Disney and Paramount have lost faith in physical media at this point. For the past several years, I've been contacting Disney to release more Disney Channel content (both new and old) on DVD and even encouraged others to do the same, yet to this day, the Zenon movies (one of my favorite DCOM series) are still not officially available on DVD (despite being on Disney+ and digital storefronts) and we're already a year past the first film's 25th anniversary. Not to mention the closure of Disney Movie Club has lead to dozens of Disney Blu-rays becoming absurdly expensive due to no longer being available to purchase directly. ZOMBIES 3 is also MIA on physical media despite the first two films having been released on DVD and a fourth film in the series being in production.
Paramount isn't doing much better as they've axed the standalone Blu-ray releases of their new movies making the only way to buy their movies on the format through 4K combo packs, I've also heard rumors of them phasing out 1080p Blu-rays completely, making DVD and 4K the only physical formats you could buy their movies on in this scenario. If they even dare to go through with this, it will lead to many people who can't afford a decent 4K player (including myself) boycotting new releases from Paramount.
It's like the movie industry is trying its hardest to force us to resort to streaming, which has its own set of problems, mainly the fact that nothing is available online forever to the point where a title can be removed at any given time.
