  1. I hate charlie horses. Especially when you have one in each leg at the same time.

      @Harmonic

      I have yet to get a charlie horse but I've seen some of my friends just collapse, scream, and cry from just having it in one leg. D: You seem to be handling it better than them apparently.

      I hope I don't ever get one. :/ Hope your pain goes away soon.

  4. I love you improvements and I think you're doing great! I really like the style of your art, the line thickness really catches the eye. Although I won't lie and say that bio-engineering was not at the forefront of my thoughts when I clicked on this thread, hehe.
  5. +Most of the family I spend any time with at all is extended family because that's all I really have. On the other hand, spending time with family at all is not something I'm too incredibly fond of, especially since we don't exactly meet eye to eye on things (My Atheism being the main one, some of my extended family is devout Catholic, we get into fights about it often). When I do meet with my family, it's for some special occasion, otherwise most of them refuse to associate with me, so we don't really have any kind of regular "Family night" in any sense of the word. It's not like we really did when my parents were still around either. Basically my father was either overseas working for the military or out drinking somewhere when he was home and my mother worked at a nurse at a hospital and those circumstances did not lead to much time for bonding. I was always introverted so it's not like bonding was something I wanted to do anyway. My brother and cousin are the only two family members I actually feel close with, as they're the only ones I live with and thus talk to on a day-to-day basis. My brother isn't always the most agreeable person but I love him none-the-less, and me and my cousin are very close, he's very intelligent and is a blast to talk to about things like philosophy or current events.

      I don't drink any soda or carbonated stuff, i never really had the taste for it.

      I live off fruit juice and water or Gatorade and stuff, which to be fair with all the acids probably isn't that much better but i just don't like soda's much really. Carbonation burns my tongue.

  14. Thank you. Everyday, I spend quite a lot of time just sitting there alone and thinking and reflecting on ways to improve myself and ways to improve the world. I think it's the most important part of my day, honestly.
  15. If you believe that he's holding you back then he will hold you back. It's as simple as that. If you don't believe he holds you back, then it's an experience that you can use to simply improve your own ability to make up for their lack of ability. If you end up spending all of your time thinking about why this person is holding you back as opposed to thinking of why you aren't improving yourself to make up for it then you're wasting your time. Your misconception here is that the fact he held you up was failure, the truth is that failure is just success from a different point of view. Failure is as much a part of success as success is a part of failure.
  16. I was thinking about the quote "A group is only as strong as it's weakest member", I disagree. I believe the group is only as strong as it lets itself believe it is, regardless of what strength it may actually possess. After all, you could be the most powerful person in the world, and if you didn't believe you were, your power would not matter. Let yourself be as great as you wish yourself to be. A weak group that believes itself to be strong is much mightier than a strong group which believes itself to be weak. This same dynamic applies to the individual. A weak person who believes they are strong will fare much better than a strong person who believes they are weak If you believe you are weak, even if you are currently strong, you are dooming your belief to become a reality, but if you truly believe that you are awe-inspiring, that is a fate you are destining yourself for. For this reason, you should never second guess yourself, simply exist as you are and continue improving, there is no reason to believe you are not wonderful and unique, as you truly are a beautiful and unique person in your own right, it's just that everybody is beautiful in their own way. So let yourself blossom, the only weights you have tied to your ankle are the ones you put there yourself.
  17. Lines came out too dark and weird spots appeared because Paint.NET's selection tool is absolutely horrible at being precise. I hope this looks decent enough. (It probably doesn't, I'll touch it up later if necessary, and trust me, it's necessary. It's only about 30% done at the moment).
  18. It looks really nice! I love it, it looks show accurate and everything, and the expression on her face is hilarious. Do I have your permission to do a coloration of this?

      @MrKenyon I'm trying to imply that's what customer service reps are supposed to be saying in a roundabout way. By "My money" I mean "The company's money". Trust me, I know how much the job sucks and how much they hate it.

      I used to work for Cavalier Telephone. They offer a service called Wire Guard. In a nutshell, for a monthly fee it's supposed to keep you from having to shell out a fortune to repair the wiring in your house should something terrible happen. In practice, it didn't, because they stiffed people out of the services owed them all the time. It was a scam and we all knew it. During my last day on the job I had a good time and told customers like it was.
