Those are very good names! there is no problem in letting your thoughts simmer. You can use one of those names, and if you ever think of something better, you can change it. My OC had gone through several major changes from his name to his profession since I created him. The only thing left is the cutie mark, which is kind of the culmination of everything else. People often make the cutie mark directly related to the talent, but you can also base it off her personality or name. So, if you name her Vanilla Swirl, you can have a vanilla flower (which when I think about, would work very well with her color scheme), or you can work a swirl shape into the design. Maybe you combine the talent with the name and do something like a pencil drawing a swirl (if you decide to make drawing her talent. The only thing I should tell you as a warning, is that you should not make it too complicated. When it comes to cutie marks, simplicity works well.

Alright, that's good. Drawing or magic. So what I would do next is to decide on a name. You can name her anything, but the common thing is to name an OC based off of her talent, or her personality. Do you want it to be a two-word name, or a one-word name? Brainstorm adjectives related to her personality and words related to her talent.

That's a good start. Let's figure out what her talent is. Deciding on a talent is the easy part. Choose one of those things she is good at/likes to do and focus in that for her talent. You've got some options because you've given her several things she likes to do. It can also be related to how she interacts with other ponies.

An Uncharted/Laura Croft style game but with Indiana Jones. It would work very well considering both Nathan Drake and Laura Croft are heavily influenced by Indiana Jones. Or an MLP game in the style of the lego games. By that I mean that you progress through a story by going through levels solving puzzles and fighting bad guys. You would be able to unlock different characters to re-play levels as, different characters would have different abilities you need to solve those puzzles so there is a reason to switch characters, there would be collectibles so there would be a reason to re-play levels, and you could play local co-op.

Yeah I get that, but to be fair I would imagine that the fictional America in "idiocracy" probably also has an broken education system. My answer still stands. And I actually don't think our country is becoming an idiocracy. Sure, there are plenty of ignorant idiots, but there are also plenty of smart, reasonable people who are trying their best. Even though I don't like the current state of my country, I haven't lost hope for my country or the human race.

This ^^. I think the solution is education, and the United States has a very broken education system. The first step to solving a problem is recognizing and understanding it, and we can't do that if people don't have a decent education.
