  1. I can't / don't drive and likely never will. There was one ill-fated attempt way back when I was essentially a different person. I panicked upon spotting another vehicle on the road and went into a ditch. I later realized that I would probably inadvertently kill EVERYONE were I ever to find myself behind the wheel xD.
  2. Why don't I own all of Keiko Matsui's music?!??!

  3. I dropped out of high school a million years ago (slight numerical exaggeration ), largely due to anxiety issues; attendance (however infrequent in my 10th grade year) of that school and the accompanying faculty being significant contributors to said issues. I was an almost-entirely-"A" student for years, attended classes for "gifted students," and was salutatorian in middle school. I still feel as though I was let down by the school and faculty, but I've yet to decide whether or not I let myself down. Don't recall if I've had any recently, but I've been troubled by many a back-in-school dream in the past.
  4. Just going to echo what many people have already said: EA lol. I don't respect them as a gaming company / developer, and I honestly feel as though I could go the rest of my life without ever playing another EA title. I say this despite having enjoyed Dead Space 1 and 2, but EA has consistently rubbed me the wrong way or disappointed me.
  5. I've wanted a tarot deck for a long time, and I've been leaning Rider-Waite. But now I want pony lol. I'm thinking The Chariot for Rainbow Dash.
  6. The MLP CCG plays much more like Call of Cthulhu or A Game of Thrones than it does like Yu-Gi-Oh! or MtG, so unless you're familiar with those it can be difficult figuring it out (*I'm* still figuring it out myself lol). I don't know if this will help at all (and this seems an older topic anyhow), but: Your Mane character card (you can only pick one to play with from your theme deck, if I'm not mistaken) goes into play immediately. Mane characters are double-sided, and you'll start with the close-up of their face showing (the weaker version). They can't leave play, can't be the target of certain (or perhaps any) card effects, and can be used towards "confronting" a problem (card). The "home limit" lets you know how many friends you can have at your home at one time. This isn't usually a big deal, since you can deploy friends directly to problems upon paying their respective costs. When you satisfy the conditions of a Mane card it gets flipped over, thus becoming MUCH more useful. When "frightened," a friend card gets flipped face down. When in this state, they're pretty much good for nothing. They can recover from this if you spend Action Tokens (should say how many on one of the non-playable cards included with the theme deck), but I *think* you can only do so during an early game phase (when you would also ready exhausted characters). An "exhausted" friend can not help you / contribute its power when confronting a problem (and probably not when confronting a troublemaker, either). I believe certain actions (performed by the friend card) will require that you exhaust them, and there may be other card effects that exhaust friends. If you're familiar with MtG, you know the term "tapped," and it's kinda sorta like that. I recommend simply rotating exhausted friends 90 degrees to indicate their status. Exhausted characters are readied at the beginning of your next turn. Accumulating points is a bit odd in this game. If you've got three friends with a combined power of 6 at an opponent's problem whose requirement is 6 (of whatever color / icon type), then you can confront that problem. If you're the first to confront that problem, you score its bonus points (indicated on the problem card). Every turn that you successfully confront that problem (meet its requirements), you also receive 1 point. The problem will be replaced only when both players can confront the same problem and a faceoff occurs. I'm still figuring that stuff out, but faceoffs involve comparing the power on your side of a problem to that of your opponents. No fighting occurs, and you'll never be "blocking" or picking an attack target. All of this is from memory (and, admittedly, I don't completely understand it myself). The rules could definitely use some refining. But maybe it will help; if only just a smidge xD.
  7. I haven't done much freehand lately, and apparently I've got ponies on the mind lol. This is actually a teeny drawing, as I lack a proper surface upon which to draw. I thought it bad and / or strange enough to warrant the "lols" of potential passers-by xD.
  8. That's where I gave the show a little test run, actually; though I've since cancelled the service. There was just something about having MLP in my queue when I shared the room with someone that promised to result in awkwardness xD. Which is bordering on stupid and incongruous, because I've *told* close family members about my interest in cartoon ponies. I stand trembling on the fringe of sort-of Brony-dom! I think, perhaps, Pinkie Pie frightens me somewhat lol.
  9. I don't necessarily consider myself a "Brony" and have never referred to myself as one. I've watched some video clips and seen a couple episodes of the show proper, but I just wasn't sure if it was my cup of tea. That being said, I enjoy the art style, like some of the characters, have a Funko Rainbow Dash perched on my entertainment center, and am giving serious (as serious as a guy crushing on Rainbow Dash can get lol) consideration to just buying the first season and seeing how I feel by the end of it. I know that if I buy it, I will feel an obligation to give it a real chance. Even if I DO get into the show itself, I don't think I'll label myself a Brony. Yes, I'm a guy, but "Pegasister" just... Sounds cooler to me lol. Therefore I will be a "PegaMister" *points to his user name*. I'm a tentatively aspiring pegamister.
  10. Octopuses, followed by spiders, followed by I-don't-knows lol. I do love cats, though; we get along well. Can the nigh-cosmic strangeness of the awe-inspiringly multi-talented octopus truly be done justice in MERE words!??! I say it CAN NOT! It... Probably helps that I'm a Lovecraft fan lol. Or perhaps my fondness for cephalopods bolstered my love of Lovecraft! Rapid color change / blending in with their surroundings, intelligence (problem solving and even, arguably, tool use in specific cases), crawling onto land or out of an aquarium in pursuit of prey, the ability to squeeze themselves into openings no larger than their beaks!??! Amazing. And I read that Giant Pacific octopuses in captivity had noticeably different personalities. And spiders? Oh c'mon, they're obviously beautiful, often misunderstood creatures. I know *I* can't fashion an elaborate, aerial net solely from a product of my own body (though, to be honest, I have not tried). And there are the active hunter-types as well. Jumping spiders, in particular, move like little mechanical beasts in pursuit of prey or romance (you should see the crablike mating dance a male Pantropical jumper performs), and they aren't in the least bit camera shy (they've looked right up at me whenever I had a lens pointed in their direction). And cats are... Cats lol. They're affectionate when they want to be, not simply because they saw you and you may have fed them that one time. You've got to earn it. They don't REALLY need you; they're natural scavengers. There's at least a chance they'll eat part of you if you suddenly drop dead in front of them, and I respect that. Waste not. Beautiful, agile, flexible, mysterious, ferocious-when-they-hafta-be type animals. That will... Also chase a laser pointer as though it is their greatest enemy or the tastiest prey imaginable. I wrote too much.
  11. I'd likely need a top 100 list lol. Instead, I'll just list a "few" titles and series: Super Mario (SM3DW, SMB, SMB3, NSMBU, SMS, SMG2, etc. lol) The Legend of Zelda (OoT, TP, LA, ALBW, Zelda II, also etc.) Pikmin series Kid Icarus series Mother 2 (Earthbound) Castlevania series Mega Man series (though III is my all-time fave) MH3U (I've only put, lemme think... 200 hours into it though ) Final Fantasy IV, VI, and VII (especially VI) Dragon Quest (especially V and VI) Elder Scrolls Shmups in general (Fantasy Zone, Gyruss, Gradius, Ikaruga, R-type, etc.)
  12. I have: A Funko Rainbow Dash figure (would really like the Octavia one, as well) An Apple Jack / Twilight Sparkle theme deck for the MLP CCG (I actually ordered Rainbow Dash / Rarity, but they sent me the wrong one xD) And soon I'll have: Princess Celestia and Pinkie Pie 2-pack (I was mostly after Celestia lol - though I considered a Funko Pinkie Pie) A shirt featuring a mash-up of My Little Pony and The Legend of Zelda: My Little Epona (couldn't resist) My Funko Dashie's entertainment center neighbors include: Lovecraft figures / game pieces, an Ivory Lagiacrus, Son Goku, numerous Mario figures, and a Giant Pacific octopus. They get along well enough, I think.
  13. Though I don't like to pigeonhole characters (or people) with labels like "tomboy" (and I'm not even certain how accepted the term is nowadays), RD's, for lack of a better word, "tomboyish" nature appeals to me. In MLP, in anime, in manga... There exist characters that might be regarded as tomboys or who are even purposely fitted into that particular stereotype. What I *like* about these characters is that, there inevitably arrives some point where these characters demonstrate a stereotype defying, dare I say, overtly feminine moment. A side that even THEY weren't completely aware that they had. And it's often adorable. I think said moments might look like a blush accompanied by a frown (or even scowl lol). "How dare I be cute!???!" I think that's sweet, and maybe even closer to genuine. Because none of us are just ONE thing. Don't take anything I said TOO seriously, because this is simply an impression I've developed over time.
  14. I'm not big into the labels out there (and don't necessarily fit the criteria for this or that one), so I'll just say I'm unusually fond of cartoon ponies. This preceded the recent show by, I think, a number of years, but this newer art style gifted them with anime girl eyes and made them adorable-er overall. So now I'm *really* in trouble lol. I make eyes at Rainbow Dash on occasion, but darnit she never notices!!!1! "Furry" didn't really take with me, but I have found myself drawn more to anthro horse ladies / hooved characters. I like, what I call, "creature girls." Harpies, sphinxes, Medusa (queen of them all xD), mermaids, etc. I've crushed on a number of cartoon mice; specifically Gadget Hackwrench from Rescue Rangers. My boyhood crushes were almost entirely non-human animated characters xD. I'm fonder, in general, of spiders and cats than I am of humans. I... Have fairly severe obsessive compulsive disorder. This may not sound very confession-y, but I often feel weird talking about it. I think I'm comparably more comfortable discussing my cartoon mice crushes lol. Thank you, anonymity! I'd like to cross dress just once. It's important for me to know... Would I be a Dave Foley or a Kevin McDonald of the Kids in the Hall comedy troupe? There's almost ALWAYS that one guy that can kind of pull it off xD. I fear I might even be a Terry Jones or John Cleese. Both very funny, very unconvincing "women" lol. Spam, spam, and more spam! Did I have good ones!???!? xD Wanted to quote the Cash song: "Shot a man in Reno..." But that would be lying.
  15. I don't wear it, but I often prefer women's jewelry. If anything I'm jealous because, as a male, my ring choices generally fall into one of three categories: 1. skulls, 2. eagles, 3. rings with initials on them. Not that I necessarily have anything against skulls or eagles or my initials, but c'mon! I like jade, amber, peridot, pearl, and blue turquoise. My feet have been known to cross dress lol; I like colorful socks. Hello Kitty is undeniably adorable, and I used to own both a Hello Kitty watch and PEZ dispenser. Though green is my favorite color, my second fave is pastel pink. I own some (and would like to own more) Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura manga. The Sailor Moon thing may not be the best example, however, since I have some boyish-type affection for the Sailor Scouts . Where do smooth jazz and J-pop fall on the girly scale??!? Kyary Pamyu Pamyu gets a wub face, too . Personally, I think gender roles are nonsense. No one should be able to tell you what you can and can't like. Not saying you can't be a manly man or a girly girl, but you shouldn't be expected to be either. Yeah, even as I was replying to the topic I was thinking more or less the same thing lol. If I had to define "girly," it would be based almost entirely on my perception of what the consensus perception was of something. So... My perception of... A perception.
  16. Your avatar is all kinds of awesome; I'd like to "brohoof" any and all Lovecraft fans. And there was talk of WayForward (an indie developer I quite admire) genuinely wanting to develop an MLP-based video game. I'd like something on Wii U; perhaps a Rainbow Dash-centric shmup xD.
  17. I often eat standing up (think I saw a poster with a similar habit) and am uncomfortable with touching certain foods. I have accomplished impressive feats with inappropriate utensils: sawing apart a piece of toast with a spoon, eating a chicken thigh after having plunged a spoon into it, etc. I DO wash utensils, but I will go completely out of my way to avoid doing it immediately prior to a meal (difficult to get the dish washing liquid smell and substance off of my hands). I will add tuna to just about anything. Or green olives. Or mix tuna and green olives in with rice. Also like peanut butter and banana sandwiches, peanut butter and green olive sandwiches (yes really), and black licorice (which is unrelated to the sandwich category lol). I have an inexplicable desire to eat as many different animals as possible xD. I've consumed alligator (I enjoyed it), and I discovered I adore anchovies (they're good in rice, on bread, or on a cheese-less pizza). I WILL NOT eat octopus as they are immeasurably awesome, and I wouldn't consume horse because reasons.
  18. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: I trod the path called Google. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I'm not sure that I am lol? I find the art style appealing, and I'm fond of select characters. I'd say I'm at that crossroads that every man (pony?) inevitably encounters: SHOULD I watch MLP:FIM? My interests / tastes are a bit on the eclectic side. I love: The writings of H.P. Lovecraft. Totally missed an opportunity to "brohoof" a forum member with a Lovecraft sig. The musical compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach. In particular, the English Suites, The Well-Tempered Clavier, and the Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin. And everything else, practically xD. Tuna fish and green olives. Sometimes together! Colorful cartoon ponies, apparently. Instrumental jazz. Video games. Specifically Nintendo, more specifically Super Mario. I've played and completed hundreds of games (yes, I keep a detailed list). Collectible card games. Recently purchased a theme deck for the MLP CCG. It plays kind of like the Call of Cthulhu and A Game of Thrones card games. Really lol. Octopuses and spiders and cats, oh my! Making long boring lists... Anime / manga. Akira is my favorite film of all time, and Idunno what my favorite manga is. Possibly Dragon Ball, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, or Yu-Gi-Oh! Drawing, I SUPPOSE. Writing, on a good day. Cooking, on a hungry day. Greek mythology. Medusa, cyclops, harpies... I already did the "oh my" bit... Other things that don't immediately occur to me lol.
  19. Forum member: I am without one. Pony: Rainbow Dash, and it's bordering on infatuation xD. Also Octavia; it impresses me that she can play the cello without any fingers. There are surely more, but I digress. IRL human person: ALL Japanese women lol. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say (currently) Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
