  1. Oh yeah! That reminds me, I like Ever After High too, both for how nice the dolls look and the fantasy aspect. The fact that they're based on various fairy tales just really appeals to me for some reason. I'm not personally a fan of Monster High because I don't like creepy things but I do love how detailed and fashionable they are. I know that there are male fans of both franchises (one of them happens to be one of my favourite YouTubers) but they are predominantly seen as girls toys so it would be nice to see more male fans.
  2. To comment upon what others have said, I don't like the idea of mostly male fandoms, but it would be nice to see more male fans of Hello Kitty simply because she's almost universally perceived as the definition of "girliness". According to society, boys aren't supposed to like Hello Kitty. It's a girls thing, but why is that? Are boys not supposed to like cute things? That's what I like about the brony fandom. Yeah, some guys give it a bad name, but it almost makes it socially acceptable to for males to like MLP. If only Hello Kitty had the same level of acceptance. Even if it did, however, I think a gender-neutral fandom would be better because that would project the idea that Hello Kitty is for anyone. (which she should be) If it were mostly male, it may take on a more deviant perception by those outside of the fandom, as has happened with bronies. Also, there's something that I think separates Hello Kitty from the other toy lines mentioned in this thread and that's the fact that it's already considered normal for adult women to like her and thus, she already has a bit of a fandom. It just needs more males to balance it out. I just doubt that it will ever happen because for one thing, she's just an image, a face. There are figures and toys made in her likeness but she has very little established personality and background and though she does have a show, it's not very well known and, in my opinion, it's not very good. It would need a serious reboot to gain any kind of substantial male following.
  3. I voted for Littlest Pet Shop and Hello Kitty. I like LPS and I've always hoped it would generate a large teenager/adult following akin to bronies but it didn't happen and I have to admit, I'm a bit of a fan of that little white feline. She's just so cute.
  4. My favourite Equestria Girls doll that I've bought is the only one I've bought so far, Rainbow Rocks Fluttershy. I think she looks really uh... groovy, so to speak. Here's some pictures I took of her. I plan to get more dolls later.
  5. I joined some time around uh... let's see... October 3, 2011. Nah, I guess I'm not a vet.
  6. Just bought my ticket to BronyCon! Woo! Now to save up for the the flight and hotel...

@JRex95, I'm a bit late because up until now I wasn't sure if I'd be able to go. I wish I could have started planning earlier so I could room with someone and save some money. Oh well.

I wish I had money to buy a ticket(s). I won't need to pay travel/hotel fees though since I live within driving distance of Baltimare.

  7. Look what I just got! http://i.imgur.com/5PEsnFQ.jpg Here are some test pics I took before the battery died. http://imgur.com/a/tDj9x

  8. until

I hope I can make it but I doubt it. I'll probably be out of town during that time, unfortunately.
  9. I just bought some pony ears From PandaKittyStudios on Etsy. You can also find wings and other cosplay accessories there and what's great about Etsy is that it's pretty much all hand-made so if you want to cosplay as your OC, you could possibly get commissions.
  10. I'll probably do what I did last year (or maybe the year before), eat muffins. I might try delivering letters too. When I went to BronyCon in 2013 there was a Derpy Hooves cosplayer going around handing out envelopes labeled "To: You". They were sealed with a heart shaped sticker and contained nice handwritten letters. This was mine: Writing letters like that and handing them out to random people seems like a good way to celebrate the occasion and show people you care at the same time.
  11. Lol, nope. Why, do I look like him?
  12. I posted a status a while ago about buying some Apple Bloom pony ears. Well, they finally arrived! Here is a little unboxing/review I put together: So, as you can see on the box, I bought them from Panda Kitty Studios on Etsy. They were wrapped in pink tissue paper. And here they are! Here's what I look like wearing them. (I didn't feel like taking a picture of my face, so this is all you get) The headband is a bit small for my head but it stretches easily and it's covered with a cloth material so it looks good and doesn't scratch my head. The ears are decently sized and great quality. They seem to be made out of felt and have some kind of rigid support inside them so they're not floppy. The whole thing is sewn together except part of the ears which are glued. Overall, I love them and I'd recommend Panda Kitty Studios for anyone who wants great quality and decently priced cosplay accessories.
  13. I just got Sweetie Drops and Skywishes too! I was excited to get them because it's not often that Hasbro releases new brushable ponies these days. Most of them are just different versions of the mane six. Also, those cutie marks... I know there have been other G4 ponies with multiple cutie marks on their legs but these look like they became a virus and started spreading all over the place. They remind me of these G1 ponies from the "Twice as Fancy" series: By the way, I know Sweetie Drops is her official name but I still find it odd that they don't go ahead and rename her Bon Bon since that's what everyone knows her as.
  14. Finally got my taxes done! Woohoo!

yay! I've never had to do taxes, but I hear they make satan cry. :P

Yeah, congrats! For once, I didn't put it off until the last minute either xD

  15. I think she loves plants and animals. I think I remember there being a scene where she said something about flora and fauna. Also, she goes beyond hugging trees. She wants to be a tree so that's got to count, right?
  16. Fans aren't the only ones who see her as a hippie. Hasbro does too! Here's the box art from an EG Fluttershy doll I recently bought. (excuse the bad scanner quality)
  17. I'm so excited! I just bought these AB cosplay ears and I can't wait to wear them. (I'll probably look ridiculous but I don't care!) https://img1.etsystatic.com/047/0/7965790/il_570xN.678483637_4tgx.jpg

get a big red bowtie, then we can talk x)

I actually almost considered a full cosplay, but then I realized how ridiculous that would look. Think about it, a 27 year old guy in a red, shoulder length wig with a big red bow. I think I'll stick to the ears.

It would be cool to wear a CMC cape though...

  18. That was actually pretty good (considering all the negative press about bronies) and you look awesome, bro! You can find me in about 2 seconds of John DeLancie's Brony documentary, but I didn't look nearly as cool as you. I'm jealous! To answer your question, I would love to be shown on TV, but only if it's not embarrassing, and I'm a bit shy, so I'd probably rather be some guy in the background walking by.
  19. So, I took the advice of someone earlier in this thread and bought some arm warmers. I wasn't sure if I would like them or if they would be big enough but surprisingly, not only are they big enough, but they can go all the way over my elbows if I stretch them out. They're also really soft, comfy, and warm. They're purple and somewhat "girly" looking by society's standards, so I'm a bit hesitant to wear them in public, but I did wear them under a hoodie once while shopping. For some reason it felt kind of exciting, especially when people noticed them. If anyone is interested, I bought them at Sockdreams.com. (which has tons of cute socks as well)
