Well, at least we will have a movie and a special before the series starts, could be worse. It shows that they put effort into it, so I am optimistic about it. Regarding S2 of PL, I don't see how its a bad thing. Personally, I don't really like it, but its better than nothing and if you hate it so you can just ignore it. If anything, its very plausible that PL S2 exist to fill the bridge between now and the movie. Can you remind me, did the leaks mention when Season 1 of G5 starts?

Going by the information we do. I am really interested to see how the special will play part in it. Maybe it will be this special instead of the usual premier in the beginning of every season?

According to EqD, from a russian source, Pony Life gets a second season, than G5 starts with a movie in late 2021, than we have a 44 minutes special, and in the second half of 2022 we get G5 S1 which will continue till first half of 2023, and than in late 2023 we get S2. As the series went on, AJ never did really develop and from being pretty much second in charge she started to shine less. RD was to me more interesting in the first few seasons and not showing her with the WB more actually hurt her character a bit in my opinion, but overall she developed and stayed herself. Rarity in my opinion improved after a few seasons and it was satisfying to see her development and arc. Pinkie was the most inconsistent, she had some episodes(especially in season 4) where she was on something I am sure, or maybe the real PP got sent to the mirror pole and it took some time for the new PP to acclimate , she returned to her usual self in season 5 and did not really change as far as I am concerned, but in later season her episodes quality declined. FS really grew out of her shell, its so staggering to see her season 1 self and season 9 self, while she still remained somewhat shy. And TS of course changed in many ways, despite some questionable decisions, I liked what they did in the end. Some seasons had different feel to them, season 1 and 2 were more free spirited and lighter(for the good and for the bad), season 3 felt a bit rushed but overall similar to the first 2, season 4 started the change, it became more mature yet stayed with many S1-3 aspects. Season 5 was the most mature season, and in my opinion lost a bit of the original feel to it. S6 was a bit weird, S7 had the perfect mix ans S8-9 her some of the original feel and something new(S9 executed it better). The story telling improved after a few seasons and each season had its own positives and negatives, but after season 3 it felt like the show had a direction, a story to tell and not just a fun cartoon.

Dunno, some magical fields maybe, no need to try to explain it scientifically. I think I have seen some theories like extending hairs in the bottom of their hooves but this is really an unnecessary theory that complicates it IMO.

Lets see, FS is 1 year older than pinkie according to her. The M6 got their CM at the same time, RD was first(or at least pretty early) in her class to get one while AJ was the last, so according to it AJ is probably older than dash. FS in the flashback appears slightly older than RD, maybe she just developed faster but its reasonable to assume she is older than RD a bit too. Based on this, I believe its: FS> or = AJ > PP > RD. Rarity seems like older than dash, and its really impossible to place her accurately in it(rarity too TBH). And, RD participated in the young fliers competition, so I guess she is probably 16-18 at that point, maybe around 20 at most, they all finished school(how schools even work in equestria?) expect twilight but she is celestias student so it doesn't apply here. My guess, is that from youngest M6(RD: 16-20) option to oldest M6(AJ: 20-22) option is 16-22 years old(in human years) in season 1. In my opinion: AJ> R> FS> TS> PP> RD. I think SG is actually older than the M6, by a couple of years. The crusaders were 6-8 in the first season.

It will be interesting to see a poll made to really check it, if one wasn't already made.

Well, the EP, Pegasus and unicorns are the true 3 races, with alicorns being a special case. It seems that crystal ponies are(mostly?) earth ponies, but maybe due to being close to the crystal heart for who knows how long they have developed slightly differently. Saddle Arabian ponies too, a population of the races in a different area that is usually separated from the other populations so they became slightly different. My guess is that, the ponies races are equivalent to species in the same genus(like lions and tigers) with the other "races" are more like subspecies of said species. Kirins seem more like a relative to ponies that(just like the changelings) developed horns as well, like convergent evolution in animals(while the pony races are displaying divergent evolution) where they develop similar traits despite not being closely related(like saber-tooth animals appeared many times throughout the history). Thats how I see that. But its a magical land with talking ponies, so you can explain it however way you want.

Mine is "Party of one", it is my favorite PP episode in the show overall.

Not surprising in the least, this is important for the new generation to not depend on characters that are completely unrelated to it. I hope I will love the new characters just as much as I love the M6.

You mean physically strong or magically? A combination of the two? Or maybe the strongest fliers? Rainbow is the most magical pegasus mostly due to the RB, the rest are hard to judge.

I became a fan after episode 9, episode 25 confirmed to me that I love this show very much.

Most unicorns have pretty weak magical skills, but they have the potential to out compete the other races, they can control the whether(rarity did in magical mystery cure), not as well as pegasi but it can be done if they have the appropriate CM, some unicorns can connect with the earth(like mistmane) . I actually am a bit disappointed they did not addressed this issue, would have been cool if a unicorn actually wanted his race to dominate the other races, would have made a cool villain with actual motives instead of taking over the world because he wants to, would have given a chance to show how powerful are the EP and pegasi. I guess there really is no need for this, they build a powerful and dependable society working together, so they probably will never think of fighting each other again(they kinda abounded each other in the series finale, but they did not fight each other).

These magic damping rings are awesome BTW. Also, that pony has a similar CM(and mane color a bit too) to twilight herself.

More importantly, the unicorn team WON! This conforms that unicorn is master race and should rule equestria(besides alicorn) with EP and pegasi as secondary citizens. Not sure if celestia's team can compete in a real competition though, its probably just a silly game to unite the schools somehow. Is it defeating the purpose of the game? Perhaps, but if they can make it work then its fair enough(although those butterfly wings are certainly not going to match a well trained pegasus, the earth ponies through are disposable if I am honest).

Well, I am not sure what counts as a meta episode, but from the aforementioned, I will go with F&M. Other than the very well executed meta humor(the "twilight was better before she got wings" line kills me every time) this was overall a great episode. Some fans took it too personally, but I personally love this episode to bits.

All the main characters had a few bad episodes, I will say that I think twilight is the most consistent and had overall the better episodes. My answer is either RD(she is arguably my favorite character but she had some stinkers), AJ, PP or spike if he counts. Lets see: Rainbow Dash: NCC- I love RDs and AJs interactions a LOT, but the episode felt forced and boring, plus it really did not lead to anywhere, although it had its moments. MMDW- Actually, I don't mind her ego, although at times it is a bit much, but all the accidents that started happening that were not before really irritates me, I just don't like this trope, the whole become the superhero thing, the girls already saved the town before, this is unnecessary. 28 pranks later- if it was season 1-2 I would not like this episode, but I would have let it slide, but 6 seasons in, and she starts going overboard with pranks out of the blue? The end in friend- like NCC its not a solo episode but dash is 1 of the 2 main characters so in my opinion it counts as well, and this episode is worse than NCC, here rarity and dash are really childish(at least dash and AJ bickering is entertaining, and they were still friends even when arguing), it was painful to watch. (I actually like rainbow falls and newbe dash and I think 2,4,6 great was alright) Am I missing something? May the best pet win deserves a mention here, as well as daring don't. Now lets compare it to her best episodes: Fall weather friends- I already said I love their relationship. Sonic rainboom- a classic. Read it and weep- I was happy to see a new side to dash. Wonderbolts academy- season 3 best episode IMO. Rarity investigates- that's how you do a rainbow\rarity episode. Stranger than fanfiction- best daring do episode, far from perfect but comedy gold. Parental glideance- scoot\dash episode + RD's parents, need I say more? Secrets and pies- not sure if it counts, but she was at the very least a very important secondary character and the episode was lovely. The washouts- remarkable episode. So, the great - bad episode ratio is: 9-4 with the rest being between mediocre and good. However, from season 6 on wards, the record is 4-3, compared to the first 5 seasons, 5-1, so her episodes sadly declined over time. Again, I am not counting good, okay, decent or mediocre episodes, just great ones and bad ones. Pinkie Pie: Yakity sax- arguably the worst episode in my opinion. Not asking for trouble- I don't like the yaks, and the fact that I can barely recall what I watched after finished watching it says it all. The Last Laugh- I am not a big fan of pinkie pride, and this episode was not a worthy successor for that even for me(its not terrible, but pretty bad IMO). There are a few more episodes I wanted to put here, but they are not bad(IMO) per-say, more like sub-par or mediocre(like party pooped). On the other hand(hoof): Party of one- it was the best pinkie pie episode in the series and arguably top 10 episode overall. Pinkie apple pie- not sure if I should count it, but what ever. Heartbreakers- it was more thanks to her family than pinkie herself. Rock solid friendship- a rock solid episode. Secrets and pies- pinkie finally understood how it feels to be pinkied(by dash, it was a masterful trolling performance by dash). And, I think thats it for me, the rest were from mediocre to good. The score for pinkie pie is 5-3, I think she is better as a supporting character than the main one. Her episodes in the last couple of seasons were disappointing, out of the 4(I am counting trivial pursuit) episodes she had, 1 was awful, 1 was pretty bad and the other 2 were decent. Unlike dash though, in the first 7 seasons, her episodes(in my likeness) were more random. I think pinkie beats dash in this "contest". Apple Jack: Apple Family Reunion- Barely made it to the list, its not really bad, but it is boring. Applejack's "Day" Off- not so bad, but pretty boring and I felt it might be a bot offensive to AJ. NCC- already mentioned it. Some great episodes: The perfect pear- perfect episode. Fall weather friends, The Last Roundup, Pinkie Apple Pie, Hearthbreakers, Where the Apple Lies, Sounds of silence. Not sure if "Bats!" count, it is mostly focused on AJ and shy, but the main 6 as a whole were really involved in it. Thats all I got. AJ's ratio is 7-3, as far as I can tell. So, out of the main 6, pinkie pie "wins" for me, she had much less "favorites" and the same(or in RD's case) just a little less bad episodes. Now, lets see if the unofficial main 7th record: Spike: Spike at your service- along with Yakity sax is the worst episode in the show for me, spike completely OOC and the rest of the episode doesn't make up for it one bit. Owl's Well That Ends Well- is this supposed to be a pity party? Dragon Quest- a close call, but I think its bad enough(I did not count secrets of my exces, although I may change my mind, it was a very close call too). Sweet and Smoky- shy and ember were the saving grace of the episode, and spike behaved maturely but the episode itself doesn't do it for me. Princess spike was a close call too, but I am pertty neutral on it. Gauntlet of Fire- ember. Inspiration Manifestation and... I can't think of another one, there were a few that were good, but I wouldn't consider them as favorites. Sparkle seven comes close, but its not a spike episode really. So, if we consider spike a main character, he had the most bad episodes(well, he is tied with dash) and the least good ones(all in my opinion), 2-4. At least, since season 4, he was 4-1, a real turn around. Maybe I will check the other main characters for some surprises.

I didn't read a lot of comics, but from the few I did, they are at best like the average episode, with some as bad as the worst episodes. Some I thought were OK but I just disliked the content for personal reasons(like the sombra arc).

The terms overrated and underrated are vague when talking about characters, but if we are talking about the attention the fandom gives to them(comapred to how I think they deserve) and underutilized in the show, I would say that limestone pie, suri polomare, some wonderbolts and zecora deserve more attention. Probably a few more that are slipping from my mind at the moment.

There are just to many to choose from, its impossible to decide.
