    For me, it was not a specific moment in the show, but in my personal path to becoming a huge pony person that made me realize that Applejack is best pony. Forgive what may seem like a tangent; I'll get to AJ, I promise. But when I first started watching the show; Pinkie Pie was totally my favorite. This started from the first episode I ever saw; "Maud Pie" (Eeyup; I'm pretty new to the herd.) I think this was because she's actually the pony who most reminds me of myself, and I was looking for something to relate to in the show. Over the course of about 2 weeks, I binge watched the entire series to that point, and was still a Pinkie gal. Then, with no new (to me) shows to watch, still loving those crazy, candy colored equines; I began rewatching episodes. The second time around I payed a bit more attention to detail since I already knew the basic plot (no pun intended.) During this time period, I slowly noticed that Applejack was just there quietly being awesome the whole time. When I put 2&2 together and realized how much she reminds me of my wife (who also has a country background and is hard working but stubborn) it was over. Since then I've been an AJ girl tried and true.

    Seriously headed into work and won't be on for about5 hours But before I go... I can't believe nopony's brought up Sleep Depp AJ from Applebuck Season and awesom AJ episode all around and the muffin baking scene was priceless!

    I believe for the purposes of this poll tales is considered g2. It is g2 when breaking the generations down by the show and only part of g1 when breaking the generations down specifically by the toys

    Group of Death for me was between A and G... I went with A; only 2 can advance to the knockout stages so between Sweetie Belle, Luna, and Trixie, somepony's gonna be left out. No offense to Shining Armour Fans; but I don't see him standing a chance. My dark horse isn't a horse at all, but a Zebra... Look for Zecora to make some waves... No sure f she'll get past AJ or Chrissy to get to the next stage; but it'll be close. And while I like her personally, I think Derpy will end up saying "I just don't know what went wrong?" When all is said and done I see Rarity and Spitfire advancing from group E. As I said, I'm a Derpy fan, but I've seen no activity lately from her fan club and remember a recent Sugar Cube corner poll where a lot of ponies seemed to disagree with me.

    My newest addition to my collection wasn't technically a purchase either... It was a present from my wife for "no particular reason" Isn't she sweet? She got me a Sunset Shimmer brushable Which is awesome because I collect brushables and didn't have this one yet; YAY! She even took some pics with her cat, The Waif, and my new pony figure which I turned into a small "comic' called.... Sunset Shimmer VS. The Waif [spoiler] Edit: Apparantly; I don't know how to do spoilers, sorry.. Also, clicking on the comic makes it much easier to read

    Yes, I voted Nightmare moon in a Friendly for my wife's sake; But Pinkie is my 3rd favorite, and the Pony who most reminds me of myself So when the matches count... My Party Cannon will be "Locked and Loaded!"

    I'm probably showing my age here; But definitely and original for me! I love AJ's song for their classic country feel and the delightful voice Ashleigh Ball uses when singing as her; just the right amount of Twang! And most of the remixes I've seen are electronica or tehcno; which I don't particularly care for. Again, I'm also a decade or 2 older than most folks on this site so I could be a generational thing.

    Gen 1 hands down... While not as well rounded as G4, it did have the darkest moments in all of mlp... Plus instead of being marketed to just girl, it was marketed to both all genders; One of the ways that FIM went back to roots on and only benefited from.
