn't expect to make all the money back at least in ticket sales alone. You are seeing the small picture but failing to look at the large picture. They are a toy company and they want to sell toys. Toys to little kids. Oh yes let's needlessly bring politics into this.

    You are blowing that up way too much it was expected to do around 10 and it got around 9. Really not a huge deal, when you consider the General Health of the box-office this weekend. And the fact that this is a toy company. And I'm sure you've seen plenty of movie merch around.

    I went to an early showing in Friday which is always a slow time because people work. There was probably like 24 people mostly teen couples really.
