Sounds like you've heard some really shitty Power Metal. Not all of it is cheesy, you know and loads it is just incredibly creative and interesting, not like shit like Sabaton, who are boring as hell. And Dream Theater... yeah, I guess they are very overrated but they are very talented musicians, they just don't always put their skills into writing good music.

Power Metal is the best sub genre of Metal. It's just a shame that the most famous Power Metal bands are boring as hell, the really interesting and creative ones aren't really well known. John Myung's skills as a bassist are far more impressive than John Petrucci's skills as a guitarist. I just wish they'd turn Myungs's bass up. Dream Theater is a little overrated, just a little. Electric bass is far more interesting than electric guitar. I just wish it was valued more and turned up louder in lots of bands, you can do amazing things on a bass but in so many bands the bassist just writes some boring crap because they know it'll just be turned down low in the background so why bother writing anything good? Damn shame. Oh, and Megadeth is so overrated it isn't even funny. Dave Mustaine sounds like a cat being strangled with razor wire and his guitar playing is pretty good, nothing special. I still enjoy some of their stuff, though.

I go there for /tg/ mostly as I enjoy the discussions on that board, many of which are about Warhammmer 40k, which I am a huge fanboy of. There's nothing NSFW there. I also go to /b/ sometimes as you can stumble across a good thread now and again, and very rarely, an amazing thread, but most of /b/ is just crappy You X You Lose threads with people posting the same content over and over again and. That being said, I do enjoy the dark humor you can come across.

Quite a while ago, I would have given myself a 4/10, maybe a 5/10, but since I hardly ever post anymore and quite a few more people have joined I'd say about 2/10. I should probably start posting again.

I used to post all of the time, but for quite a while I've only been posting about once every two weeks. I just can't really be bothered posting. I do enjoy reading others` posts though.

Bass guitar. There are lots of different ways you can play a bass guitar and lots of great sounds you can get from one. My favourite kind of bass guitar is the 8 string, which has little strings placed above the regular strings that are normally tuned an octave higher to get a sweet sound when you strike both strings at once. I also love fretless bass guitars.

I've been banned from halo.wikia.com eight times. The mods there are terrible and just ban you for things you really shouldn't be banned for. This is a shame because the regular members are really cool. Oh well, it's been a few years since I visited that site and I don't plan on going back.
