  1. *Comes back to life* I've NEVER liked onions...like ever. They make me gag. It's so annoying cuz people put them in like EVERYTHING...but just having them touch my tongue or teeth is enough to almost make me ralph.
  2. A few days ago, a brand new season of Total Drama finally, finally came out after almost 9 years of spinoffs, and I really enjoyed it despite its flaws. The new cast is great - while I haven't quite formed a REALLY strong personal attachment like I did with the Pahkitew and Ridonculous cast, at least not yet, and not all of them exactly shine in the best way (Chase...), they're super fun with some great interactions. Priya being my favorite. She's too cute! And Julia, Bowie and the hockey twosome are also favorites of mine. These new characters have a great way of making you care about them and want the best for them. Chris has also improved - he's a LOT less overwhelming than he was in Pahkitew while still having a presence. Even if his voice actor has changed, lol Of course, this season isn't without its flaws. Some of it is hard to sit through, especially if you have a problem with gross-out humor (Episode 5 has already gained notoriety for its...plotline ), and some plots don't sit well (again, Chase...). Buuuuuut the good news is, this isn't the only season these new characters will feature in. There's more to come, and this will allow for more development and time for them to comfortably shine. Overall I'm very happy with this new season and I can't wait to see what's coming next. Let me know your thoughts!
  3. This VERY YEAR, PBS Kids came out with a new cartoon called Work It Out Wombats. I checked it out and I really like it - it kinda reminds me of a blend between PB&J Otter (a show I loved growing up) and Harvey Beaks. I recommend it to anyone who likes chill, fun and silly cartoons for all ages.
  4. Personally I grew up on Playhouse Disney, and that channel had all sorts of bangers. Favorite themes for me were Bear in the Big Blue House, PB&J Otter, Out of the Box, Bunnytown (caught the world premiere of this one!), even the Doodlebops had a great theme song even though the show itself unnerved me lmao, and a little obscure one named Johnny and the Sprites. I recently rediscovered that one and a LOT of memories crushed me like an anvil. Even though I dislike Disney Junior, the theme songs are still as good as they've ever been. Especially Vampirina
  5. For the most part, Crash Twinsanity is a fun, silly romp in a wacky universe with wacky characters and wacky gameplay styles. Good, clean, wholesome fun. Then you reach the Dingodile fight, and suddenly you're in a Hostel movie I'm fairly sure those are the moans of tortured souls in the music track!
  6. I LOVE the animated works of PBS Kids. As someone who's trying to come up with her own cartoon, PBS Kids is a massive influence to me (them, and shows like MLP, Amphibia and The Owl House). And to see if I'm the only one with this fixation...well, I made this bad boy! Sorry if it's a bit small, but I'm not very good at making brackets. LOL. But, this is a little bracket I made featuring most of the currently-airing PBS Kids cartoons (if I were to include EVERY cartoon that's ever been on PBS Kids...we'd be here for years lmao). Obviously I couldn't include ALL of them (I feel a bit bad for excluding Sid the Science Kid), cuz WHEW there's a lot of them, but this is most of the ones that have caught my interest the most. I didn't include Sesame Street cuz A, it's not really a cartoon, and B, c'mon we ALL know it'd win I'm still catching up with many of these, but early favorites to win for me are: Clifford (I'm counting both the original and the current series under this one) Cyberchase Dinosaur Train Nature Cat Ready Jet Go! Wild Kratts All these shows are super wholesome and comfy good times that I really enjoy and I'm super curious to know where you stand with them all. And even if you can't pick a favorite like I can't, I'd love to hear your takes on shows that stand out to you.
  7. I've got into watching Wild Kratts lately via YouTube, and...Aviva's growin' on me
  8. Can't stop watching Wild Kratts... Why'd they have to make Aviva so damn adorable???
  9. Since tpam mentioned Ratchet and Clank... Every game past Secret Agent Clank is absolute, complete and utter cack. Rather than doing what the far-superior Jak and Daxter games did, they constantly crapped on the games' past, fell to the same consumerism traps they were originally making fun of, and basically lost all their soul in an attempt to tell a 'good' story and falling on their ass in the process. It's a disgrace that they've dragged this garbage fire out so long but hung Jak and Daxter out to dry the MOMENT Naughty Dog fully moved on to the Uncharted series. Also you have no idea how much I utterly despise Rivet
  10. I'VE ARRIVED. Anyway, most of these I admittedly haven't watched, though I'd love to try out Growing Up Creepie in particular, BUT. GROSSOLOGY. I love that damn show to absolute pieces. It's such a unique take on the gross-out humor you see in many cartoons, has such an adorable pair of siblings as its main characters, the villains are genuinely compelling and entertaining, the animation is stark raving GORGEOUS...it feels like Hamster and Gretel BEFORE Hamster and Gretel. Honestly, the best word for Grossology is "delightful". I can't recommend it to EVERYONE, considering...well its focus, but if you can handle the gross-out, you absolutely MUST seek it out.
  11. Having seen how much the show has grown lately...yeah, it is. It might not've had its roots in 4chan (though let's be real, that's a good thing), but I've been all around the net and I've seen the show met with rapturous, overwhelming praise all over the shop. Which is odd cuz MLP overall goes on a larger scale, being set in a fantasy world where crazy adventures happen half the time, while Bluey is a smaller, more chill show set in a more realistic world and focusing on the games we all used to play as kids. But Bluey is a great show, so I'm happy.
  12. Here's a few of mine... Caddicarus (Hilarious reviews and essays on video games. His most recent video on Spyro goes ESPECIALLY hard) Izzzyzzz (Video essays on the good, the bad and the ugly of internet history, including our own brony fandom) Hbomb (Having recently picked up Bloons Tower Defense 6 (#GlueGunnerSweep), his channel is where I go to learn good strategies for it. Short, helpful videos with all the fluff and cringe humor cut out. MUCH more helpful than the Steam community guide page...) The Green Scorpion (A blend of funny video game countdowns and some fun edutainment on the elements he talks about) Athena P (Her lore videos just kill me with laughter and she's even brought me on some nostalgic journeys!) The 2nd Dimension (A super fun and positive channel looking at Disney animation, plus the Milo Murphy's Law representation!) Diamond Axe Studios Music (Hilarious and at times touching discussion on popular music) There's others I'm probably forgetting lol
  13. I think you guys can guess by now. Yep, it's them: Other than them... Devin (Total Drama) Lo Ridgemount (Stoked) Lila Rossi (Miraculous Ladybug...and yes, I said it) Sprig Plantar (Amphibia) Melissa Chase (Milo Murphy's Law) Pinkie Pie (Um) Keira Hagai (Jak and Daxter) Angela Cross (Ratchet and Clank) #JUSTICEFORANGELA Trina Riffin (Grojband) Sarah (Ed, Edd n' Eddy) Abigail 'Abby' Archer (Grossology) Luz Noceda (The Owl House) Molly McGee (The Ghost and Molly McGee) Alex (Totally Spies!) Princess Jasmine (Aladdin) Jessie the Yodelling Cowgirl (Toy Story) EVERY character in Luca I also started on Clone High recently (took my Nelvana-stanning ass long enough...) and Joan of Arc is an immediate favorite of mine
  14. I recently watched Athena P's video on WordGirl, and I came to a realization Most of the similarities are pretty subtle at first glance, but once you realize they're there, you never look at WordGirl the same again. (If you have a strong stomach I do recommend trying out Grossology, cause it has some very likable characters and some GREAT animation at times)
  15. I was never really able to get into Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, aside from the FairlyOdd Parents crossover specials. The CGI was kinda creepy, a lot of the characters were meanspirited (as Athena elaborates), and for the life of me I could not STAND Cindy. I'd rant all day about the harmful tropes and stereotypes she perpetuates, and how we're just meant to accept that she and Jimmy are supposed to be together (as "The Tomorrow Boys" reveals...and Future Jimmy is absolutely MISERABLE in their relationship) but I don't have that kind of time.
  16. Soooo here I was, hanging around and having a normal day when suddenly...I find a Twitter post that hits my eyes like an anvil on Daffy Duck's head https://twitter.com/DisneyAPromos/status/1613956139682496532 So...yeah, it looks like Dan Povenmire's flagship cartoon will be making a surprising comeback in the future. This was probably in the pipeline for a while. Candace Against the Universe did pretty well all things considered and proved that there is definitely still an audience for this franchise, so Disney's giving it another go with Dan back on board (Swampy's status pending...but I at least hope he comes back for voicework) To be honest, I have mixed feelings here. On the one hand, like many Disney fans I really enjoy Phineas and Ferb and I can't wait to see what new stories Dan has in mind for them. But on the other hand...between this and Hamster and Gretel also being renewed for season 2, I can't help but feel like Milo Murphy's Law, my favorite of the Dan shows, is getting a REALLY bad deal. It seems to have been completely hung out to dry in favor of P&F and H&G, being quietly cancelled after only two seasons and completely left in the shuffle of Disney's other recent successes like Big City Greens, Amphibia and The Owl House. My hopes is that we'll get more crossover stuff like in MML in these new episodes. Since P&F, MML and H&G all take place in THE ENTIRE TRI-STATE AREA, there's definitely some crossover special potential here. And like I said, even though I can't help but feel slightly bitter as a fan of Milo Murphy's Law, I cannot wait to see what new adventures the P&F cast will get up to. Let me know your thoughts.
  17. Found another couple of contenders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Aio-bdFiG4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJs4e2lbMmA Neither of which are shows I've watched, but again, if they're anything like these theme songs...
  18. This is what happens when I'm in full MML brainrot mode.
  19. Flipping through all my favorite cartoons... Caitlin Cooke (6teen) [no freaking DUH] Tina Kwee (Detentionaire) [another no freaking DUH] Devin (Total Drama) Lo Ridgemount (Stoked) Lila Rossi (Miraculous Ladybug...and yes, I said it) Sprig Plantar (Amphibia) Melissa Chase (Milo Murphy's Law) Pinkie Pie (Um) Trina Riffin (Grojband) Sarah (Ed, Edd n' Eddy) Luz Noceda (The Owl House) Molly McGee (The Ghost and Molly McGee) Alex (Totally Spies!) I could probably list more if I felt like it, but I don't wanna keep you here all day
  20. I haven't seen this show but if it's anything like this theme song, then no wonder Cartoon Network loved it so much.
  21. Growing up, I didn't care much for the Disney Princess movies, I was more of an animal movie type...Jasmine was the exception. She was my favorite then and she's my favorite now. She was one of my original comfort characters as a kid. Just a gigantic sweetheart with an understandable dilemma who you can really feel for, an incredibly gentle and likable personality, very accepting of others despite her royal background...a BIG role model for me as a kid. All the follow-ups helped - the song "Out of Thin Air" from the finale movie pretty much exemplifies what made her my favorite Disney character, even among all the animals (and Lilo who I was also a big fan of). I'd still say she's my favorite Disney character today, at least out of the movies (if you count the TV shows, Sprig and Melissa give her some competition)
  22. As a kid I was utterly obsessed with Disney's Air Buddies movies. I mean c'mon. Talking puppies in increasingly ridiculous situations? I ate that crap up. Nowadays I look back on them and realize...they were pretty mediocre, lol. But certainly not the worst things Disney has ever done (not even in the live-action talking animal genre) and not worth getting super heated over *cough*BOBSHEAUX*hack*
  23. Hmmm, let's see... Caddicarus (My favorite, makes lots of wacky gaming videos) Izzzyzzz (Hilarious and dark video essays) PhantomStrider (Used to focus solely on cartoon content but recently diversified and makes a lot of fun stuff as a result. If you're looking for actually good versions of video lists often done on crummy clickbait channels (IE dangerous theme park rides), this is your dude) Tonka Joey (As a frequent indulgent in fan content the videos here are always good for a laugh) Kim Justice (Retro gaming content through a snarky British lens) Diamond Axe Studios Music (Man, these funny music reviews sure do exist, don't they?) And a bunch of others I don't feel like listing.
  24. Oh god...I recently saw this when on a RCT/Planet Coaster binge Yyyyyyeah, I think current-day Atari has to take it now.
  25. I cannot sing for the life of me so rap is the thing I'd probably do best at. Tempting to form a female-fronted death metal band, though.
