    (read the following in the Simpsons comic book guy voice) She cannot be called crystal flank because diamonds are macromolecules with an atomic lattice structure. Crystals on the other hand are molecules that have aligned based off of the various charges present around them due to their structure and composition.

    Yeah, that was the "white iPhone fiasco". Kids were threatening to kill their parents because they got the black/silver iPhones instead of the white one. Sad.

    "oh wow! This does look pretty good!" I was in denial for years tho. My real awakening was more like: "Netflix is dropping my little pony! NOOOOOOOOOO! " That's when I had to admit it to myself. An hour later I had joined the poniverse and here, of course.

    Back in my day we had to write our OWN videogames! And the few games we had, we had to write code and wait five minutes just to get to the title screen. No kids these days will have load"*",8,1 or sys49152 burned in to their brains. Also had to walk 15 miles to school in 3 feet of snow, uphill, both ways! Joking aside, yeah I think each generation since the 1950's has been more spoiled than the previous generation. I don't ow exactly why, but it does seem like a general cultural trend to be either lazier and to be more selfish (easy to have the TV raise the child so young parents can still play like they used to).

    General discussion type here, although I am a bit of a wallflower. I would be active in the RP threads, but I simply do not understand how they work... Anypony wanna run a DnD edition 2 rule set RP that takes place in Equestria? Or something to that effect. I don't get howit is currently handled...

    "Mary Sue" and author insertion are not the same thing. And my Mary sue comment was directed at if they continued the series beyond that point (otherwise it wouldn't be too too bad, but still "happily ever after is a generally horrible way to end a story") . If they ended the series that way, I would be fine with it. But continuing after with "perfect" characters would make for a "Le sigh" from me, and I am sure plenty of others.

    The in world logic may be sound, but by the end of the day it is a series of stories written by writers. The urge to prevent a massive "Mary Sue" event is too strong. Good story telling typically does not have "and they all lived (as alicorns) happily ever after.".

    Theramin! Those sounds will mesmerize any soldier! Ok, really tho. The blunderbuss. Really simple and very nasty short range gun. Usually loaded with anything except actual shot. How about 20 iron nails flying at you at the speed of sound? Yum!

    I understand. It would not be ideal. I love the mlp universe as is presented! I would be heart broken if the OPs conditions were true. But outside of my love of this idealized equestria, it would still be a whole new world to explore. You would literally be an astronaut who makes first contact with another intelligent species! I cannot imagine that would be a horrid affair! Screw Armstrong! He collected rocks... Meh. And yes, I would truly be heartbroken... (where is MY Fluttershy!?)

    Why the negativity? Yeah, so it wouldn't be exactly like the show, but it would be an entirely NEW world to explore! Has Anypony here ever had the opportunity to explore a completely foreign world? No. My 2 bits.

    So, what you are saying is that I get there and discover that it is a realistic world like ours, but looks like the cartoon world we see? My response: "phew! Now on to discover this world. I need to see what makes it tick. I would get to discover whole new and foreign (to me) cultures and meet many new ponies." Count me in! Edit: also digging the vision quest thing. That would be an awesome episode idea for a CMC based ep. It makes so much sense on so many levels. It needs to be in some fanfics!

    Mystery and intrigue. Plus, I can easily see why some ponies fall for vinyl scratch, especially if they are in to music. Maybe some of us see something in themselves in these background ponies. Also, equestria feels almost like it could be a real place, and we want to get to know all the ponies. My opinions: now back to chores that are keeping me from mlpforums...

    I get that theme stuck in my head an awful lot! I dunno how well it would mesh with the show tho, and may confuse small children in to thinking they are watching the movie, maybe? I wouldn't hate it if they used that theme tho. (love the "scratching/skipping" effect especially!)

      Thank you! And I also need to do more with my profile. This forum is almost set up like a Facebook sort of thing, and I find myself looking at many pony's profiles to "see behind the curtain". This is the first forum where I have really done that.

    Gender is one's identity, sex is their physical body. I think the OP meant "are you happy with the physical sex of your body" ie the old "do you feel like a girl/woman but have a male body" and vice versa. At least that is how I took the meaning of the OP.

    I can't answer your poll because there is no option for "I was born in a male body, but always knew that was wrong and as the years grew on, it hurt me more, so I ponied up and with a lot of trepidation at first. A lot of fright. A lot of looking in to myself. A lot of jumping through hoops because this society thinks gender and birth sex are the same thing. A lot of work. A lot of fighting stereotyps and bigots. And a lot of money handed over to a specialist surgeon in Montreal; I am finally able to be myself and the crushing weight has been lifted. I was finally born". Can you add that poll option so I can vote? Also, for any ponies here who have had serious feelings about possibly being transgendered, shoot me a PM if you want. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about my personal experience with transition. I wear my soul on my sleeve (literally now!). Or just hit me up to chat with a kindred spirit.
