  1. Should it be allowed? Yes, of course it should. But that's a very different question from the one that matters, which is, "Will it happen?" To which my answer would be no. Hasbro is a corporate entity that has to be wary of turning off any demographic, and the best way to do that is to steer well clear of topics that are even moderately controversial. And beyond that, it is a kid's show; so in my view it is best to limit romantic facets of all types of relationships, be they hetero-, homo-, or bisexual, to some degree and keep them out of the spotlight.
  2. That is not how it works. Background ponies only exist to fill space and never do anything ever, except for one-off gags and one particular episode. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon actually had a part to play, they were important to the stories of central characters. Background ponies are and were important to nobody.
  3. I personally love these two, as is probably obvious. But I am disappointed that for whatever reason they seem to have been cast aside with no intention of using them, it has been three seasons now. Why reform them at all if you have no plan for their future? Every other reformed character (sans Gilda, who did send Gabby in the first place) has been recurring and important. But Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon? All they get anymore is the rare background non-speaking appearance, and lately not even that. You'd think with how important in the CMC's story they were that they would get some interaction and run with them, but they don't. I just don't understand why they were thrown away as if they were one-off antagonists of no importance like the Diamond Dogs when they aren't. And I can't think of any reason that doesn't disappoint me or frustrate me as a fan of the two. Do you have any ideas why they've done nothing? Do you want them to return?
  4. Four hundred fifty-seven thousand one hundred and eighty-seven
  5. I don't particularly think the length of shows matters. Lots of people like to claim that shows that run long always get worse at some point, but I don't believe this is true. Shows wax and wane over time, MLP has done it just in eight seasons. In my opinion, the trend was upwards until season 4, a massive valley for season 5, a slight rebound in season 6, and a continued rebound over the past two seasons. If it were extended for a considerable number of additional seasons, say five, I'm sure there'd be another valley in there somewhere. BUT, and this is key, a downturn does not have to be permanent, shows are perfectly capable of rebounding and are capable of suddenly loosing the magic when everything had implied that they were still improving. What I'm saying is that I'll take all the pony I can get and that Hasbro deems profitable, and nothing about how much more that is will necessarily be negative for the quality.
  6. She's great, and the second best of the Mane Six. I love her competitiveness and ego, as these are traits I can see myself in. She's also a guaranteed good episode when she appears, which is a great plus. Also, she's the colorful-est pony of all colorful ponies, what's not to love?
  7. I would imagine that there is an as-yet unrevealed story to be told for her, and making her a child both is fresh for the show and makes it easier to paint her in a sympathetic light later. It is headcanon-y, but I've a feeling there's a reason that her parents weren't seen or even spoken of yet. I bet they've got something to do with her lifepath and ideology and will play a role later, which only really works with a kid.
  8. Diamond Tiara is my favorite pony and has been for a very long time. For a short while after I started watching, it was Sweetie Belle, but that soon changed and hasn't since, though SB is still second. At first I sympathized with her because of some of the ridiculously vitriolic comments I saw directed towards her, asking for torture, death or worse, when she was still an antagonist. But with Ponyville Confidential (my favorite ep), I saw something more in her that I loved. She was determined to succeed in her role, and was willing to do anything to achieve it. Now, maybe the blackmail was too far, but to be fair, the CMC came up with a popular idea and then tried to back out, which would've hurt DT and her paper so I didn't blame her too much. Then the episode tried to place all the blame on her and I was even more sympathetic. Later came Flight to the Finish (and more sympathy-garnering hate towards her), and Twilight Time (Which further cemented her as a more complex pony than given credit for in my eyes). And of course COTLM proved she was an awesome pony. I've been fully on Team DT is Best Pony for a long time and am not getting off. There are other reasons that I sympathized and identified with her as a villain which I'd rather not discuss.
  9. I don't care either way, but it doesn't seem like the writers think so, and theirs is the opinion that matters. It seems romance is for side characters that don't need much focus.
  10. As far as other pony things about me, I ADORE Diamond Tiara. Best pony! Then, Now, Forever. I am her biggest fan, and I defy anyone to challenge me on that. I also love Pinkie Pie and the CMC, as well as Silver Spoon and Princess Cadance. Not a big fan of most of the rest of the Mane Six except for RD. And Yona is best Student Six. Best Episode for Me: Ponyville Confidental Worst Episode for Me: Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep
