Rushing cash

While I actually like all of them, even the best ones still could have been better, perhaps they needed more time (like then ending of S2 finale), maybe make a 3 or even if needed a 4 part episodes, or let the episode before the finale tie more with the finale itself. But, as for what we have: 1. The Ending of the End - the finale with the highest stakes, great fighting scenes and overall very interesting plot. I was immensely satisfied with the finale. Also, I am so happy that they did not redeem the villains, I am not against redemption but we had enough in my opinion, for the finale we needed some villains until the very end. 2. A Canterlot Wedding - The way Chrysalis was defeated was... meh... but the rest was great, maybe they should have hinted at Shining armor and cadence earlier in the show, but as it is its a top notch episode. Would have made a better movie than the actual 2017 movie in my opinion. 3. To Where and Back Again - 3 former villains and a changeling (while the race was still evil) trying to get along while saving the world? I all for it... Amazing character interactions and more Chrysalis (which I believe is the most disney like villain in the series). Still, the way they dealt with the main six and princesses of screen was a bit of a cheap shot but its not that bad and kinda make sense, but the way the changelings changed (pun not intended) their minds so quickly... I am not a big fan of that. 4. Best Night Ever - a very fun episode, not much on the line but as a regular episode it was great. 5. Twilights Kingdom - The battle pretty much made the episode for me (it was really epic), the rest was not as good as in the finales above. 6. The Last Problem - very emotional ending, especially the song (I cried when I watched it). The rest of the episode was okay. 7. The Cutie Remark - At times the writing was a bit slippery (like twilight being a bit to oblivious sometimes), but the whole time travel thing was great, I really liked that we saw the what if's situation. But as for SGs redemption, perhaps it would have worked better if she was present more in the episode, maybe make her be stuck with twi and spike at one timeline and slowly befriend them and realize what she is doing is wrong. 8. Magical Mystery Cure - good songs, I actually think twi deserved to be a princess, it was a rewording episode for her. However, I think it would have worked better as a 2 parter. 9. School Raze - it used to be my least favorite finale, but as my love for cozy grew and we got to see the rest of the series, I realized I like it more than the S7 finale. It was messy, somethings did not make sense and the characters are dumbed down from time to time, but its so much packed, and it is entertaining, I can't deny that. From objective POV I think its the worst finale, but subjectively I like it. 10. Shadow Play - I don't think its bad, it did a good job balancing all these characters but the villain was pretty bad (in my opinion), there was no real build up and we barely did anything with the pillars after this episode. Still, they nailed Starswirl, he was exactly as I imagined. So, these are my takes on the finales.

Besides flashbacks or time travel they should not appear at all.

Sprout was more of a circumstantial villain rather than truly evil (if he actually ended committing more serious war crimes than yeah, but he falls in the same category as neighsay IMO), but even before going power mad he wasn't exactly a pleasant pony. Anyway, I enjoyed his song a lot for the most part and he is a pretty interesting character, so as a villain I think they could have done worse. I really like all the main characters, its hard to rank them but it will be something like this: 1. Pipp 2. Sunny\Izzy 4. Zipp\Hitch As for secondary characters, my favorite is probably sprout. For minor characters its the 2 pegasi guards: Zoom Zephyrwing and Thunder, hopefully they will be recurring characters in the series. Out of the background characters so far was the mare with the similar color scheme to derpy, I will not be surprised if she will have some minor roles in the series, as she appeared pretty often:

It will be cool if the show will touch on it but I will not hold my breath. We actually saw only 3 locations, I am pretty sure there are many other places that we will visit, perhaps there are still (if sunny is not a permanent alicorn) some alicorns, maybe in the crystal empire, we still need to learn how the sun and moon movie, is there an artifact that someone usues, alicorm magic or was it a permanant spell that was placed that keeps the sun and moon moving? We also did not see or heard anything about other races, do some still live in equestria? What ponies think of them? I believe that it was gradual, once twilight was gone, eventually ponies started to distrust other species (perhaps they have done something or some ponies started to believe that other species were inferior to them and drove them away (in G4 ponies were the most developed species)) and started to drift away from them, at some point, maybe there were some villains that gave each race a bad name and slowly caused a discord between the races.

I don't think he is evil or was even intended to be a full blown out villain like some G4 villains, he is about on trixie level of threat. He is not evil, although he still has a nasty personality as we saw throughout the movie, duo to the circumstances and goading from his mother he became a threat. He does have potential to be a deep character, he seems to try to please his mother too much and he definitely has some insecurities. It will be interesting to see what will become of him in the series, he can become a minor antagonist or reform him, I sure hope that at least he is fired from being deputy, he needs to face the consequences at least to some degree. He did his part of the movie well enough, he wasn't the most interesting antagonist but he has his charms, he provided a good song and some funny moments, he is not one of the worst antagonists in the franchise.

Finally watched it, and I enjoyed. The first half was awesome but the 2nd part felt rushed and could have been handled much better. So, as some suspected sunnys dad is dead, I would like to see some flashbacks with him and sunny in the series. We also did not hear anything about the pegasi king so perhaps he is not around anymore as well. We are yet to hear about Izzys and Hitchs parents so maybe we will have more parents drama in the show. For the majority of the movie it looked like the true villain will be starlights plant Phyllis but eventually sprout ended up as the big bad but we really did not got to see what happened to him, did he not get punished at all? My favorite scene was during Pipps song, with sunny and Izzy trying to escape and Zipp helping them. I really hope we will get more royal sisters interactions in the future, I loved their arguments. Also, its interesting to note that Zipp is going to be the queen but Pipp is the more popular sister, perhaps it will come into play in the series, personally I would love to see some sibling rivalry between them. My favorite songs are "fit right in" and "angry mob" which is REALLY similar to smells like teen spirit by nirvana, like seriously similar. I also like "looking out for you" and "glowing up". The rest were mediocre. I loved Hitchs development and his relationship with sunny throughout the movie, how he went from wanting to arrest her to helping her out. I also kinda ship Sunny and Izzy, they are adorable. I did not like the queen, which surprised me because I thought she will end up as one of my favorites but I ended up not caring about her. I loved all the main characters, if I had to choose a fav its still Pipp by a bit.

Wait is this guy that thing that was attached to the balloons in the trailer? Poor fella. So that really points out to Phyllis being an antagonist, its still possible that she is just misguided but perhaps she tries to raise fear for personal gain. It was nice to see hitch doing his job, as well as it implies that sunny causes trouble pretty often. Sunny was very cute in this scene, I see why she might be considered a misfit in her society though. BTW, the reaction from the audience (especially sprout) to when sunny appears there is hilarious

I enjoyed it more than I anticipated, looking forward to the English release.

First things first, the animation looks really good, its very expressive. However, at some moments the lip syncing seems. a little... off, maybe its just me. The dialog is pretty funny and the interaction is entertaining. I love sunnys voice, but still not completely sold on Izzys, it just doesn't fully fit the character in my opinion, but maybe I will get used to it, its not a big deal really.

Thats pretty neat! Izzy is channeling her inner Sombra... so proud . I guess now we know who the villain is, or at least an antagonist. Also, I am really starting to like Zipp, fitting voice (as far as I can tell) and she seems fun. Also Pipps line made me chuckle. While I think these trailers are to revealing they are still very entertaining, can't wait for the movie to come out. Glad we got to see more of haven and sprout, plus the castle does really remind me of canterlot.

Its not bad, I don't mind listening to it but its not something I want to play on repeat. Its okay for a pop song, but I am usually not a fan of this kind of music, still I expected something like that from pipp songs (I hope that as the series progresses I will like her songs more). At some parts it feels a bit generic, hopefully the other songs will be more up my alley.

I wasn't big on the 3D thing myself when I first heard it, but the animation for the movie does look really good (not prefect, I don't like how the animals look for example). However, there is a concern about how the animation for the series will look, we don't know about that yet.

In the opening shot we see the 2 guards with sunny and izzy with the tennis ball I think, perhaps when they arrived at the city Izzy tried to show them something with her horn and everyone freaked out? We also see 3 thrones, a big one and 2 smaller ones, later on we see the queen sitting on the central one and Zipp on one of the smaller ones during a performance. So far there is no mention of the siblings father, perhaps he passed away. I admit that I loved the puns, it was good to learn and see more of pipp for once, it was very cute. Also, one of the pegasi looks very similar to zephyr breeze .

Obviously there will be reformations, I just hope they will be executed well and the ratio between the reformed antagonist to the antagonists who were not is balanced (we need some irreformable characters after all). As for the movie, I believe the antagonists there (if there are) will be reformed.

It also has that cantelogic symbol (looks like it run by Phyllis), it might be an important detail in the movie or in the series. Kinda similar to the situation with the "horns" poster. Also, unicorns are weary of pegasi too apparently, as Izzy says that they are bad news (it could be misleading as well, since its a trailer). Maybe there is some merit to the pegasi kicking the unicorns out of canterlot after all

Duo to the format the show usually goes for, its hard to develop villains. But, in season 9 the villains were actually pretty well developed (without reforming them to boot). I actually like it when the villains meet an unpleasant end and get what they deserve so I liked sombras end much more in season 9. I don't mind the reformations but not everyone can be reformed, and just putting them in prison wouldn't have cut it either.

I can't express enough how much I like Sunnys expression when looking at Izzy while everybody else panic

In the trailer, you can see at one point (the scene with the flying dog) that sunny actually has a jewel in her saddlebag, a jewel that belongs to haven. Later on we see queen haven without that jewel\crown looking pretty mad. The jewel also appears in that shop with alphabeatle.

I agree, her symbol appeared in some screen shots and a few times in the trailer, including on a poster that had an evil looking pegasus. It looks like she will be the mayor (or something like this) of the EP town, and she is spreading fear and mistrust towards the other races. Unlike Pegasi and Unicorns who appear to lose their magic\flight she and the earth ponies did not lose anything, if their technology is the most progressive it will benefit her the most. If there will be a main antagonist, it will probably be her, as the unicorns suffered the most and Haven is the mother of 2 of the protagonists. Of course its possible that the villain will be someone else completely or there will be no real villain\antagonist or there will be hints but the antagonist will not be really in play until the series.

The animation still looks amazing, most of the voices sound pretty good I am just not completely sold on Izzy's but I think its a matter of getting used to. The trailer had some really good and funny moments. Overall, standard trailer, it revealed the overall plot, showed a bit more of the characters... I am starting to really like hitch, still very little shown on Pipp and Zipp. The ending with Haven was... intriguing. Anyway, the hype is on, the release date can't come soon enough.

While going through the pictures we have seen so far, I noticed that the pony who watches Pipp has a very similar coat color and the same eye color as one of the guards in the famous horn ball picture, the slight difference might be due to different shadings. It might be him... although the fetlocks look very different
