    I don't want to get attacked but Overrated: Trixie and Derpy Underrated: definately Applejack also by some people Rarity Fluttershy isn't overrated even though most people like her a lot more than I do. She is pretty amazing

    About your issues with dash representing loyalty, the problem is that it is inherantly one of the easiest elements to twist against itself. In Dragonshy? She could be being loyal to equestria by trying to make sure the dragon was dealt with ASAP. Also think of Cloudsdale, her hometown. It's up in the sky where the smoke is, making it unsafe to fly and even to breathe. She could have handled it better but Fluttershy up until she solved the problem was a massive impediment to their mission. And as for the last roundup? Catching AJ was clearly the priority

    First off I agree, nothing's wrong with a little chaos. However there is definately something wrong with a lot of chaos, particularly if it is forced on everyone against their willSecond off, how would trapping discord in a world of chaos be a punishment? That's what he actively tries to create. Why don't we punish Pinkie by locking her in willy wonka's chocolate factory next? Third off, how do you propose that they punish him? He is clearly more powerful than them and able to break them by tapping them on their foreheads. They knew of one way to stop him, nuke him with the elements of harmony and that's what they had to do.

    I think that examining gray morality might be better left to a show like game of thrones or to the dark knight trilogy. It might be good for kids to know that life isn't black and white but this is something that you sort of have to find out for yourself, sometimes not until later in life. I see what you're saying but this isn't exactly uncommon for a kids show.

    Just keep it the way it is, lighthearted fun and character interactions bookended by some cool dramatic storylines. I love the return of harmony and a canterlot wedding but they aren't why I watch the show

    There are two options with discord, either he is evil through and through(in which case you should stop him in any way possible) or he is a sociopath who is unable to understand exactly what he is doing and why it is wrong( in which case it makes him a more tragic character but still one you have to stop in any way possible). I always got the impression that discord was immortal, the embodiment of an idea, so they can't kill him. What other option did anyone have? You can't use kid gloves against someone who is that powerful

    Don't worry about it, IMO there's a small lull in the middle of season 2 but it gets fantastic again towards the end. Episodes 15 and 16 are two of my favorites

    They are awesome, no one's denying that. But I'm one of the biggest dash fanboys around and even I might not trust her with that much power. In the vague future yes, but not now. And (game of thrones fan here) the job of the leader doesn't necessarily go to the one who is best suited for it. Is Twi a better leader than a lot of the Canterlot aristocrats? Probably, but I can't imagine her going after power. I can imagine the canterlot people doing it though. Although in favor of the Twilight, RD, AJ solution they have historically had worse leaders (just look at hearths warming eve)

    . Chrysalis was sent blasting off again, and while I agree that snips and snails deserved a greater punishment, how would you stop discord? Guy's a god mode reality warper and it's pretty hard to keep track of those. Also discord sadistically drove several characters insane and generally terrorized everypony, I'm not in too big of a hurry to feel sorry for him

    Say Twilight snaps, Lesson Zero style but much worse. She won't listen to reason or anypony. Some questions 1: Could Celestia stop her (Twilight won't obey her) 2: Could Luna stop her? 3: Could the rest of the mane 6 working together stop her?

Save her 2: probably give her at least half of it 3: dash 4: Thank her, it desperately needs it 5: Depends on the kind of glasses but I'll say yes 6: I have no money, but if I did I'd get very angry and hunt them down 7: be very surprised, watch hilarity ensue then help her 8: freak out and run 9: let them I guess? 10: die of pure happiness

    I guess if you wanted an accurate picture of everyone's favorite character you'd have to do away with categories altogether- if you can do that sort of thing, I know on some forums there are limits to the number of options in a poll- and just throw all the characters into one poll and see who wins it. And Derpy may well be the most popular character, but the structure of the poll inherently prevents us from knowing that. I would agree it is kind of weird though to throw them into one poll though because you have ponies like doctor whooves and Octavia competing against others like Dash and Twi who have literally received about a million times more screen time/character development. Perhaps we're just better off leaving the poll as is.

    Even if these three were the smartest/strongest/bravest of their races (which they may well be) I can't really picture anypony lining up to give them power, even if I think they could be good choices.

    Keep in mind that the top 3 vote receivers are background characters, and since they aren't in the same category at the mane 6-where the voting is more competitive- it may not accurately represent all of our favorite characters. For example 468 people may like Derpy more than Vinyl Scratch but I doubt 468 people like her more than Fluttershy.

    Meh, she could be trying for heroic reasons, the problem is that there is nothing really in her character that would suggest such noble intentions. I could be biased though because I've never understood trixie's popularity.

    The unicorns assume control of canterlot, obviously twilight has to figure out how to raise the sun and moon. If the unicorns (particularly blueblood) tried to exert power over equestria then the pegasi might secede/declare war. We might have to rehash hearths warming eve all over again. But it will feel more justified because blueblood isn't responsible enough to dress himself much less lead a country.

    Applejack and Twilight, I dunno, for some reason I see them as bonding due to the fact that they're the moms of the group Rarity and Fluttershy, established in Green isn't your color And Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, I see them as good friends due to the fact that they are kind of the least mature and in Gryphon the Brush Off it seemed like they bonded a lot

    They aren't necessarily the best Dash isn't in the wonderbolts yet, we can debate all we want about why, but she isn't there yet Fluttershy is the best with animals that we've seen, but we haven't seen anyone else with her talent Same with pinkie It's clear rarity is getting to be better known but she still has to impress high up people Twilight is probably the best with magic or at least close, but again the only other present day person who specializes in magic is trixie and it should be fairly obvious that twilight dwarfs her ability So they're all talented, but I wouldn't call them the best

    They are either canterlot style snobs that she is rebelling against or hardcore daredevils who she is almost suicidally trying to impress, at least in my mind. I bet they look cool though

    I can only really picture Applejack becoming one for now. As for what ifs and in the future, Twilight would make a pretty good mom, she might have to respect that her child has different interests than her interests though and learn to accept a bit of chaos . I think Dashie would do well eventually too, she would have to learn to put her child before herself but after that she'd be fantastic. Her teaching it to fly would be the cutest thing ever. Applejack is effectively a mom right now, but I think she would have to adapt a bit to dealing with her child. That said, she'd be wonderful . Pinkie might be the only mom in history that was more high-energy than her kid . After a little while I think she'd do fine. Fluttershy might have trouble disciplining her child, but as of Putting Your Hoof Down and Keep Calm and Flutter On she seems to be overcoming those issues. I think Stare Master demonstrated that Flutttershy has excellent mother potential. As for Rarity, her patience would be tested like never before but I think she would be great in the end.

    Luna is destroying this poll about how I expected. I can't say I disagree though, she's amazing, definitely one of my favorite characters
