Rushing cash

After chapter 5, my top 5 are: 1. Pipp 2. Posey 3. Misty 4. Sunny 5. Zipp

I think it was the best chapter everything considered. The animation looks pleasant at this point and the story is pretty interesting. Misty had so much development it really puts everyone else to shame, she was clearly the main focus of the chapter. Opaline did very little so far, I thought her power from last chapter will mean more but apparently not, at least it seems that in the last episode she is actually doing something and has a plan going forward. I'm interested in what they will do with Posey, she had more focus in the last 2 episodes than she did after C1 combined by a country mile, good to see that she did not change much . Sunny still needs more development though, she barely got anything since chapter 2.

The more I see from the show, the more I like Pipp (she already was my favorite after the movie). In TYT I suppose she is tied with Posey.

I liked this as a stand alone episode, I liked how the 5 acted while being influenced by Opaline, Pipp totally rocked. But if this how Misty joins the good guys than I'm immensely disappointed. I hope in MYM we get something more satisfying, it deserves at least a 20 minute episode with some proper build up. Lets see where MYM C4 starts, maybe they won't acknowledge it or twist it somehow.

I agree, while most seems too not like it I always found this entertaining. The tune is catchy and while the singing is off on purpose it goes well with the episode, the atmosphere and has charm to it.

The series had a plethora of great songs, what season in your opinion was the best in this aspect? You can choose multiple season but if you have a clear winner than vote just for it. Some highlights for me: Season 1: At the gala and winter wrap up (we all liked some of pinkies mini songs too ). Season 2: Becoming Popular, The Flim Flam Brothers, Smile Song and This Day Aria. Season 3: The Ballad of the Crystal Empire, Babs Seed and What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me. Season 4: Bats, Glass of Water, Apples to the Core, Pinkies rap song and You'll Play Your Part. Season 5: In Our Town, Make This Castle a Home, some Crusaders of the Lost Mark songs and The Magic Inside. Season 6: some A Hearth's Warming Tail songs like Say Goodbye to the Holiday, Pinkie's Present and Luna's Future. Personally, all the great songs for me were in just 1 episode. Season 7: You're in My Head Like a Catchy Song and Flawless. This season had only 5 songs, but to be fair I liked all of them. Season 8: Friendship Always Wins, A Kirin Tale and Just Can't Be a Dragon Here. Season 9: Better Way to Be Bad, Lotta Little Things and The Magic of Friendship Grows. The first season had many short songs and a few standard songs and the later seasons (7-9) Had very few songs overall.

Kirin by a landslide. They are basically scaly fire bending unicorns.

I really liked the first 7 episodes in S3, its especially hard to choose between the premiere, Magic Duel and Wonderbolt academy.

The best TYT episode in a while, finally we get to know Opaline a bit more. I'm not sure if this portrayal will hold in MYM in which she seems more serious, but as for MYM this episode does show her hammy side. She is really weak magically right now, perhaps she can't even leave the castle physically and she is stuck there until she gets the dragon fire or something... even her control on Misty is slipping (she doesn't seem to be too bothered by it though?). The song is pretty mediocre in my opinion but overall the episode was pretty fun.

Not gonna lie, I thought most of the episodes lately were mediocre, this one is definitely one of the worst TYT episodes so far as far as I am concerned. I don't think anything important plot related will happen until the next chapter in MYM so I don't expect anything particularly interesting from misty and Opaline until then. Also, yeah I think they are overdoing the toilet humor with sparky at this point.

they nearly killed Misty in the landing. The whole thing with the wishing star... is this like alternative universe of the special? I liked Opalines ramble after seeing the wishing star. Her singing was the cutest she has been so far. Good episode, I loved the jokes, felt a little bad for Misty, she finally thought she will impress Opaline. I also want more details about the whole fire alicorn thing, did she became alicorn by harnessing fire magic? Were other ponies able to do this? She does say the most powerful, implying there are\were others.

Posey had many terrified\nervous expressions, I really liked this one:

At last, a Posey episode and it did not disappoint. I liked her dynamics with the main characters and how unamused she was, things just didn't go her way at all. The ending was sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed the episode, definitely one of my favorites so far, the best one since episode 30 for sure. I am surprised that when she had a chance and reason to get back at Izzy she just shook her slightly. Ahh, so many great faces in the episode...

I'm surprised I haven't heard this earlier, "Open Your Eyes" by Aviators is incredible. The moment I heard it, it became one of my favorite MLP fan songs.

I think some of the episodes in "chapter 2" were great and stood out. The specials could have certainly been better, hopefully the others will improve.

Just watched it, and it basically was what I expected. It was cute and had some nice moments but overall nothing really special, at times I was actually bored. It was nice seeing ZH, the grandma's house and BW but we barely explored there, hopefully the next batch of episodes will expand upon these locations or new ones. The music was alright, nothing really stood out but it was pleasant. Some highlights: -Izzy basically flushed Sunny when she shook her butt on the plane. Sunny was stunned. -I liked the pegasi concert (what we saw at least). The sisters interaction with their mother and we got more of Thunder and Zoom (Not sure about the new voice actors, but their scenes were neat). -A bunch of snow falling on Pipp. -Onyx's conversation with Izzy. How some unicorn and earth ponies (like Posey) got to ZH in this weather? What about Hitch's and Izzy's parents?

LOL I liked their dynamic and how they played off each other. Some great gags and comedic moments in the episode, like when that thing kept breaking or when they crash landed.

Not one of my favorites but it was fun. Its nice to learn more about the tribes traditions, I liked how Pipp was freaking out while Zipp was exasperated by it. I especially took interest in the family photo, Haven appears to be still a princess in it and I think the ponies on the right are her parents (maybe they all are just close relatives) with perhaps a little sister near them? We need more information on the members of the royal family ASAP. Also, was this the first spike sparky abuse in the series?

Izzy being written really similar to Pinkie aside, I liked this one. I thought it was one of Hitch's better appearances lately, the scene with Zoom and Thunder taking the wall was great. I wish they did not end the episode like this with Pipp but its not that bad. Also, what if the intruder was dangerous? She came alone, what did she expected to do? We got a better idea what Posey does for a living. She clearly doesn't like Izzy, but their interaction was neat. It was refreshing seeing her (for at least a few moments) in a good mood (and it not being at someone else expense).

LOL what was that?! Bizarre episode, nothing made sense but I admit I thought it was funny. Pipp somehow made it through, impressive feat considering what she had to endure. Jazz really wanted to eat that pie, oh well, maybe on another occasion . Izzy kind of made 2 references to cupcakes in the last few episodes: first the costume and now baking Pipp.

Considering her toxic relationship with Opaline I think its only a matter of time before she changes sides, she is just to sympathetic, usually characters like her are redeemed. Now, either she betrays Opaline at a crucial moment or Opaline will throw Misty away first is to be determined. And I'm not sure if she will join the main 5, its not a sure thing the series will keep going after they deal with Opaline and if it does (I think it will) than Misty can become just a side character (so far all the antagonists became background characters later on) instead of joining them as a sixth.

Shouldn't it be in TYT category? Anyway, as much as I like NMM, Izzy really stole the show with this costume.

Nothing really new here for MYM, we knew that there will be a few more specials and 23 episodes (2 season is most likely 2 chapters). It does confirm more TYT episodes though.

I kind of want to see Misty interact with Posey now, they can bond over all the abuse XD.
