  1. Well, yeah, it IS ridiculous but that's the point. Most superhero team names are a bit silly and I'd expect no less from a team featuring a female Jolly Green Giant, a tattooed bald man, a walking tree, and a talking raccoon.
  2. I've seen all or David Fincher's films thus far: - Alien 3 (1992): A mixed bag. - Se7en (1995): A bona-fide classic - The Game (1997): Under-appreciated thriller - Fight Club (1999): Another classic - Panic Room (2002): Underrated home invasion movie
  3. Guess Who's Coming to Diner (1967) - An admittedly questionable, but entertaining and well-meaning comedy about prejudice and internal biases. 7.5 out of 10.
  4. I watched Dr. Strangelove. A brilliant satire about war and the military industry complex.
  5. It appears that even when 2020 gives us a good thing, it comes with strings attached.
  6. The Former Jeopardy! Host Alex Trbek has passed away at the age of 80 of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
  7. Meet John Doe (1941) - Excellent film by Frank Capra.
  8. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) - A classic political drama about a U.S. Senator who endures smears and the daily grind of politics to expose corruption.
  9. Note: I set the poll date and now I have to redo the thread. Apologies for the inconvenience. Will try again later.
  10. While not without its flaws, I think Season 9 did a good job of ending the series the way it began: a funny, weird, and heartfelt show with a lot of feelong.
  11. After much delay, I've put up my final poll for the final season of Friendship is Magic. EDIT: I screwed something up with the poll and I'm going to half to make another damn thread to fix it. So sorry for the inconvenience.
  12. I watched two documentaries: "The Trial of Henry Kissinger" and "Who Killed the Electric Car?"
  13. - Newbie Dash - Dragon Quest - The Mysterious Mare Do Well - Spike at Your Service - Putting Your Hoof Down
  14. The Trials of Henry Kissinger (2002) - A compelling, if somewhat embellished, account about the eponymous diplomat from Christopher Hitchens. 9 out of 10.
  15. Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - In my personal opinion, the best adaptation of the novel. Strong performances (Keanu Reeves' accent notwithstanding), gorgeous cinematography, strong direction from Francis Ford Coppola, powerful music, and it has an overblown theatricality that makes it very fun to watch. 8.5 out of 10.
  16. Gotta go with Sombra, if only for his vindictive cruelty and delight in making others suffer. But not too far behind is Queen Chrysalis.
  17. I watched the Nightmare on Elm Street trilogy (aka the only movies in the series worth watching): 1. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) 2. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors (1987) 3. Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
