Because people cry at the most cliché of sad clichés, and because Rainbow Dash. The "emotional" part that apparently made so many people cry was just "don't leave, daddy" and "I love you forever" and so on overused quotes.

Oh, and did I mention how terrible the writing is? I honestly couldn't stand this error here, and this error there. That's not the main reason, though. I don't usually let a few minor errors ruin the fic for me, but the plot, the characters, the clichés... really, everything in the fic – caused me to dislike it.

I'll be blunt and point out the most obvious errors, and yes, there are quite a lot.

Cliché, disorganized (shouldn't be all in one big, blocky paragraph), no punctuation in the dialogues, rushed, bland, and very, very short for one chapter. 

My friend was handed warning points for saying "Cum.", according to her.

If my friend was suspended for saying "Cum." by a mod in which I saw her publicly disagree with (somewhat inappropriately, I might add) , I have reason to believe that was an unjust warning.

Really? I was under the impression that general NSFW talk was allowed, but if it was in an inappropriate and rude context (such as calling the mod in question to you-know-what) then it might be justified.

I dunno how he'd manage to do that.   Being banned and all.

Email is magic My friend did it. He got permabanned, but sincerely apologized through an email and now he's still alive today. 

The blog post in question was posted in public, something that was completely unnecessary since it can be resolved in a private dispute between the banned person (not a friend) and the moderator or admin who banned him. Sometimes I think it should be okay for things like this to be posted in public, but just a few months ago a mod was slandered quite a lot for banning a much-liked member and the whole thing became much more dramatic than it should.

Now, if someone DID actually tell your friend that she's a pile of dirt beneath their feet, then that's wrong, but I don't see how any of the staff would say such a thing. 

Anyway, it's good that you're stating your honest opinion in a reasonable and peaceable way, so I don't believe you'll get a warning (not that I know, hah) but I think if a banned member wanted to apologize, he should do it personally rather than ask another to do it for him.

Yes, and though this may seem unfair because I didn't watch it, I can already tell I won't like it. From your description and from others', I can see that it's only purely for comedy purposes and has no emotion or feeling to it like in any episode from the actual show. Crossovers won't have the same feeling to it whether or not the art is show accurate.

I don't know why everyone found RD and Tank's moments so cute. Applejack rubbing Winona's belly was my favorite part, actually, and it's by far cuter than the former.
