You actually have a 3D view of the model and you paint on it, thats exactly why its so great. Im not sure what formats it supports though. I worked in 3DS max and it imported .3ds with no problems, but im not sure about Maya, Lightwave, or whatever you are using... I was wrong btw, it wasnt latest photoshop (cs6), but cs4. I love the model. Its preety detailed and much better then anything i've ever done. As for texturing, the latest photoshop can import 3d models and you can actually paint and apply textures on the model. It helped me with texturing a lot, so i suggest you give it a try.

I live in a somewhat big city so i cant really own a personal zoo like OP Still, i have a 3 year old male samoyed called Yuki: The cute little thing sleeping next to him is one of his puppies which we later gave away. I also have a 2 year old unnamed cat: I've had close to 15 cats in the past, and every time i'd give the cat a name, it would either get hit by a car or simply dissapear in the next few days, therefore we simply call it "Cat". These two are the best of friends. Actually, if it wasnt for Yuki, the cat probably wouldnt be alive today. It was december, 2 years ago if i remember correctly. It was snowing outside and it was really cold, so Yuki was inside with us (not that he really minds the cold anyway). I was watching tv when he just got up and went to the back door and started scratching and barking, so i looked outside, and saw a maybe 2 week old kitten, barely alive and covered in snow. I got it inside and managed to get it warm. If it wasnt for Yuki, i never would have noticed the poor thing.

EvE Online has a few awesome soundtracks. I see what you mean. Now that i look at it, it does look quite awkward. As i said in my reply to ThatBlueChicken: "...mostly because i am inexperienced at making these." Anyways, fixed the leg and the cutiemark, heres another ss from McEdit. Tell me if you see any other major defects. As for legitimacy, i guess ill just have to record and upload a video doing the whole thing next time... Preety stupid, but it seems to be the only way to avoid this... Hahah, thats gonna take a while, but why not? Not really, im actually VERY lazy and give up very quickly. Something like this could have been completed in a single afternoon. Im not sure exactly what you mean, but the second screenshot is identical to the first, just from a different angle (you can see the npc village in the lower left on the first screenshot). The jagged lines are simply due to minecraft limitations, and the single black pixel in the cutiemark was actually my fault, because i was doing it line by line from bottom to top without looking or thinking about the entire picture, and the lines were too thin so i judged them to be white (minecraft has a very limited color pallete, so making edges is mostly based on deciding where the colors A and B split, you cant fade it like in the reference) Also, i built it from bottom to top, and when i reached the maximum building height allowed by minecraft (265) i couldnt build up and had to roll it over in McEdit to continue the work.

I think you completely misunderstood what i said. I took the reference image, zoomed in as far as i could, and rebuilt it pixel to block manually in minecraft. That green picture is a top-down screenshot in McEdit of the map with the pixel art. By "pixel art", i dont mean the screenshot, i mean the 50 thousand manually placed blocks in minecraft.

It took me about a week (few hours every day, im lazy) mostly because i am inexperienced at making these. Half the time spent i was trying to figure out why the ingame coordinates and reference image werent matching up (turned out to be some stupid settings in the image editor).

Hello everypony! So, I've been bored lately (which is quite obvious by the amount of effort i put into this thread), and felt the need to draw/make something. Since my drawing skills are terribad, i went for a giant Rainbow Dash pixel art in minecraft, and finished it today. Its made of exactly 50,168 blocks of wool, and took me around a week to finish (around 15+/- hours of actual worktime). very big pics Also, here is the McEdit .schematic file if anyone wants this: http://www.mediafire...6ogcfq2zs1hfk1k Do you like it, should i make more (which pony?), any noticable mistakes that need fixing?

The asteroid would be noticed years before, but if it couldnt be stopped, on the last few hours I'd climb on a hill, lay down next to a nice tree and play this. Most of my happy memories and best friends are from EvE Online, and this song is a sort of our anthem, often played when we do crazy stuff together (or just get drunk and talk nonsense on mumble)
