  1. no habla ingles? Yup, I'm still confused. I'm just going to back away slowly and go back to my House marathon.
  2. Are you being satirical or are you being serious about collectively lumping together the entire fanbase in that "description" that sounds like something quoted straight from FOX? I honestly can't tell.
  3. Applejack... you uh... I really like your hat! I tried, but I got nothin. She's just too perfect IMO.
  4. I've been in the furry fandom long before Bronies were even a thing. If you had asked me this a few years ago, before Bronies really took off, I'd say the furry fandom had it worse off. Nowadays? I honestly think Bronies get more flak than furries do. Let's look at it this way. The Star Trek and Star Wars fandoms were treated the same way when they were new. People still see them as geeks and nerds, but you don't really hear much more anymore. As a newer fandom comes along and takes off to where it garners attention from those outside of the fandom, older ones slip into the shadows, only to be taunted with a stick once the fad of tearing into the newer ones dies off some. Now then, do I think one group is worse than the other? No. A small group of stupidly behaving people in each fandom should not skew my judgement on the entire fanbase. I've had overall good experiences in both fandoms, and if I find someone who I can't tolerate, I ignore that person. Nothing more, nothing less. No need to badmouth them or condone the entire fanbase.
  5. I'm waiting on Mane-iac to get here. No, I mean the SDCC toy I ordered.
  6. Oh yea, I know the AWD was the reason I didn't have takeoff lag. It was just funny when they'd finally catch up 4 lights later and had a look of confusion on their faces. Still, even if it wasn't an AWD model I know they still beat the heavier cars off the line. I always felt the thing had plenty of oomph for the tiny 4 banger that was in it, yet I had a friend with a G1 Talon TSi that had close to 600hp I think (I could be wrong, this was years ago)... I think I'd be scared to drive it. lol
  7. I honestly prefer auto. Call me lazy or whatever, I don't care. When I get in a car I'm doing so with the goal of getting to point B, not to sit there and do stuff. I like just hopping in and going, just kind of relax. Set it and forget it! And no matter what, I don't consider autos to be "slushboxes" that are slow. My '95 Talon TSi AWD was an auto and it would still smoke plenty of things, silly Camaros and Mustangs that would try to stoplight race me. Though I can drive a manual just fine. I've had mostly autos, but my '74 Gladiator and 2 of the 5 Comanches I have owned were manuals. I was planning on swapping autos into all of them if I had kept them. I beg to differ, you just gotta do it right. My '96 BMW M3 could do them just fine, and so could my '99 Crown Vic (the looks I got doing that one was funny since it was an old cop car). So could my '91 Comanche, but that's a truck so the lack of rear end weight accounts for that mostly. The Bimmer did them the best though between the two cars since TC could be turned off.
  8. That's a good practice to have, I always hate just being left in limbo with no clue about what happens to my applications for jobs. While I didn't apply for this position yet, it's a very welcoming reassurance for others as well I'm sure.
  9. Anyone got a laptop they want to sell cheap? Need something bigger than my mini 10v for college.

  10. I prefer physical copies for games. I'll buy a CD if it's a band I really want the physical copy for, otherwise I just go digital. The CD gets ripped and then straight to a shelf though. DVDs? Only if it's not on BluRay, though most of the time it comes in a combo pack of BluRay/DVD/Digital. pfft All the good games still come on CDs. Or even better, cartridges! :comeatus:
  11. While I do enjoy the night, and love the landscape that can be seen away from cities like that, I'm a worshipper of the majestic Sunbutt. So... sorry Moonbutt, no hoof kissing from me.
  12. I thought about getting that, but I decided the design just wasn't enjoyable enough (for me anyways). I really really want that coin though, too bad I can't just order it. -_- Now I'm just crossing my fingers for an awesome Mane-iac one. I'll order them all! Not a single tabletop/counter space in my house will be without a Mane-iac. She'll even have a shelf in the shower!
  13. I prefer the night for the peacefulness, and because it's cooler. Night is great for relaxing and just enjoying the outdoors. For productivity though, I want day. Can't do as much at night because of the lack of light. Sure, I have worked on my Jeeps at night before, in a barn with the doors open and such so I had lights but could still smell/listen/enjoy the night, but it sucks having to be restricted to indoors to do stuff like that. I also have a horrible time driving at night because I get really bad starring of lights, so it makes it hard to see.
  14. I try not to swear and I honestly don't enjoy hearing others use swear words just for the sake of it. They have their place for emphasis I guess, and of course when you're wrenching on something and it slips off causing you to skin your knuckles on a rusty piece of metal that's covered in 30 years of grime on the underside of a vehicle. But I really don't want to hear it in normal day to day chitchat. They should be used sparingly, otherwise they come across out of place, overused, and without as much emphasis as they would if used correctly. I could give a very good example of this, showing how one sentence with many swear words in it would just come across laughable if you said it to me compared to one where its just used for emphasis... But what's the point since I'd just be writing bleeps. The stupid little punk that lives next door to me always has his idiot friends over, and what comes from their mouths as they walk down the street makes a Navy vessel clean by comparison. My sis and I just sit inside and laugh at them, shouting out the windows that they should grow up because cursing doesn't make ya look cool.
  15. I've always kind of felt the whole show is just leading up to something. It's not the main focus, but the world does take place post apocalyptic with Finn being the last known human.
  16. Looks like Data got his saucer ornament approved eh? Not sure he meant for it to be that big though, but I approve.
  17. Did some stuff today for my grandparents so I could get some extra money and order the Mane-iac toy, only to still be $10 short since I didn't think there would be tax! ugh!

  18. Got my Mane-iac tote today, wasn't able to open it until now since I was out all day. This thing is HUGE! The dimensions are 32" x 29" x 13". I think I'll hang it on my wall. It also has Optimus riding Grimlock on the other side. While it's a cool image, I don't care one iota about the Bayformers. So it not getting displayed doesn't bother me.
  19. Ever see a really cool picture of humanized Twilight only to realize it was Stocking from P&S when you try to find a bigger version? >.<

  20. What if said person proposed with a jar of ring pops? Would your vows be "until death do us part... Or until I run out of rings anyways"? Me, personally, I don't think I'm cheap. I usually live by " you get what you pay for" and would rather buy a well built, expensive pair of sunglasses for example, then keep buying cheap pairs as they break. My grandparents love buying the cheap stuff and having to constantly replace them it seems. Some stuff I will go cheap on though since I know better. Like HDMI cables and stuff, I buy them on monoprice for mere dollars instead of spending 25 at a store. There is no reason for some things to cost as much as they do. And I refuse to buy diamonds. They are not rare at all and are just controlled by a monopoly. My future fiancé better get used to that idea and find something that's actually worth being meaningful.
  21. I've heard they are your typical poster stuff, like you'd find at a concert or something. Not the really good stuff like the actual movie posters. I thought about just buying the ones from SDCC since I think they are white backed, but I can't be sure and of course buying only two would be the same price as the book basically.
  22. Well just like the ponymania set, if I ever buy this book I'd probably put ones I don't want up for sale if we had a traders forum on here. I keep meaning to ask about that but I always think about it when I'm out and about typing from my phone.
  23. Three words. Brushable. Pony. Dress.
