  1. I don’t think I’ve ever fully written a completely unique country before. Usually my stories are set in something akin to our world and countries or in already developed fantasy countries like Equestria. I like world building, just not enough to go all the way and create an entirely new country with its own culture, language, customs, all that. I much prefer writing characters over world building. Now if we’re talking something like making a whole new country in the current state of the world, I’ve always been attracted to the idea of the Great Lake states and provinces becoming their own full fledged country. Kaiserreich, a mod for HOI4 where Germany won the First World War, has this to an extent. As the Second American Civil War in that mod has the entirety of the Great Lakes declaring independence and becoming their own country.
  2. Life size eeveelution plush... If I actually had room for a big plush I'd have to seriously considering buying at least one, even with how expensive they are. I might somehow end up with one anyway even without hacing the space for it... $400 is pretty cheap for a plush that big. Good luck finding anyone making plushies that size for less than $1000...
  3. You look like a fat burnt loaf of bread
  4. I think I’ve replied to a thread that was similar to this one before. Either way, I always struggle with falling asleep. On a good night it takes me maybe 20-30 minutes to actually fall asleep. On a bad night it’s multiple hours. And when I do get to sleep I have a hard time waking up. Which I guess is better than struggling to fall asleep and stay asleep?
  5. Look inside through holes in the sky, the fallen days bring tears to my eyes Heaven's always watching Dreams so big of a hive-like mind Sunny side up and ready to fry Heaven's always out for love
  6. I don’t really have an ideal perfect date tbh. I do think the best dates tend to be the ones that are more spontaneous, just doing things off the cuff basically. Doing what seems fun in the moment.
  7. The Matrix for sure. I didn’t watch it until much after 1999 of course, which probably did lessen the impact it had on me. Still, such an iconic movie. There’s a reason people still reference and talk about it all the time.
  8. These guys have such great chemistry together, they should do a TV show together or something
  9. End of Evangelion, of course. Excluding that one, it's probably... No Country for Old Men or Interstellar. Rewatching Interstellar recently made me remember just how amazing and groundbreaking that movie really is, Christopher Nolan is a hell of a filmmaker. Inglorious Basterds would be another runner up, by far my favorite WW2 film. "You'll be shot for this!" "Nah, I don't think so. More like chewed out. I've been chewed out before."
  10. Depends on the context sometimes. But generalizing, I think "I don't mind" comes off as less aggressive than "I don't care" so I tend to use it more often.
  11. Grabbed the Oblivion Remake for $40. Was watching some streams of it today while working and it looks pretty good I'll admit, and $40 for a brand new game even if it's a remake is hard to say no to when you have companies like Nintendo charging $80. I just pray they made the level scaling system better.
  12. I stumbled upon a YouTube channel that focuses only on fire alarms and things related to them, it has 25k subscribers. I think it’s kind of beautiful that the internet allows really niche interests and communities like those to flourish.
  13. Tabitha for sure, since she voices my favorite character. She’s also voiced a lot of other characters I remember from shows growing up. Scary Godmother, Nazz in Ed Edd N Eddy, Martha, probably more but her list of roles is like a mile long and those are just the ones that pop into mind.
  14. Probably The Stanley Parable? Super fun game though, leaves a big impact on you despite not being long at all, very meta and 4th wall breaking. Fun fact of the day is that the developer of The Stanley Parable (Davey Wreden) is the brother of relatively famous streamer DougDoug (Douglas Wreden). While I didn't play it (I watched ManlyBadassHero play it on YT) Employee of The Month is also another really good, but weird game. Perfect amount of weird surrealism mixed with well hitting comedy and then topped off with great PS1 era graphics.
  15. Fallout - It’s Brotherhood of Steel without a doubt. I have a hard time even calling that a Fallout game honestly because it’s just a generic game with the Fallout name slapped on it.
  16. I picked up Marvel Rivals recently. Pretty fun, reminds me of Overwatch 1, before they “released” Overwatch 2 and made the game 5v5 instead of 6v6. There are some balance issues, mostly with some heroes just not being very fun to play atm due to nerfs or their kit not being well designed. And all the supports tend to kinda play the same which is boring, by far my biggest issue is that it’s just not fun to play the supports. I played that a few weeks ago too! I really liked it, was more linear than I expected which I was glad of. I do still prefer the first 2 games but Exodus was great, definitely worth playing.
  17. I'm still not convinced this TES4 Oblivion remake is actually real. I'm also not convinced that it's going to be that good even if it is real simply because it's supposedly running on UE5.
  18. FiM if one of the alicorns actually locked in for once. By Moonatik
  19. Wearing: shorts and a very oversized t shirt because comfy Hair: a disaster because I’ve been messing with it like it’s some kind of fidget toy. Eating: Nothing: Drinking: Nothing. We’re surviving off just air. Thinking: Sometimes when British people talk fast it’s like they’re speaking an entirely different language, it’s kinda funny. Feeling: Hot. I hate hot weather so much. Talking to: Myself, in my head. Listening to: A YT video. Watching: ZeroLenny’s Dark Souls 2 Hitless Run on YT Loving: The video I’m watching I guess. Hating: Temperature, heat, hot, not good. Wanting: Nothing. Waiting for: Nothing. I’m content. Weather: Hot. Time: 5:34 AM Eastern Hoping: It cools down. Situation: Acceptable.
  20. Ghost in the Shell's setting being based around Hong Kong makes so much sense now after seeing some photos of the city from the 90s. Insane vibes from that era.
  21. Apparently FiM is in one of the gallery images for VLC on the Linux Snap Store. Neat.

      Dawnshine Wonder

Awesome, good to see Linux getting some love from MLP community.

  22. It kinda sucks that most streamers seem to only stream right in the middle of the day, when most people are too busy to actually watch their streams live.
  23. I’ll take the dream. If you’re stuck in a dream forever, I don’t think that’s a dream anymore. That’s just your new reality.
  24. I wonder if Rarity was inspired by Emma Frost in some way. Both have that mid-Atlantic accent, both say darling a ton, both are very fashion oriented, and both have some sort of relation to diamonds and gems. Maybe just a coincidence.
