Sunset will become a princess when she marries Twily. ♥ Wings and a horn alone do not an alicorn make. An alicorn is a blend of all three kinds of pony.

I don't think Starlight Glimmer and her followers established the village. I think the village was there, and she took it over, and further buildings were added. The conversion cottage may have been one of the pre-existing structures.

A few months ago there were a lot of theories that it would be the CMCs to defeat "Mayor Marx" (as she was then being referred to) because blank flanks would be the only ponies she'd be powerless against. However, I don't think your idea will happen. The CMCs don't really get involved with adventures and villains — they only tend to have slice of life plots. The voice actress for Diamond Tiara did mention that we'd be getting to see another side of Diamond soon though.

I'd say that's hinting the opposite — that she'll stay in the human world because she feels at home there. As much as I'd love Sunset Shimmer to return to Equestria, I can't see it happening soon. That said, season 6 is apparently as good as confirmed (presumably in 2016), and season 7 (2017) and 8 (2018) are tentatively planned, and there's a film planned in 2017 too. So perhaps the film could be used as a way to get Sunset back into Equestria? Imagine: season 7 finale, they destroy the big bad guy, and then just as they're all celebrating, last few seconds of the season, there's a flash of light and Sunny's standing there. Says something like, "listen up, girls, Equestria's in big trouble", then cue theme song. Then the film has Sunny helping out the mane 6 with whatever problem she came to warn them about. Along the way she resolves her problems with Celestia, and she decides to return to Equestria. Then in season 8 she's a regular character, perhaps Twilight's faithful student. (And if it were up to me, she'd also be Twilight's waifu.)

Well, obviously it would never pop up in the show. But until something happens that directly contradicts it, it's the explanation that I subscribe to.

Miscarriage is pretty common though — nobody knows exactly how common because plenty of foetuses are miscarried before the parents are even aware that they were expecting a baby. It might be as high as one in three pregnancies that end in miscarriage. Without going into details, it's a topic I have some personal experience with. Let's just leave it at that. Miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant deaths could be the explanation for the fact that there are a lot of background ponies that don't have equivalents in the human world, and background humans that don't have equivalents in Equestria. Champagne for my real friends; real pain for my sham friends. (This also works for shampoo and shamrocks.)

In my headcanon there never was a real human Sunset — she was miscarried before she was born.

Night Glider was pretty gorgeous looking. She's got that swept hair look that a lot of the female Wonderbolts seem to have. Potential Wonderbolt recruit? Sugar Belle was cute. Kind of lazy naming from the writers — sugar is sweet(ie). Party Favor was kind of funny. I liked all the balloon things. Double Diamond was pretty cool once he got his skis back. Overall my vote is for Night Glider. You know, I thought that too. Or rather, her colour scheme was better once she got her cutie mark back, but her hairstyle was better when she was equal.

In my ideal world, they'd let Twilight Sparkle have a bit more character development as a princess and move beyond the role of a student to one of a teacher and leader. Then Sunset could return to Equestria and Twilight could take her on as her personal student, like Twilight had been to Celestia. (Though I don't think Sunny should be the squealing fangirl type student that Twilight was. A more balanced master/apprentice relationship would be better.) That way Sunset could have a major role in the show, but without disturbing the current Mane 6 dynamic. And of course, eventually she would marry my self-insert OC. (We were talking about my ideal world, right?)
