I feel like Rarity stole Twilight's role as a detective. Far as I'm concerned detective work is more about intelligence, reading books and being somewhat of a nerd on details. Perhaps Twilight and Rarity could work on a case together... though that might not happen as you always need a quirky enthusiastic but not so serious sidekick with the detective (Pinkie or Rainbow Dash for example.)

I suppose they're making it out so magic can exist either from Equestria and in the human world (the mane five seemed to have magic that they used to protect Twilight). I think it'd be important to give a magic using villain who's originally from earth to show that they do need magic after all.

I can kind of see that. There's also that hippie pony forgot her name that would be Fluttershy's friend.

This is the Green/White Ranger syndrome all over again. The Power Rangers had Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Black Rangers, but then when the Green/White Ranger came into the scene all the focus of the show came on him as well as all the popularity.

If I somehow became a teenager again and went to a high school I would like to go to that school. Cool magic adventures and the mane six! Of course it won't go for me as planned in the show but hey, this just presents a possibility of the other Equestria world existing and magic flowing from there as well. With my knowledge of MLP I might actually get around to getting to do things I want.

It's a good start on taking them out of the school into the woods for once. What location could Equestria Girls expand upon on the geographical lore for the human world?

This episode coming right after Gilda kind of made me think whoa there's a lot of annoying villains in this series but that's good, a villain should be someone you should hate a lot and Faust did a good job designing Trixie and Gilda to do what they do best, being mean and arrogant.

For the 5th episode of the whole series this was a big slap in the face. Gilda was a real beeeeeeitch.

Rainbow Dash I guess. Of course this means her name should be changed too. It just didn't settle well with me that she has a rainbow mane and tail because rainbow colors is a bit too much for the eyes. EDIT: Gaudy was the word I was looking for.

You got a point. The only redeeming factor of Pinkie Pie is she's always happy, upbeat, positive and other than that she needs to learn some self-control. But you always need a character with ADHD for kids.

High chance that's where Faust got the inspiration for the name. It's like how Fluttershy name came from Flutter ponies, from watching some old G1 cartoon the queen/princess or whatever of the Flutter ponies looked just like Fluttershy.

I see the word "shipping" something done between characters that aren't canon. The shippings I've seen in this fandom are so ridiculous I doubt any of them is close to becoming canon. I just don't understand shipping between ponies, I can kind of understand between humans or even anthropomorphic animals but ponies that walk on four legs? Kind of hard to imagine I suppose.

I don't care about M.A. Larson. I'd rather he wasn't working in My Little Pony. He made those two messes of episodes of one Twilight Sparkle becoming an alicorn and SoL. Two episodes I wish I could erase from my memory.

Why do people care so much about how fast Rainbow Dash is? I really don't care. I mean I'm sure Bugs Bunny has broken way over that speed, couldn't that bunny travel all the way to China in a matter of seconds while digging?

Well it could mean Pinkie wasn't the first happy party pony in her family, there may have been other roots that wasn't a boring gray rock pony where Pinkie could have gotten her traits from.

Plus if they were to make it out for Starlight there was a crucial detail missing... where was Sunburst? Wasn't the whole reason she went evil was because Sunburst left? Shouldn't the writers have capitalized on this?

I think it'll take some really steep set of episodes that all connect each other to separate Scootaloo from the rest of the CMC now that their destinies are all intertwined. That sounds like it would take a spin-off just for Scootaloo and doubt that would happen nor would it be very profitable.

Why even have a whole group of ponies work at all? Just get Discord to run everything he can finish all their chores and work in 5 minutes flat.

How does any of this explain Luna's importance in tradition being absent for a very traditional event in Canterlot of a wedding of her niece? Until it's described in the cartoon it will remain non-canon regardless of the author. The cartoon and the books/comics run on different continuity until information crosses over and is mentioned in the original source-the cartoon. You can tell me this is so in the Comics/Books whatever section but none of that is relevant to this conversation because this is the "SHOW" Discussion therefore nothing on the books or comics are canon until the show has shown this. So Cadance could have been an earth pony or unicorn before her alicornization not just pegasus.
