I recently binged through the first season of The Ghost and Molly McGee. Really good stuff, I suggest checking it out.

D'oh. I should've mentioned I'm an avid fan of theme park sim games like Rollercoaster Tycoon, Planet Coaster and the like. I suck at them (especially Planet Coaster ), but I find them a lot of fun

It really depends on the franchise. If it's for 6teen or Detentionaire, I might go through with it. Otherwise, meh.

Not so long ago, at the 2022 Game Awards (grats to Elden Ring for taking GOTY), the next Crash game was announced! Yessiree, Crash Team Rumble is a forthcoming title for the orange marsupial. It appears to be a PVP party game with the It's About Time incarnations of the characters and some new faces alongside. I saw this livestreamed and I am SUPER hype! The game takes the "be good or evil" dynamic of Crash Bash and is doing a new take on it. The gameplay looks super fun as is, but I'm predicting lots of new features will be shown in the lead-up to release, along with plenty of new characters. As this is I'm either gonna main Alt-Tawna or the adorable bat girl, BUT I'm REALLY hopping Nitro-Fueled's versions of the Nitro Squad get in at some point! Maybe it's too early for a thread like this, but I just wanted to get this out there as I'm really excited. Let me know your thoughts! Or don't. I'm not your boss.

Whenever I watch Detentionaire I can't help but get curious to try Green Apple Splat and see what it tastes like. It's the splattiest! Some of the cupcakes in MLP look really good too.

When I was but a Mothling, I had myself a fair few crushes from Total Drama. Heather was my bisexual awakening. Child me thought she was charming, funny and that she had rather beautiful eyes. But then Pahkitew Island came. And OH BOY OF BOYS did I fall head-over-high-heels for Dave. I thought he was the cutest, sweetest nerd ever (yes, I ignored the finale) and I just wanted to hold him and treat him with all the loves in the world. Of course I got over this eventually, and moved on to my currently celibate lifestyle. But man alive did I simp for Dave back in '14. You can imagine my frustration when I learned how much the fandom hated him.

Freaking Galeem in Super Smash Bros Ultimate That X-bomb attack ALWAYS got me. Weirdly, Dharkon wasn't nearly as much as a problem. But Galeem had me nearly break my joycons

Favorite movie: Soul of course! This movie still hits me like no others can, with an important message, fascinating story, gorgeous animation, writing sharper than a 10000-degree knife...AND THE MUSIC IS BY NINE INCH NAILS!!! Least favorite: Homeward Bound 1&2 If you thought The Lion King 2019 was a bad remake then WHOO BOY. These remade an already-live-action movie from 1963 which is honestly one of the most underrated things Disney has ever done, and COMPLETELY SCREWED IT UP. The animals didn't talk in the original, but now they're just completely nasty, stereotypical and cold to each other half the damn time and we're meant to root for these animals apparently! Like imagine the Lion King remake but if everyone was just nasty and unlikable. That's Homeward Bound.

Easy question for me Caitlin Cooke isn't just my favorite character of all time because she's an adorable cinnamon roll and comfort character. She's also my favorite because she's someone I can aspire to be like. She's incredibly optimistic, endlessly kind to others (even those that don't deserve it), and she doesn't let any amount of setbacks or break-ups ruin her goals. That's why she's my hero, personally.

Every so often I wander around on TVTropes when I'm curious to see how some of my favorite shows are represented (MLP, 6teen, Detentionaire etc). I've been doing this for years. Fun stuff. But TVTropes has also exposed me to something terrifying. A show that I've never, ever heard discussed anywhere else (with an odd exception or two). And given what I've heard of it...there's a good reason for that!! So what in the everloving name of Princess Celestia is this show? To be honest...I'm still not sure if I really know. But judging by how much TVTropes speaks about it, I do have a basic grasp of the gist. In short: it's kind of like Bluey if it had South Park's sense of humor. The show tells about four..."friends" on the planet of Smileyland. We have Kaeloo, a kindhearted frog, Stumpy, an unlucky and ditzy squirrel, Quack Quack, a quiet and invincible duck who is the target of all manner of abuse, and Mr. Cat. The lattermost is a dangerous psychopath with a sadistic, cruel sense of humor and he just LOVES to screw with his friends in the most violent ways possible. Whenever Mr. Cat pushes Kaleoo's buttons too much, she turns into a huge, buff, toad-like monstrosity who beats the tar out of him as karma for all his horrible, cruel deeds. Season 2 also introduces new characters in the form of bunny sisters Pretty and Eugly, and the evil penguin genius Olaf. So how's this show stand out? It sounds like a pretty simple, slap-sticky fun cartoon on paper. Well OH BOY, let me tell you that this cartoon has one of the most screwed-up senses of humor I've ever seen. It's not like Looney Tunes or any other simple classic cartoon short series, this show has the tendency to disregard ALL means of good taste to tell a joke. Let me tell you some of the stuff the show jokes about... Explosions Violence Chainsaws Animals getting ripped in half Animals getting decapitated Jokes about disabled people Jokes about eating disorders Nazi references Many, many references to Hell (THEY EVEN RAP ABOUT IT ONCE ) Terrorism references Sexual harassment gags Characters dressing inappropriately (G-strings and stripper outfits) Drug metaphors aplenty Alcoholism Masochism (Mr. Cat is all but confirmed to canonically be a masochist) Adult newspapers shown in surprising amounts of detail Occasional swearing (even the F word!) CONSTANT SUICIDE JOKES Oh, and the kicker??? ALL THE CHARACTERS AREN'T EVEN TEENAGERS. And the OTHER kicker??? This show ISN'T like South Park where it's aimed at an adult audience...IT'S ACTUALLY FOR FAMILIES Of course, maybe this show is better than it looks. Maybe it's a cartoon that's considered Fine Art. I can't be too sure myself. It's absolute pain to find and watch - and only one season was ever dubbed into English. But you see it's hard to tell how good it is...cuz I have never, ever heard this cartoon EVER get discussed. No reviews from big animation YouTubers, no mentions of it in lists of French animations (good or bad lists), it's not even on the animated TV series iceberg images I've seen. Yet this show apparently has quite the following and even won awards! Could it be that I have found the most popular cartoon we've never heard of? IDK. I'm just curious if anyone else has heard of this show, and if it's actually any good. Cuz learning about this show is an unforgettable experience that you don't often have in your life. But to be honest, part of me wonders if I'm just hallucinating this entire thing considering how it's barely ever discussed anywhere, so what do I know?

Let's be real. This song...isn't that great. It's so depressed and downbeat that it makes "Psycho" by Post Malone sound like "Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj. For being a "love song", it's incredibly dour, depressive, and generally sounds like the ramblings of a lazy, depressed man who feels like crap 24/7. So yeah, not good. BUT WHY DO I LOVE IT SO MUCH

Oh I DESPISE that! It happens to me all the time Here's another thing that I've experienced: no longer does YouTube give you a five-second countdown before an ad starts. Nay, now it springs it on you out of nowhere. So I'm stuck being on my guard at all times in case an ad I DESPISE shows up.

Most of my ships are canon, lol. But my OTP is Jen/Caitlin from 6teen - simply because I get the feeling they are at their happiest when they are together. They go through a lot of pain throughout the show but at the end of the day, being together shows them at some of their absolute best. In Caitlin's endless pursuit of love, I can think of no better person for her than her own best friend. ...Of course many of my other non-canon ships are crack-tacular. I'm looking at you, Crash Bandicoot.

In the cartoon Stoked, my favorite character is Lauren Ridgemount, also known as Lo. She's a goofy, cute ball of fun and has so, SO many lol-tacular scenes. It is a right pity, then, that her father is one of the nastiest, most awful pieces of work in any show ever. Throughout the series it's shown he's raised his daughter in the WORST way possible, not giving any thought to her future, and the MOMENT she screws up, he throws her out into the hotel to work for a living with no prior preparation. He talks so damn badly to her, she visibly flinches when he screams her name in his introduction episode, and she's able to notice his body language for when he's SERIOUSLY upset - all clear signs of genuine abuse of some form. He's a monster of the highest caliber and I DESPISE him.

Time for your monthly appearance from the quiet Detentionaire fan. Been playing a lot of Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled lately, and my mind's been on the Nitro Squad characters a lot. I'd like to create a cartoon about them. They come from different countries around the world... Tawna comes from Australia (implied) Ami comes from America Megumi comes from Japan Liz comes from the UK Isabella comes from Italy Yet despite this, they're all incredibly close and will do anything for one another. This kinda inspired me to go "the Fraggle Rock approach" - I want a TV show about these girls that will help to bring about world peace. Aside from Fraggle Rock, this cartoon will also have elements of Amphibia and our own pony show. It'll teach morals about friendship and universal love while showing our girls going on great adventures, with wall-to-wall musical numbers and lots of humor. I wanna make this into a serious deal. But no-one said making cartoons would be easy

Been switching between Cookie Clicker and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled for the past few weeks. As one does.

Well, the days of Smash Ultimate speculation are behind us. Last year, Sora from Kingdom Hearts was revealed as the final DLC fighter for the game. Overall, I am very happy with the Smash Ultimate roster. There are still things I would change, like swapping Min Min out for Ribbon Girl and for corn's sake ADDING VIRIDI AS A PLAYABLE FIGHTER ALREADY (she's pretty much my Ridley/K. Rool by now), but as is I'm fully fine with how things are. Byleth was one of my most wanted characters so I was one happy camper when s/he got in back in 2020 (their moveset is also *chef's kiss*). And of course the "Everyone is Here!" tagline meant that Corrin was in from the get-go when everyone thought he'd be cut. And Isabelle from Animal Crossing isn't even an Echo Fighter. WHINING FOOLS BEGONE! At the end of the day I'm just very happy with the final roster, and the inevitable cuts in the next Smash game will probably make me very sad. I don't want to lose Corrin, Isabelle or Byleth...(but if they get swapped out for Ribbon Girl or Viridi, I wouldn't mind) As of now I'm trying to hone my skills at playing Smash. Never felt comfy with the Gamecube controller so I'm happy with the standard Switch controls. And I'm improving my Corrin quite healthily. Though I need to start playing Isabelle, Byleth and Yoshi again. So as a summary of this thread, as well as your final thoughts on Ultimate, I'm askin' these questions: Who's your main? (Me: Corrin) Are you happy with the final roster? (Me: Yes) Who do you think will get in the next game? (Me: Waluigi, Bandana Waddle Dee, and a new FE protagonist) Who do you think will get cut? (Me: Corrin unfortunately...and probably Sora too :/) Who do you WANT to get into the next game? (Me: RIBBON GIRL, VIRIDI, and Grima from Fire Emblem Awakening) Any other thoughts?
