    Though I've been met mostly with acceptance by close family members / friends (I think family can be friends, too), *I* felt a bit more awkward admitting that... I actually enjoyed the show lol. The other thing actually predated my entry proper into the fandom. What I think happened was: I let slip during an online chat with a cousin that I liked the ponies a bit more than some. And, some time thereafter, oh... Other people in my itty bitty social circle suddenly knew. See if I tell my cousin about my amorous feelings regarding colorful, talking cartoon ponies again!!1! (Actually, I linked a perfectly SFW - albeit somewhat risque - pic of Pinkie Pie to my cousin's FB page sometime later.) Only my cousin seemed weirded out by it at all (and not significantly so, I don't think), and he seemed okay with it once I assured him that I wouldn't be jumping any fences and "getting to know" any real-life mares. My brother never gave me any flack for it whatsoever, and a friend - with no interest in NSFW pony stuff themselves - kinda wanted to send me pony pics. That's what I call a friend, right there. I've even gone so far as to inform my mother that I was "attracted" to the ponygirls. But hell - she knows I had the hots at some point for a cartoon mouse lol, so I doubt the pony thing even phased her. And perhaps I gave her a clue or two years ago when I all of a sudden HAD TO HAVE some pony figures. I'm becoming less and less guarded concerning my special affection for the ponies; though I'm likelier to ogle a perfectly SFW (or even show-derived) image than anything else. Though I have been to the darker corners of the internet - and lived to tell the tale!! I used to watch stuff with tentacles, and that basically prepares you for most anything. Idunno how I'd deal with a stranger or neighbor getting on my case about MLP. Maybe if I told them I had the hots for Rainbow Dash they'd just slowwwly back away?? Edit: I actually have an extraordinary amount of affection for RD lol. I answered in the affirmative on another topic concerning making hybrid pony / human babies, so... Yeah. ^^;

    This carefree mustachioed dude in the cat suit: Pretty sure everyone knows who he is. Even when the princess has been kidnapped (not so in SM3DW) and he's beset by a myriad of Bowser's loyal minions, he always looks like he gets some enjoyment out of the whole thing lol.

    Kinda wanted to revisit something I've already touched upon: Dashie being a so-called "tomboy." Which, I admitted I liked lol. But I think that, despite her best efforts, her cuteness and even femininity still shine through. And I'm comfortable saying "femininity" not simply because she's obviously (to me) a girl pony. But because being tough, brave, and daring are not exclusively masculine traits. There are some tough / confident ladies out there, and there's no reason that should be mistaken for unattractive or unfitting. Perhaps I'm alone in this, but:

    *Peruses some comments by female posters.* I know the topic was originally aimed at males, but what if a female were thrust into Equestria and given a similar ultimatum? What if said female were more interested in a marefriend than a stallion?? Would adoption rather than producing your own offspring meet the conditions of said ultimatum?

    I keep meaning to watch that; I had no idea it even existed until more recently. I figured it'd be like the original series in this respect: some episodes were genuinely brilliant / ahead of their time, and some episodes were just fun / good for a laugh lol. Even when the original series was "bad" it was good.

    Hmmm... Fair enough, I suppose. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Lol, I'd say the topic's skewed in favor of / to potentially benefit males. Which isn't especially fair (both in the case of a female poster and the female pony), as it'd be the lady doing the bulk of the "work" (carrying the developing child and ultimately giving birth). For a guy, the scenario is pony love, Equestria forevuh, and a hybrid child; win, win, win xD.

    I think I'm fondest of the original series (plus the films), Enterprise, and the recent movies (despite how they meddled with the orginal series). Star Trek, original series: Honesty- Spock, as he's Vulcan always pretty darned straightforward - even with the Captain Kindness- Uhura Laughter- Scotty; seems the jovial type Generosity- Bones, because he's always "giving" others a piece of his mind, ehhh? Loyalty- Captain James Tiberius Kirk; to his crew and to the Enterprise Magic- Sulu lol?

      Its not a competition honestly, we all enjoy the show and like hanging out with each other. Thats what matters. Plus the longer you spend online, the less of a life you have...so im like the king of no life xD

    AppleDash was the first one I "acknowledged" lol. Then FlutterDash. And now RainbowPie feels right to me. It helps that I like the name my only two out-of-the-package brushables are RD and PP, and they've been seen hanging out together... On my entertainment center. xD

Also, to be fair, I think I have images of Pinkie on mah hard drive that would bother some folks more than the one that kicked off this topic. No, I won't be sharing.

    Etc. Just curious: did you anticipate, when you started this topic, that some people would take it this seriously lol? I mean largely the people that responded in the negative. Personally, I didn't bother factoring in the thousands of real life things one could have were this a genuine possibility.

    ^ Pretty much hit the nail on the head, I'd say. Everything is a point of fruitless contention. I'm sure there have been both Bronies and Sonic fans that got along and Bronies and Sonic fans that didn't get along lol. This scenario seems unlikely, though: "Wha- you like Sonic!??! Well I'm a Brony so, no friendship or consideration of your feelings for you!" Strangely enough (and only semi-related), I actually saw several comments from supposed non-Brony Zelda fans that insisted you couldn't like both MLP and Zelda. I, myself, like such a weird combination of things that incompatibility of this or that thing never came to mind. So it sounded (purely in the context of those comments) as though some Zelda fans are anti-MLP, but I think that's because just about any member of any other fandom could be anti-MLP or anti-Brony lol. People are far more devoted to finding things they "hate" rather than things they enjoy, it seems.

    True (and certainly useful / applicable in real life matters), but the original poster just kind of thrust everyone into the scenario and Equestria itself lol. So you're faced with banishment or the opportunity to start a family with somepony that you supposedly love. I went along for the ride, and assumed that 1. I really wanted to stay in Equestria (where I have no business being, honestly), 2. I really love that somepony (though the ultimatum is a bit harsh / unfair), and 3. being a "father" isn't an option for me here in the real world. Also, I mean... It was a question about whether or not you'd father an imaginary child with a cartoon pony, so... I didn't think too long about it lol. ^^; None of the above was me trying to change your stance or even me criticizing your stance; I just felt like putting that out there. Okay let me follow your logic lol: if you're human and they're an equally intelligent / speech-capable cartoon pony (that honestly doesn't resemble an actual irl pony much at all) it's a "no?" But if you yourself became a pony (that was formerly a human / presumably remembered having been a human) it's a "yes?" I'm assuming you'd still be human / your past self mentally. This isn't intended as an attack, btw; just working this out for myself.

    Well nowadays I listen mostly to J.S. Bach, video game music, and instrumental jazz. And some Scissor Sisters and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu lol. Still fond of Led Zep, Primus, Pink Floyd, and some others, as well. "I Just Want You" by Ozzy Osbourne used to be / might still be my favorite song song; hard to say. Ummm, favorite Bach pieces (from memory as I'm being lazy xD): BWV 855, Fugue #10 in E minor (from WTC Book I) BWV 1047, Brandenburg Concerto #2: 1st mvt BWV 808, English Suite #3: 1st Gavotte BWV 249, Easter Oratorio: 1st mvt Sinfonia BWV 1043, Concerto for Two Violins in D minor: 1st mvt Vivace BWV 543, Prelude & Fugue in A minor: 2nd mvt. Fugue Etc. Fave instrumental jazz-type music: Most anything by Keiko Matsui (not a song title; I just mean practically anything by her) Led Zep: 1. When the Levee Breaks 2. (possibly) Dancing Days Pink Floyd: One of My Turns (maybe) Primus: Shake Hands with Beef SS: I wish I owned all of their music lol; I'd just dance all the time. Even when "I Don't Feel Like Dancing." :3

    I'm stealing these three from :Flutterdash: lol. I don't necessarily dislike Twilight, but I think she gets a disproportionate amount of / too much screentime. Which potentially detracts from Dashie's screentime, and that is unacceptable!!1! And although I don't hardcore hate anything about the show (I think "hate" is an overused word with respect to entertainment in general), I... ...Don't especially care for the CMC. Granted, I haven't seen much of the show yet, but they strike me as rather single-minded (yes, I get it - you want your tramp stamps cutie marks), and their episodes just didn't hold as much appeal for me. And, again, they detract from Dashie's overall screentime lol. Dunno if this is unpopular or not, but I thought RD rocked the supposedly "bad" dress in "Suited for Success."

    There's no way they'd let me into Equestria lol. And if there was some mistake / paperwork error, Celestia would probably veto it herself. Also, I'm not sure how keen Rainbow Dash would be on having my child. < "The baby weight'd TOTALLY slow me down." That being said / everything outlined in the scenario considered... Why not lol? And will it produce some pegasus / centaur-type creature??!? If so, double awesome. Marriage first, though. Not because I'm old-fashioned or anything (apparently not if I'm talking about fathering a centaur with a cartoon pony), but that just feels like the way to go. And I wouldn't be concerned about what otherponies thought of our offspring, because RD would just kick their respective flanks. I'm gonna go think of baby names now...

    Even if I'm playing an especially difficult or frustrating game, I tend to just curse up a storm and keep playing lol. So I don't rage quit so much as rage-keep-playing. I've said absolutely filthy things to DK or Princess Peach when they screwed me out of a 1st place win on a tricky Mario Kart track. I started playing during the NES era, and many of those games were on the trying side (particularly when I was a kid).
